The only problem with Galloways Bakery is deciding which of my favorite confections to select! The pies are so delicious, every one of them is a winner. Each of my family members have their personal favorite. The apple turnovers are so delicate and delicious as a breakfast addition or with afternoon tea and the jelly donuts are addictive. Now, I love all of the pies but my favorites are, banana cream, chocolate cream, key lime, lemon meringue and apple crumb. When I want a chocolate fix I get the vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. Its the best chocolate frosting in Westchester! I just gave myself a craving so Im off to Galloways to satisfy my whim!

I tried their individual tarts, the berry crumb, lime meringue and banana cream tarm and I must say they were terrible. They tasted like artificial coloring, specially the blueberry and the lime meringue, in which the custards color was neon green - Galloway may be good at the baking bread but definetly not at baking tarts/pies -never going back!

Since they are only open on the weekend you can be certain that the pies are fresh. The place always looks clean. Nary a crumb on the floor nor a smudge on the glass. Amazing amount of products in such a small bakery. Berliner jelly doughnuts, apple pie and banana cream are perennial favorites.

Open just three days a week (F,S,S) but it is worth it. I stop here every weekend to get a dessert to bring to family events. The Pecan and Cheese Danish are amazing as well as the individual sized Pecan Pie tarts....YUM!!! Cash only, but they have an ATM so you never have to worry.

The pecan tart was pretty good (jelly-like filling instead of running all over the place), and the meltaway was soft. I would stay away from anything fruit flavored though, as they taste artificial. Blueberry muffin and apple filling tasted synthetic.

Ive heard how good this place is for a long time and decided to go the day before Thanksgiving. Crowded but the staff was eager and efficient. Pies were delicious but over priced at $24 each.

Skip the cookies and cakes. Head straight for the jelly donuts or better yet, the jelly donut holes! TO DIE FOR! The chocolate and banana cream pies are always a hit as well.

Its a Old-School gem. My wife and I drive from the city for their pies and sticky donuts. The banana cream pie is outrageous.
