The food is generally good and we go there often because it is the closest buffet. I do have one MAJOR gripe. Every time we go there the clams are always picked through and there is nothing but empty shells in the tray. EVERY TIME!!! I cant imagine what kind of rude or ignorant people would do this. It is so frustrating. And the waitresses dont seem to ever notice that there are no clams, just the shells, unless you tell them. I dont see this ever happening at other local buffets, only here. Maybe someone should put up a sign. Next thing you know, these same idiots will be cracking the crab claws, extracting the meat, and leaving those shells in the tray, as well. I cant tell you how angry this gets me. The waitress should yell at these people or at least put up a sign. This has happened every time Ive been here, so there must be more than one inconsiderate person doing it. The only time it should be allowed is if the person is doing a take out order. Then I can understand he wouldnt want to get charged for the weight of the empty clam shell. In that case the empty shells should be put off to the side. Everyone else should know better. Apparently a lot of the customers are uneducated on how to act at a buffet. Take the whole damn clam with you back to the table. The waitress will be more than happy to take away the shells. Thats what theyre paid for.

Walking into what use to be a Old Country Buffet, its easy to see bits and pieces of what use to make it such. Situated in a very, ethnically diverse part of Schenectady, there are plenty of different faces who dine here. Sadly, the largest ground is fat red necks who pick on the wait staff behind their backs and sometimes to their faces. The staff put on a smile and take it, so I can only hope people like that die from obesity. Being a buffet the only things you need to ever expect from the waiter or waitress you have is how good they do on refills and on bringing you the bill. Both are handled with speedy results, even when the restaurant becomes more on the crowded side. The buffet itself has a huge selection in dishes, and a sushi bar that is excellent! While my old man loved the sushi bar and their fresh wasabi, I stick to the buffet portion. My favorite dishes are the peanut butter chicken, fried zucchini, and the crab rangoon. I also love to grab some broccoli out of the chicken and broccoli, its always good. And for the prices this place charges, its a great restaurant to sit down with friends and family and enjoy a couple plates.

I have been to many buffets so I tested this one, first lunch is 7.50 today Saturday, second sampled the food, BINGO, no other chinese buffet in NY serves flavoring this good. From here to White Plains, Yonkers, Longisland, this one recieves 5 stars, the waitress served me another soda as my current plastic cup emptied and on top of taking plates away, if you do not tip the hardworking waitresses, your a moron, and the review about the clams, by God your not Pleased, go buy clams I can sense your a seafood Hog

Best buffet in the area. Great variety of quality food, excellent service, friendly staff. I really love the fried zucchini; its so crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Other favorites are roast pork, coconut chicken, steamed muscles, and baked squid. Subtle variations in the menu make it fun to try different days of the week. Very affordable prices for both lunch and dinner menus. Also, theyre open on most holidays so its a great place to go when you dont feel like cooking! I highly recommend it!

I have been going to this place for many years. I ha e never had a bad experience at all. Everyone that works there is very nice amd will bend over backwards to take care of the customer. The food is some of the best that i have eaten the only place that was better was the golden dragon on RT5 in Scotia but it is to bad they closed down. I cant remember anyone that was there at the same time i was and argue about anyone or anything ever. Well worth the time and money. Thanks Mike

They were busy (which cant be helped) but we had a party of 8 (3 of us were not eating - we were staff) and the staff at United Buffet were so rude. They dont deal well with people with disabilities and then tried to have us pay twice (after we paid ahead of time). I couldnt believe how unfriendly they were. I wont be going back alone, let alone with my job. Only thing they had going was cleanliness. Id rather drive an hour to Wilton Golden Corral for such Americanized food.

A good buffet with a selection of choices that will allow most people to enjoy their meal. I wish they would use gluten-free soy sauce, a simple change most restaurants have already made to make more options available to customers. I didnt find the staff rude or inattentive. They cleared the plates before I could ask and got more tea without any attitude so not sure what other diners expected but I felt they were fine considering its a buffet not a sit-down restaurant.

Charge a 10% service charge without telling you. There is a small sign at front of door that says "party over 5 will have extra charge". Food was not great. The servers mix serving utensils with different foods. Potatoes were runny. Sushi was terrible. Will not attend again. For 70$ Id rather have my family eat at a restaurant and have good Service and healthy food.

quality of food doesnt match price, they charge almost 10 dollars per person to eat here but most of the food is overcooked, mainly Chinese dishes, not a lot of American dishes, I guess I had to expect this seeing it was a Chinese buffet and you dont see chefs behind each buffet cooking fresh food like at Golden corral

Horrible food and watreses with additudes. This is not Chinese food. It is American. Dirty spoon, dirty plates and dirty ice cream machine. The bathroom had a stopped up toilet with feces in it. The bathroom floor had tissue with feces on it. Urine was all over the toilet seat. Very dirty place.

Hot food was hot, cold food cold. Everything was delicious. AND when I asked if they had Riesling wine (not on the wine list), they did! Service was not "overbearing". I hate "helicopter waitresses" that are always there when you just as soon eat in peace. A plus server & buffet service.

Drove 100 miles to this buffet, I was not displeased at all, the food tasted clean, the plates are clean the food was very tastey and Id drive back here today if I could. This is by far one of the very best buffets have to offer. I do not work here and I am not family.
