After a long time of wanting to try one of their bagels I finally gave it a shot and I must say I was very disappointed. I walked in and wished the staff a good morning to which I got no response. I then ordered an onion bagel toasted with vegetable cream cheese. I was told that they dont toast their bagels despite the fact that there is a large sign at the entrance that says "Hot Bagels". I thought they had their own cream cheese (like most bagel shops) and to my surprise they pulled a Philadelphia Cream Cheese container out of a refrigerator. I then wished them a good day and again received no response. The bagel was okay but nothing special. All in all it was a disappointing experience and I wont be returning.

JKs breads are excellent in quality. However, their staff should be educated in proper food handling. I bought bread from them three times already but not one time that the staff used a tong to pick up my order but the staff pick it up using a bread sheet that does not even cover his/her entire hand,meaning parts of the bread still get in touch with the staffs hand---the same hand that receives money from the customers. They should use TONGS to pick up breads,NOT the bread/cookie sheets.

Ive lived in the area for the better part of 40 years and for me, there is no other bagel shop. The bagels are excellent and the staff are real cool. I recently moved to Long Island and there isnt a bagel shop that even comes close. If youre still in the area-You have no idea how good you got it man.

I have gone to this bagel shop many times down through the years they always have consistently the great bagels and coffee, staff always use tongs when handling food!!
