Ok so the first time I went here It wasnt too bad except the fact I took my kids to the ladies room to wash their hands and that was absolutely disgusting to the point i felt grossed out and no longer wanted to eat there but I figured we are already here my kids are hungry and we live 2 hours away. Now we went back a second time because again we were passing through the area and AGAIN the bathroom was gross! So as my brother and I plus my kids are sitting down eating next to the wall closest to the register when you first walk in. I here my brother yell oh hell no and then spit his food out as we are all eating 30 min into being there so Im like what in the world is wrong with you so he then tells me to look at the wall that our table is pushed against and its a roach crawling I was absolutely disgusted I told him to immediately get my kids ready and I tryed to take a picture but it quickly ran into a small hole on the wall. So I went to find the manager and I couldnt believe what she said to me which was.... first of all it seemed as if she tryed to hush me and quickly try to refrain from being loud about the subject and then she says well I apologize this is a restaurant that carries food such as poultry and produce so stuff like this does happen. Um excuse me? Yes maybe customers can bring these disgusting things into the restaurant but if you were on top of pest control coming here customers would not see this type of stuff WHILE they are eating! Then she proceeds to say I will make a phone call to pest control tomorrow will you be leaving? We most DEFINITELY WILL BE LEAVING. AND THEN SHE PROCEEDED TO GIVE US A REFUND SO NOW ITS BEEN 2 WEEKS AND STILL NO REFUND HAS BEEN PLACED BACK ON MY CARD! I WILL BE CALLING MY BANK AND PUTTING IT IN AS A DISPUTE! AS WELL AS CALLING SOMEONE WHO IS OVER THAT RESTAURANT!!!

I had a small plate of salad and went to the restroom. On my way there my nose was accosted by a putrid smell of stagnant water and what could only be described as urine smell. I noticed standing water in the room used for filling drinks by the wait staff and when I got to the bathroom you could tell there was a problem with standing water in there as well. By the time I made it back to the table I had lost my appetite from the smell. My fiancé also smelled it and asked the waitress what the smell was? She was very kind and immediately got the manager for us. He stated that he had a couple customers who smell bad that have been banned from other restaurants in the area that always sit in the section on that side of the restaurant. My fiancé stated he had a hard time believing that a couple customers could cause half of the restaurant to smell like urine. The manager then back tracked his previous statement and tried to explain it was caused by the age of the pipes, drains and building. He then asked us if we were a couple whom had previously complained recently and we were insulted by the insinuation of such. We live 250 miles away and have never before been to Albany. We have no Golden Corrals in our area but based on our experiences in North Carolina weve visited we were very excited to visit. We will not return!

If I could give it zero stars I would. Horrible staff, horrible food and I picked up 4 plates until I found a clean one. Oh And three forks. The pancake syrup had hair on the spout and there was hardly any syrup at all. I came with my girlfriend to eat breakfast and left the ihop about 5 minutes away because the line was very large. When we came in, we waited 5 Minutes next to the sign that said "please wait to be seated" and then finally I asked the woman working there who saw us waiting when someone would seat us and she said "just buy drinks, pay and sit where you want". So we did that and went by a few messy tables until we found a decent one. The restaurant was so messy my appetite was diminished shortly after sitting down. The condiments on the table werent even clean. There were salt and pepper shakers, A1 steak sauce, and sugars that were dusty and didnt look like they were picked up in days. I have been to Golden corral in Virginia and it wasnt even a fraction of how close to crap this place was. DONT GO THERE. My girlfriend and i ended up leaving and it was a waste of $31. I REPEAT DO NOT GO (unless its a date you really want to disgust)

As for buffets this is very good. Most of the staff are nice people with the exception of one server who I dislike as she ignores the customers. I really wish there was a section for people without kids. Sorry but I dont like kids running around and babies making lots of noise and parents ignoring them. If you have kids why dont you make them mind in a public place. I will say something to you if your children are a nuisance. Please try to remember we paid for our meal as well and your childrens noise fussiness and disruptions are not what we paid for or desire. A place with no children allowed would be fantastic for many customers even though they wont say so.

I always look for the Golden Corral as they are well known for great food for the family.I moved from Florida to No. Ada. Ma. where there is no Golden Corral So I Google search it and found this one in Colonie. We went there March 2nd I was somewhat disappointed with the service and selections there. Im use to a much larger Corral but as for the food it was very good for what there was that day. I didnt fine the personal very friendly as we are use to in Florida. I am planning on trying your Corral once again for the prime rib that is being advertized this coming Friday and the weekend. I sure hope we are not disappointed once again. Looking forward to a good meal!

I used to like going here. Then I saw on the news who owned it,and what he was in trouble for. Nasty,take the tax payers $,and dirty. Also the last time I was there,they had found something on the floor in a room off the private area. They were all very hush hush about it,with some of the women having looks of disgust on their faces. Whatever it was,got scooped into a box,and out it went. So I go from a 4 star,to no star for this location. This man has made millions off the system,not to mention what he gets from this eatery. To bad,I used to like it here. I have to give a star to post,I take it back right here.

18.94 per person...are they serious! The food is always good and prices use to be reasonable but they doing to much and nothing all together! The carpet is filthy nasty and give the place a foul odor, the bathroom sink is so nasty it shows that it is not cleaned regularly where the dirt and scum has been there so long it is visabley a turn off. Staff and management is always pleasant but my point is at least clean up the envirinment and make the prices more affordable for a family or a crowd
