My family and I have been here quite a few times now but after tonights horrible experience, we will not be going back. We needed to order more food so we called our waiter over but she kept saying that she was busy and needed a minute. I saw that there wasnt a lot of tables but thought she must had other things to do. So we waited and waited. Then she finally came back with the main dish we ordered but again she said that she was busy and told us to wait. She never came to our table to check on us again for the rest of the night, I had to ask for the check from the owner at the front and we ended up paying at the front. She just kept walking past us like we didnt exist. Due to the upsetting service we did not leave a tip like we usually do. However, the ridiculous thing happened. As we were leaving the owner/cashier stopped us indicating that the tip was not included and told us we had to leave a tip. First of all, apart from the horrible service, she did not have a right to tell me that I had to leave a tip. I started to explain to her that the service was horrible. The waiter ignored us after we asked her to come over multiple times. We were expecting an apology but all the owner/cashier said was ok and didnt even bother to look at us. We usually give great gratuity because we know that waiting is a hard job but the service needs to be good. However, with this horrible customer service and the owner demanding tip, I am extremely disappointed and upset. I do not recommend this place for anyone that wants to enjoy a nice dinner with their family and not have the owner chasing them for tip.

I first started going to Seoul Garden several years ago thanks to my closest friend who happens to be Korean. We used to go to this place all of the time... literally sometimes 2-3 times a week. Their food was always great and the service was amazing! However, Im not sure what happened, but in the past couple of years, the quality of their food has really gone down. The staff isnt nearly as friendly and the flavor just isnt the same. I heard there was a falling out with the owners and the chef (who was apparently the good one) ended up leaving... If youre looking for good Korean food in Rochester, try Youngs!! I think the chef there was the one who left Seoul Garden. I would like to see Seoul Garden go back to the way it once was... simply for nostalgic reasons... However, Ive been back several times and have always left disappointed. The only advantage they have is that they remain the best place in Rochester for Korean Cold noodles!

Have been to Seoul Garden close to two dozen times in the last year. Food is fantastic and service is decent, especially if you go on a Friday during lunch when my favorite waiter was there; a young guy, maybe in his mid twenties. Very attentive and remembered the regular orders. However, on the occasion when I was served by one of the women there to whom English was clearly a 2nd language, youd be pressing your luck to special order anything. Ordering off the menu exactly as is, no problems, but saying "No soy sauce!" or anything else to specialize the order, and if it comes out the way you asked youll be very lucky. As others mentioned, Youngs is also very good. Never any problems special ordering there. I personally prefer Youngs menu and quality of food and service better than Seoul Garden, but the large open room provides less of an intimate, Korean atmosphere found at Seoul.

First of all the service was hideous. We had to wait forever for our order to be fulfilled. To top that off, they sent a waiter to cook the other persons meat on their table, however, they just gave us the meat to cook for ourselves. If thats the policy, dont cook meat at some tables while not cooking it at others. The miso soup may as well been MSG broth. The overall dining experience was absolutely terrible. I dont know how the service was before last Saturday, but Ill never eat there again. Save yourself the money and go to Mcdonalds. No seriously. I wouldve given it negative stars, but google requires me to give it at least one. One star is even too good a rating.

The food here is amazing and the staff is always friendly and speak English, Korean, and Chinese collectively. The menus have pictures so you can see what youre ordering. There are free side-dishes like most Korean restaurants. A student discount is available for RIT and UR students if you show your ID.

I went to Seoul House last night for my birthday and fell in love instantly! The décor and atmosphere were relaxing and comfortable. The service was excellent and the waiter was pleasant. I will definitely be going back as the food was of great quality and freshness. Great for any occasion!

If you like Korean food, you should visit this spot. However, if youve never event tried Korean food, you should definitely come here!! Their bibambap is outstanding, but what really shines is their BBQ. This would be a great spot to bring a date and order the Couples Platter. Try it!

Was taken here by a friend and his family. We had a blast and the food was really good. Mind you this was the first time Ive ever had Korean food and I went expecting to be unsatisfied. The price was very high. But there was alot of food supplied. Most of it was very spicy.

My family loves this place. Ill admit, Ive never had Korean food anywhere else but I really feel the food is fresh and tastes great. After 4 days of hospital "food" for my husband, he picked Seoul Garden as the only place he wanted to eat out!

The WORST SERVICE i ever had in any restaurant. The food was bad, the server rude and welcoming and she didnt even bother to bring our drinks... I would rather go to Youngs for Korean food. Would never ever go to seoul garden again.

Absolutely great food and is on par with Sodam. I would say the two places are interchangeable and you cant go wrong with either one. The pork bulgogi is so so good and they can do the Korean BBQ where you grill it at the table.

Lovely restaurant to go with your date. The food is excellent and the price is affordable. The staff doesnt explain about the ingredients and the different meals so you should go with a Korean friend!

We love the Bi Bim Bab and the Godol Bi Bim Bab. We always have some fried ice cream for dessert! Great tea, great miso soup, everything taste just like when I lived in Korea!

Best Korean Grub in Rochester hands down! Food is always good, place is spotless and staff is helpful and friendly, I would definitely reccomend this restaurant to any one!
