My closest friend happens to be Korean and Ive been lucky enough to experience Korean cuisine! I cant think of a food more flavorful or delicious than Korean food and Youngs serves up the best in Rochester!! Furthermore, the chef and staff are humble, polite, extremely friendly, and always welcoming! I cannot say enough about this place. Ive been going to Youngs since its opening and their food is consistently amazing! The chef is truly passionate about his food and you can tell his heart is in it! Definitely my favorite restaurant in Rochester!! Their Food is wonderful! As for their prices, youd be hard pressed to find as much food for less anywhere! The waitresses are very kind, helpful at suggesting what to try, and theyre always bringing seconds of whatever you want! Aside from all that... Korean food is delicious and extremely good for you! =) If youve never tired it, youre really missing out! Additionally, this is a great place if you want to eat family style or if youre looking for a casual relaxed dinning experience!

Really delicious like in Korea. Make me happy. Lots of meat in Kimch chigae. Spicy tasting is superb and you can order stronger spicy taste~~~

Authentic Korean Food but spicy means spicy! The store front appearance hides exceptionally well made Korean food. The food, I was told by my friend who studies Korea, was as authentic as you are likely to see in the USA. It was preceded by included small plates of kimchi, fish cakes, spicy pickles, etc - about eight dishes in total. What I know is the food is delicious but, one word of caution - When they say spicy this is Korean level spicy, much spicier than I am used to. I ordered the Chicken ChamPong. I add hot sauce and pepper flakes to most things I cook. This was very spicy. The kimchi was mildly spicy and tasted great so it is not to be feared. Just be aware. Next time I am going to request mild when I order a spicy dish!

I lived in Korea for a few years when I was younger, and fell in love with Korean food while I lived overseas. Youngs is my absolute favorite place for Korean food in Rochester. I am vegetarian and usually get the bibimbap. They will make it without the egg and with tofu. I love their side dishes, kimbap and pajun as well. Ive also asked them to modify other dishes to make them meat free and they do it no problem. The people who work there are really nice and helpful. The food comes out super quick and fresh. I often order takeout from them and its always ready and hot when I arrive to pick it up. I love bringing friends here who have never had Korean food, its always a great experience for them :)

I have been to Korea and Korean restaurants around the country. Youngs Korean Restaurant is the best of any I have experienced. I am a very regular customer and have never had one item that disappointed me. I have tried almost every item on their menu and they are all exceptional. I have taken hundreds of friends there to experience outstanding Korean food that is exceptional quality--they have all loved the food and experience. Mr. & Mrs. Young are gracious and outstanding owners of the restaurant. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rochester, the USA, and the world. Try it, youll love it. Kennan

Ive never had Korean food before, but I thought the meal was excellent, and most likely authentic. Our waitress, who had a little difficulty speaking English, was wonderful and really did a great job. She recommended some dishes to try, which were a success. I also enjoyed the barley tea that came with the meal. Both my girlfriend and I were unable to finish our food, there was simply too many good things to eat! The prices are very good, between $10-$15 per person. I plan on going back for more soon.

Ive been to many Korean Restaurants, and Im a real stickler for quality food. I have to say though this has been one of the best, if not the best Korean restaurant Ive been to. Like many have stated before me the food is truly authentic, this is as Korean as it gets. Wonderful service, they are the nicest people. And if you havent already you really have to try the food to decide for your self just how good this place is. But ill guarantee you, they wont disappoint.

Im Korean and I can tell you that their food is as authentic as it gets. All the menues are simply awesome and yummy. My mom is a great cook and she even commented that their food is great. If you want to experience the AUTHENTIC and yummy korean food, this is the place. Prices are reasonable and the owners (chef and wife (waitress) are just nice people. They seem quiet and reserved but thats just the cultural thing.

I came here because Sodam was too busy. I should have waited at Sodam. Food is OK but nothing extraordinary. Youngs is not very clean. One of our glasses had dried food stuck on the rim. The waitress apologized and got us another glass. The bathrooms, the carpet, the walls and a big old couch they have are all dirty and/or stained. Im not sure how this has the same rating as Sodam. Were definitively not coming back.

I never really take the time and effort to write these reviews, but this restaurant is honestly one of the only few places in Rochester that is worth giving a review. This week, I went with my girlfriend and the food is just amazing!!! Dont order too much, because the starters they bring out for you will surely fill you up.

Its a close call for me, between Youngs and Sodam (just a few blocks away from each other). I personally like Sodam a tiny bit more (especially if you like crispy Korean pancake), but many of my friends prefer Youngs. Either way, its good food.

I love their Doso BiBimBap. Their version has a lot of different korean vegetables. Their banchan are also good. Compare to other Korean restaurant, this is good food and reasonable price. We definitely will come back for their soup.

I am a Korean who appreciates authentic styles. The foods at Youngs remind me quality home-style dishes back in Korea. Their foods have no exaggerations, just sticking to fundamentals.

This is the best Korean food in Rochester, hands down. The couple who own it are gracious and helpful; the food is just outstanding. If you love Korean food, find this hidden jem!
