What welcomes you to this new hot spot in the middle of nowhere in Centreville is the throbbing music heard from the parking of endless loops of sugary sweet K-pop songs. The entry grants a preview what is inside videos of 10 troops girl/boy band gyrating to the synthesized music of fun! The restaurant is an open interior, loud and bustling with groups of people and of course more K-pop music filled with round and square tables all each with a grill in the middle because after all this is why one has come to this. The service is friendlier if not quick(only after peak hours. During peak forget it) We went once during dinner time with a line out the door and a late night where it was a bit more relaxed and actually more enjoyable experience. Ill stick with the later. An as the name states this is not for time to bring your gluten, vegan organic friends to eat. They do however use Himalayan salt! There is the usual assortment of starters like seafood pancake and dumplings. Then on to the main event. Here they cook for you from Bulgogi(beef), Kalbi, Prime rib and pork belly which Im sure most will stick too. For the adventurous pork neck, beef tongue, intestine or even tripe. The banchan is a bit lack luster but steam eggs is also part of it. The seafood pancake was a bit thicker than Im use to but not bad. The meats looks fresh but portion vs price is small. The waitress will cook it for you as you wait ever patiently to grab the meat. It smells and looks delicious. Was I excited to try Honey Pig as NoVa is lacking in late night eateries and Korean BBQ Honey Pig seeks to fill the spot. It is fun spot with groups after a late night of revelry on the town(Im not sure what out on the town is in Centreville but lets go with that) but as most Korean food goes it is still over price small portions but a sacrifice for open 24hr with a smile(that is only included during after peak hours only).

Not exactly sure what people like about this place. You pay a premium for Korean street food ? Poor cuts of meat and tons of condiments that cost them pennis. Its all a great gimmick. This company is gonna do well cause they know how to market crap. Seriously take a good look at the quality. Its the poorest of the poor and they are charging a premium. We paid about 25$ each. All the staff is on the floor. No chef. The owners overhead is really low since there are no high salaries on staff, no chef needed since you do the work. Small kitchen so small capital cost. Distant location so low rent for the owner. Really not understanding the value if you look at it from the quality standpoint. Your throw a piece of meat on a hot plate......is that what sells? Do you know how cheap pork is? They make all the condiments in large batches. Its like pennies to them..they throw some home printed "Korean" decor up..I am white and I can be more Korean then them...but they know they dont event need to try hard..they know they are not authentic...I really need to open a Korean BBQ. Profit margin off the roof. Clap clap ...good for them, shame on us and our low standards

Feeling hungry at 1am and need some salty grilled pork to finish out the night? Then Honey Pig is the place. Their 24 hour setup is a nice change in an other wise sleepy area of Northern VA. With a loud and boisterous atmosphere almost around the clock the K.Pop is too loud the general din of the restaurant is also loud because everything is open and made of metal. That is all part of the experience. The food sizzles in front of you on hot plates and cooks while your being attended on by a small quick moving group of wait staff. The pork is their best menu item and not trying some of it once would be a shame. It really is a place to bring friends and have a group just know the wait time can be long depending on what time of day it is.

This place is one of the only names in town when it comes to Korean BBQ. However, that other name in town is markedly better. There is an uneven ambiance in the restaurant. Sometimes I have gone and its a very loud, almost club-like atmosphere. Other times, its more reserved with some quiet music. The food is pretty good, but if you dont know how Korean BBQ works, you might be surprised that there arent very clear instructions about what will happen. Also, when they come and put the meat and veggies on the BBQ, youll have to move quickly to take them off at the right time. I cant help but feel that it would be easier to pace the cooking yourself, rather than have the server come and dump everything on at once.

Lately, I never saw the skinny lady with a snaggletooth. I have enjoyed eating here, but I felt bad when she serves my table. She usually gets table toward entrace, so I shot a look inside before deciding to dine in or not. She was unkind, talking too loud with other employee over tables, and trating latinos contemptuously while serving. She had been working over years, but I have thought why she does not get fired. Guess she did? Anyway, not only the lady but also others must learn proper attitudes from cashiers like big guy and small girl whom I also lately never saw

I have been to other Korean BBQ places, and Ill say that this has the best BBQ out of the ones Ive tried. Whether it was the spicy chicken, pork belly, or their marinated kalbi beef, they cook it to perfection for you (either at your table or in the kitchen). The paired sides vary depending on the day, but I enjoy them every time. The kimchi is pretty tasty. The main BBQ aside, I just think their soups are too salty. Even though the price is very high, I return every time for the delicious BBQ. The dinner wait is very long but Ive never had to wait during lunch.

One of the more popular korean bbq places around. Its a good place to eat and share food with friends and family. It can get packed and busy specially at their other locations so plan well. Food is good specially if your adventurous. Try something new you might even like it. Theres other things on the menu to order: Korean pancakes, noodles, different soups. Know your food and ask questions. They have different dipping sauces too. Service can be lacking sometimes but just call them "yeogiyo" or push the call button if they have them. Enjoy and Happy eating!

Okay -- service was a bit lacking. They forgot to give everyone at our table the small plates and we had to keep asking for water and other sides. Regardless, the lunch special here is a fantastic deal! At a lot of places in NYC, you have to order a ton of meat in order to be allowed to cook at the table instead of the kitchen, but here, it doesnt matter. Lunch orders come with a side of seafood jigae or the cold buckwheat noodles soup, which is delicious. The chap jae here is sub-par though... too oily.

This is the place that got me hooked on Korean food. The establishment is typically a bit crowded, but its hard to complain when the food is so good. Once seated, service is rather quick. I would warn against going during peak hours though! Beyond the food, the place itself does a good job sharing some of the Korean culture - and when I say that I mean the several TVs showing KPOP music videos. Lots of fun.
