I rate it between 2 and 3 stars. They have an egg sandwich on a roll on the menu, I like 1 egg rather than 2 and dont care to pay the same price. I was getting it for a while but then was told all sandwiches are 2 eggs, 1 egg no longer allowed. Seems ridiculous but thats 1 story for you. 2nd story. Im the reason they have chocolate chip pancakes. When they finally introduced it I ordered it. Only to get back and open my package to see that the choco chips were on top of the pancakes, not inside or even cooked with the pancakes. I nevered ordered them again. 3rd story. This entire neighborhood suffers from bad pizza. They make all these special item pizzas that is not really in high demand so you have a bunch of pizza just sitting around. The regular slices are also not that good. The slices are the equivilant of a dollar slice, but sold at 2.40 per slice. Unless you are starving and stuck in the neighborhood, save your money. Lastly I got a bagel with cream cheese and it was 2.40. The bagel isnt even of high quality, I mean for that price you might as well go to dunkin donuts for a bagel. The prices can be a bit crazy. The staff is ok but can be rude depending on the mood and day. This place is honestly here because of the post office next door, the lefrak housing complex that takes up most of the block and the building where the police and others work next door. The heavy traffic and lack of options in close proximity are why this place still exists and business has survived for SOOOOOO long.

today around 11:47 am went to get some breakfast because I did not feel like cooking ordered some food long story short the food is good but the reason for my review is the manager / owner that was there this easter sunday now mind you I dont mind waiting for my food finally it was done he put it in a brown paper bag waiting for him to put it in a plastic bag but thanks to one of the waitress / server he stopped what he was doing to talk to her and kept me waiting then finally after she finally stopped talking him as well finally he put my food in another bag not a new one but a plastic bag that was on the counter since I came in what made me mad was as he was putting the food in the other bag he coughs right on the bags which I feel is disgusting I should of said something but I did not I just said thank you and all I got was an attitude when I got outside I took my food which was not covered properly almost fell out of the aluminum tray and put it in one of the bags I got from the grocery store this person dont know his name is too damn arrogant and disgusting why cant grown adults cover their mouths

I used to like ordering from this diner inasmuch as it is around the corner from where I live. Id often order from the diner for breakfast as a treat and I cant stand long to cook for myself, due to a disability. Maybe they changed the cook in the past 2 or 3 years, leaving the heavy taste of bacon would be in my eggs and or home fries. I do not eat meat, especially bacon and sausage. The cook was not cleaning the grill or keeping one side of a large grill for breakfast meats and the other side for eggs and fried potatoes. As many places Ive eaten in or ordered from Ive never had this experience. The esablishment should consider & respect the various customers who frequent the place. I complained to the man who takes the orders, but nothing changed. So, I could have given four stars and continued to patronize Silver Spoon but they have lost out on the rating and a former loyal customer. I dont like struggling for my food especially if I pay for it.

I seriously have nothing bad to say about this place. Service was great. And the menu? Truly impressive with fantastic prices. My omelet was SOOO good -- and they even had weird options like pepperoni! Go for it! I also really liked that you pay at the counter. I didnt feel rushed-- and could have sat there with my unlimited coffee all day. They charge you 75 cents if you pay with a credit card for an order thats less than 20 bucks. But honestly, Id rather they do that then tell me that I have to pay in cash! This is a place that definitely has regulars, and as Im moving to the area, Im looking forward to being one of those regulars. They say, though, that a diners true test is how good their burgers are. Thats what Im getting next time, and Ill adjust my review accordingly. And lets not forget about the pizza is great not top of the line but is better than any dominos pizza or pizza hut in the area.

Horrible. This place is not very clean and food is average. Ive also tried ordering and the person taking my order was rude that I decided not to place the order anymore after he proceeded to rip me off by telling me I had to order blueberry pancakes separately when all I wanted was for them to replace the regular pancakes that came with my order with blueberry ones. I didnt need two sets of pancakes! I would never go back to this place again even if it is just around the corner.

The local office workers call this the Greasy Spoon. But its your average dinner that caters to the breakfast and lunch crowd at the office high rise. They even have a full on pizzeria inside. Prices tad high, theres a credit card minimum (how is this not illegal yet) and they charge tax on everything including pizza, which is annoying.

Emphasis on speed rather than quality. Some items overpriced. Some menu items embarrassingly poor quality (ie roast beef dinner), others pretty nice, like meatloaf, chicken, burgers. Usually good pizza. Staff can sometimes be surly, sometimes very nice. Im a regular customer, and I still get occasional attitude.

The place is very diner-like so I don't ecpect the food,to be awesome. The food is decent and the service is great. They take a little bit to deliver vut who doesn't. The major problem is the prices. They are a little on the expensive side.
