This little gem is tucked away in a very unassuming location, but dont be fooled by its humble outside decor! Stepping through the door you arrive in a pleasant, clean, welcoming restaurant that wants your business! The delightful oolong tea was served in a warm porcelain pot with thick, charming tea cups. The longer we were there the stronger it becaming, enhancing the meal. This is the only Asian restaurant in the area that had dishes we could eat with our dietary situation: no corn syrups and no lactose. The steamed chicken with veggies was spot on, and the orange chicken had large pieces of chicken. We requested the sauce on the side for those in our group who do not use sauces, and that is precisely what was served! The wonton soup was perfectly balanced, not too salty or brothy, but leaving room for everything to be appreciated. Nothing was greasy or left to sit under warming lamps. The waitstaff was very kind and patient, and simply welcoming. We will be making this a favorite eatery.

Good place to stop by for dinner. Really nice atmosphere and decor. Traditional asian kitchen (american asian, you know). Really enjoyed their special wonton soup. Prices mostly are $8 to $12. However, the waiter was not attentive, clearly showed us how tired he is, never proposed to add hot water to our tea, never said "thank you", and not a single smile. I had to wonder around to find myself chopsticks. Only our good mood, their decor and good soup saved his tips. Well stop here again; hope well get same tasty entries and different waiter.

This is a restaurant for people who have never left the suburbs for real Chinese food. Had dinner here after a business meeting. Dumplings were okay; everything else was tasteless. Seafood with black bean sauce tasted like soy sauce. Even the chili sauce had no flavor. Moo shu- usually a safe bet - was soupy and overlooked. Also, given the area, it was not cheap. Seems to have a local, elderly clientele who are regulars.

Reminiscing about Uncle Tais in Houston. I took my bride there. Here almost 40 years later she likes this place. We were almost Thai exclusive but she liked the shrimp in ginger sauce served in a foil. My shrimp and scallops in black bean sauce were also good. If they add the seafood at the end and let the heat cook it, it would be perfect. However, no Chinese place does this.

This restaurant has delicious Chinese food, I have been going here for years and the service and food is always great. It is easy to miss this gem because of the location and the very plain outside, but once you walk in to Hunan, the decorations are all very beautiful. They have a big assortment of great quality food; the wonton soup and sweet and sour chicken are my favorites.

Ordered a childrens cheeseburger meal, and received a dry piece of meat that was over cooked. No bread or toppings were included. Stale potato chips and a scoop of rice came on the side. I ordered my food at 5:48pm and did not receive it until 7:02pm. I would not recommend this place at all. Gave 1 star because I had to, but would give a zero if there was an option.

food was ok, service was horrible order "crab puffs" but it was only cream cheese asked the waiter if there was a price difference between regular cream puffs and crab puffs .. he snatched the plate away from me and said Well do u want them or not and walked away without me giving him a answer .. he never came back to our table to ask if we needed anything else ...

Ordered delivery. Service was fast and the delivery person was super nice. Food had good flavor. Ordered beef and broccoli and sweet and sour, with wonton soup. Broth on soup was good and bad a hint of ginger. Not a fan of the crab puffs, not enough filling in comparison to the fried fan top, they need more filling.

WORST FOOD EVER. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. THE BEEF WAS HARD AND CHEAP, THE SALAD WAS PLAN AND SMALL, AND THE CHICKEN WAS DRY. THE GUY GAVE ME THE TOTAL OVER THE PHONE AND THE DRIVER CHARGED ME 3.00 EXTRA ON THE BILL WHICH WAS COOL BECAUSE HE DID DELIVERY THE FOOD. OVERALL 20.00 FOR CRAP

This is the first review I have ever written but I saw some negative ones. So, my family has been going here for 26+ years. We have had our Christmas dinner there and my son picks it every year for his birthday. The food and service have been perfect every time any of us have ever been.

Best Chinese food restaurant in town. The food is cooked to order, and always fresh and hot. You can tell it doesnt just sit under heat lamps all day like at other Chinese restaurants. The staff are courteous and respectful. Ive been going here for 10+ years, and they never disappoint.

Honestly one of the worst places Ive ever ordered too in the longest of times. The food was horribly dry and bland and their customer service is absolutely horrible. They false-advertise half of the things they list on their menu as well. When I say this, I mean it: Do not go.

The shrimp still had the hard shell on the tails, the meat tasted bland and the chicken had no flavor at all. The fried rice tasted like it had been sitting out all day and I paid over $30.00 for the meal after delivery.. I will never order from there again..

Have been dining here for years. Food is excellent, and the staff is well trained in fine dining service. Please dont take my word for it, I hardly leave the suburbs to go to DOWNTOWN Conroe Texas, Pop 82000.

I had a to go order. Even with all the time it took to get back to my office, the spring roll was still crispy and tasty. I had the shredded pork with garlic sauce and fried rice. It was good, Ill go back.

Its hardly noticeable from outside, but has the most authentic Chinese Ive had in Texas. My kid is the pickiest eater in the world, and somehow finished all his food. The art is really something special too.
