I came here for my birthday dinner on November 1, and Im sad to say it was overall disappointing. I had a reservation at 7:45pm and we werent seated until 8:20pm, and then we were seated at a subpar table. It was actually one half of the banquet table in the back. We checked in with the hostess several times during our wait. I understand the night was busy, but I had a confirmed reservation and nothing was done to accommodate our inconvenience. Once we were seated it took a long time for our waiter to attend to us. We watch a table get seated after us and they received chips, salsa and water a solid 10 minutes before we did. Next, we ordered tableside guacamole with no cilantro. The waiter didnt put the order in, and when our guacamole arrived it was pre-prepared and had cilantro in it. Lastly, I ordered a margarita but was brought a replacement glass of wine instead. I specified that it was my birthday in the reservation on Open Table but it was never mentioned at all by the wait staff and no dessert was brought out. I certainly dont expect a free dessert but a friend actually told our waiter directly at one point it was my birthday and still nothing was done. The food was tasty, but the entire experience was frustrating. We were seated late and were hungry and irritable, then had to correct our orders several times and were offered nothing (barely even apologies) along the way. Im sorry to say that when people have asked me how my birthday dinner went, the first thing I say "The service was bad".

Had big hopes, left disappointed. Pricey not for the amount of food but the quality and flavor. Advertised as up scale Mexican restaurant but in reality a very average venue with some Mexican dishes. Their guacamole is made fresh in front of you (great idea) but the amount of salt used was excessive and there was not lemon or cilantro in it. I believe there other reviews commenting the same. Their "carne asada or Tampiquena" is served with yuca fries? Sorry but that is not Mexican and the especial of the day was a red snapper which waiter described as not a Mexican dish (?) Their enchiladas were nothing out of the extraordinary or "upscale" very average. $80 later my husband and I left feeling ripped off. Decor and ambiance were fine. Not worth returning though.

Honestly, Mexican cuisine is not my favorite. O Cocina however, has changed my perspective! I have been to "O" numerous times since they opened, and I am more impressed every time I visit. I love sitting at the beautiful bar (Sean & Teddy are awesome bar tenders). The Professor Plum is my favorite cocktail, but being a beer girl, I usually go for one of the local beers they have that night. Next - the table side guac is so fresh and delicious! I usually order the Salmon dinner - it is flavored & cooked to perfection. The whole vibe of the place is upbeat ... great music, everyone looks happy to be there, and service has always been outstanding. Dont even get me started on the weekend Brunch menu (...chicken & churros). O Cocina is a must visit!

Went in for Sunday Brunch and it was an amazing experience!! As I walked in, I was taken aback by the beautiful sight of the succulent wall that O presents. So unique! We started off with table side guacamole which was excellent. Kenny the Guac Lord was nothing short of a class act, and he makes a killer guac. I had the Hot Mess, which had strong hints of mint and basil and my friend had the bottomless mimoas! For food, I decided to go with the chicken y churros. The the sweetness of the churros compliments the breaded chicken very well with a strawberry on top as a nice touch. The staff were all very friendly and wanted to insure that I had a great time! Will definitely be back to O to check out the dinner service!

Great atmosphere. Very unique look and vibe. Cocktails are very good. I recommend the Honey Im Home if youre a bourbon person. Plantain Empanadas were good. Pork Belly Norteno was good but needs another piece of pork belly per circle. Tacos are a bit pricey but at least they come with a little rife and beans. The Carne Asada was great. Service was very friendly and on the quick side. Its a new, poppin spot and youre kind of paying for the ambience but I dont mind. Will be coming back to try more of the entree items.

A consistent pleasure in every sense. Our server Meghan was delightful and attentive. Food was top notch with unique flavors - this is not Mexican like youve probably had it before. The elevated dishes are at once both comforting and unique. Weve been many times and it works for a casual week night with friends or an intimate date night. All of the inventive cocktails are great and well balanced, and the wine selection and prices are top notch! Not enough good things to say about this place!

We love O Cocina! Have been twice now in one week. It is a fun and beautiful space. Cocktails- inventive and crave-able. We tried the O Paloma and The Freshman. Both were fantastic. Nice wine list, too! Apps- we have had the snapper ceviche and the table side guac....which is a must. Entrees - beautifully plated and so delicious. Try the chicken with mole sauce. The salmon was also incredible. And the Carne Asada. The service has been great...attentive and prompt.

Way over priced and food was covered with additional salt..... no flavor at all to this food except salt. The atmosphere and ambiance is great, but the food is not worth the visit. No burritos, no hot salsa, no beans, no rice, and very limited menu. Will not be back. Advice to owners, step up the menu game, and perhaps add some real flavor to your meals. I think you focused a little too much on the vibe, and not enough on the menu.

I had the pleasure of being served by Nick this past Saturday evening. He is a fantastic young man. His recommendations were perfect, and his service spectacular. It wouldnt be fair if I failed to mention how wonderful the food was. Make a reservation and get there immediately. If you eat nothing else during your visit, you must have the Braised Pork Belly. OMG....

Beautiful restaurant with a breathtaking private room! Food was delicious and artfully plated, LOVED the Ahi Tuna Ceviche and Steak Tacos. The drinks were also good! Our server was quick and attentive! I will definitely be back! Food can get a bit pricy-- but perfect for grabbing dinner for a special evening.

Love the atmosphere and decor. The food was good. Loved the plantain empanadas. Had tacos for dinner and they were good. Our waitress was okay; not exactly friendly, but definitely not rude. Just sort of there. Management did stop by the table to say hello and welcome us, which was appreciated. Well be back!

Yum! O Cocina knocks it out of the park in all the ways that matters - Cool Atmosphere - Check! Great Cocktails - Check! Friendly Service - Check! Delicious Food - Check! They get bonus points for being unlike any of the super Americanized Mexican in town. Now stop reading and go get a taco.

O Cocina features a very cool chic bar with cacti growing on the ceiling! This bar was a really cool chic decor. They serve delicious Tacos and margaritas! A bit more expensive for Mexican at $20-$30 per plate but the feel of the place is upscale enough to justify the price hike!
