This little diner would be a prime candidate for one of those Gordon Ramsey/Restaurant Rehab/Please Help My Failing Business type shows because it definitely had all the qualifications for such a thing: Let me start off by saying the customer service was A1. We never got our waiters name, but he was a kind and attentive man and was extremely nice to us. That being said, heres where they lost us as returning customers: Bad sign number 1, we came on a Saturday evening and the place was practically empty. Just me and my friend and 2 other couples were here. On a Saturday night! One of the busiest nights for restaurants. But ok, whatever.....Bad sign #2, it was 7p and they told us they were closing at 8p. Huh?! Ive never been to a diner that closed before midnight if not 24 hours, and this one was closing at 8 pm! Weird! Okay whatever....we sit down and start browsing the menu. Our sweet waiter brings us water (tap of course) and we give our order. He takes our order and offers to bring us back bread. We said yes and he did... 2 large slices of panini bread, 1 for me, 1 for my friend. Woah. Ok, strange. Bad sign 3..... Ok whatever, because the bread, though small, was warm and tasty. The food comes out. I ordered STUFFED shrimp with crabmeat STUFFING, with 2 sides, cheesy mashed potatoes and sautéed broccoli.....what i GOT, was 5 large unwashed, uncleaned shrimp that smelled like that theyd just walked right out of the ocean and onto my plate, with slimy hard crusted crab meat sitting on TOP of the shrimp, not stuffed, with a side of watery mashed potatoes with a giant slice of cheese plopped on top of it, and frozen broccoli thrown in the microwave and heated up and put on the plate. TERRIBLE! My friend ordered the surf and turf, which was supposed to be a juicy steak, with stuffed shrimp and clam on the side, Cheesy potatoes and broccoli. What she GOT, was a dry, flattened piece of flank steak with the same disgusting crusted crabmeat shrimp and a strange crusted clam. EVERYTHING WAS CRUSTED! I took one bite of the shrimp and I almost passed out. It was awful. I asked the waiter to change my meal and explained that it wasnt what I expected. He was nice but argued with me that thats how they do their stuffed shrimp. However, THERE WAS NO STUFFING! The shrimp was thrown on the plate and crusted. I told him to change it and he said, I have to ask my manager first. Huh?! Well the manager was standing within earshot behind the counter and looked over at me bashfully asking to change my meal and hesitantly said, "yea I guess she can change her meal". Wow. Ok whatever.... so I requested to just change to fried butterfly shrimp. Simple. No one can mess that up, right??! Ha ha!! What came out was the same uncleaned raw shrimp, pounded in panko breadcrumbs and microwaved. Not even fried. The shrimp was literally lost in this nasty panko crusting. I ate 1 shrimp and lost the rest of the little appetite I had left. My friend too was dissatisfied with her meal and we decided it was time to leave....Not that we had a choice ANYWAY, because they started turning the lights off on us at 7:45, as a sign to hurry the hell up I suppose. Awesome! We were ready to go anyway... As were packing up our dog food and waiting for our checks, a kitchen staff guy is rolling overflowing trash bins through the main dining area right around our food and the tables and another guy is mopping the floors. We were mentally screaming at this point. We paid, and left a little after 8. This was my 1st time eating here and my friends 2nd, and both of us have vowed NEVER to return to this hellhole for the rest of our lives. How they havent shut down yet, is honestly beyond me. Sad, because our waiter was a sweetheart and they have a lot of stickers on their front door of how popular they once were, so Im not sure what happened. Did we come on a bad night? Did we get there too late? I cant say, but God help this place. Peace.

They said they wouldnt cook my eggs the way i wanted it. They dont know how to make hard boiled eggs. They made me wait a long ass time for them to tell me that they dont usually make hard boiled eggs so my eggs came out all uncooked and unboiled all the way. My waffles were hard as stone. I dont recommend this place to anyone. This place is absolute garbage. Think twice before going. They suck.

Food was great but the service was terrible. It took us nearly 10 mins before a server came to our table and took even longer for our food. It seems on that day the waiters attention was at a table who had large party and we were ignored. I didnt want to leave a tip but my wife put $2.00 on the table when I wasnt looking.

Staff were extremely attentive from the moment we walked in. Food was generously proportioned, coffee good. Honestly cant find anything to complain about. The place itself was well lit and clean. Prices definitely reasonable. All in all it was a good diner experience. Will come back again

I eat here 75% of the week lol. Since i live like 3 block away. Cnt complain. I just dont like to see the boss all stressed out and working his butt off. He seems really tired sometimes when i go. He needs to rest.

There is a large variety of food on the menu. They have lunch and dinner specials. Good burgers. We had the steak, which was very good. Reasonably priced. Good coffee and soups.
