New owner ship since 2016 was a huge improvement. I would never set foot in the former Monroe diner, after constant issues from food to service. The new Empire Diner is a go to place to eat, sometimes a couple nights a week. After work or early morning for breakfast, "The Diner" is a family favorite, and lots of friends enjoy going too. Sean and Carolyn are the best servers, always personable, fast, and take note to the little things. Menu doesnt have too much to chose from, but its easy for everyone to find a favorite. Some items are pricey, like the coffee, but over all a fair value!

I wont go here any more since they started distributing the hateful, racist, alt-right, conspiracy-mongering publication "Our Town." I wont go there, My family will not go there. Our friends will no longer go there. You think this is an issue of free speech? Would you go there if they distributed a communist newspaper or an openly Nazi publication? Then why would you patronize a place that distributes White Supremacist garbage? We have freedom, too.

I try always to give this place another chance over and over again and each time it continues to disappoint. Food is always so gross, mushrooms in my lunch tasted spoiled, mold in my coffee creamer and always messing up simple breakfast! And a little too pricey if you ask me. Yuck. Im done wasting my money here.

the service is fine. The food is good but there is usually something wrong. Examples being like the food is not hot enough, or not quite as described. The everyday specials are pretty good. The atmosphere is very nice. Lots of natural lighting and plenty of seating. It is a very warm and inviting place.

Food was ok. But service was rushed and once food was brought out, they rushed you and pressured you to hurry. If you want to relax and enjoy your meal they get 1 star the food gets 3 stars. Service felt routine and for it being fathers day, the staff treated guests poorly. Will not return again.

Great, friendly, fast service. Typical diner menu, chicken soulvaki platter was decent. Desserts looked delicious but I didnt have any. My wife enjoed her eggplant panini. I only ate here once so far so this is based solely on that experience and meal.

I got disco fries and they are half the size of what they were when it was the Monroe Diner. They also are not open all night anymore, which is why I havent been here in months.
