trying to figure out where the 5 star reviews came from? was here only for brunch and didnt stay overnight at the inn but i was not impressed with this place at all and wouldnt return in the future. We ate brunch in the hallway as it was suggested by the hostess that that area, for 2, was quieter and more private than the dining room. Even though there were only 2 parties in the dining room we sat in the hallway. What a mistake that was.. we were ignored for a good amount of time before we got service. wait staff is untrained young teenage children whose service is less than mediocre. served water in dirty glasses, french toast sticks were like rocks covered in sugar, the fruit salad was NOT fresh at all and the entrees were served ice cold. the hot chocolate was good but takes 20 minutes to make. They didnt have any packets of regular sugar but had every other kind of sugar available??? when we asked for sugar they brought a sugar bowl and no spoon.. how do we know someone didnt stick their dirty spoon in there... unsanitary.. also as we were eating someone threw dirty sheets over the banister that landed in the hallway a few feet away from where we were eating. what a joke. waste of money on this experience.

Exquisite food, breath-taking decor, tranquil surroundings - just a few ways to describe the little slice of heaven that is The Borland Inn. Due to unforeseen circumstance, my family was without a safe, comfortable place to stay and we were welcomed with open arms. Unlike most patrons, we were not there for one or two nights - we were there for a few weeks and the service never changed! It was excellent from the time we arrived and just as exceptional by the time we left. Instantly, I felt at home. Words can not begin to describe the amount of gratitude for the gorgeous establishment with world-class customer service. From the sweetest, kindest young man that assist the Inn to the hilarious and warm-hearted Inn family, we never wanted to leave. A moment in a rocking Chair on the porch will wash away any stress or worries you may have. The delightful Inn is nestled in the charming village of Montgomery. Dont let the "sleepy town" look fool you - there is plenty to do! We had the pleasure of being in town during the summer concert series! If I ever have to be in that part of the world, The Borland Inn would be the only place I would stay. From now on, it is my home away from home.

Beautiful Greek Revival Style B & B right in the middle of a lovely town. Everything you need is within a few blocks walk. Your host Anna goes out of her way to make you feel like its your home. Home is like stepping back into the early 1800s. If you love early American old world charm this the place for you. Anna has seen to the smallest detail to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The decorations throughout the home are a great mix of styles, from the traditional to the funky. Cant say enough about our stay. Annas folks are great fun too!

I’ve been here a few times for regular brunch and it has always been delicious, so I thought it’d be a good spot for the day after send off brunch for my wedding, and I was RIGHT. As my family arrived we had a buffet of quiches, meats, fruit salad, and crepes, and two rooms to ourselves with tables, chairs, and a bar. The food was delicious, as anticipated, and the staff was just the right amount of attentive. I would gladly recommend this location for a day after wedding brunch, or any brunch event for that matter.

Our elopement was priceless!!! Great people and food. They provided an intimate ceremony, lovely master bedroom, top notch food and wedding cake for an AMAZING price. Thank you so much Anna, Susan and family for allowing us to wed in such a lovely house. We cant wait to come back for our anniversary!
