Starlite just completed a renovation and was featured on the show Restaurant Impossible. I had never visited prior to the Reno but here is what I have to say about my dinner last night: We were greeted immediately and seated shortly after at a table in a bad location near the kitchen. A manager came over to our table and apologized for the location and said he would move us as soon as he could. We have been told this in the past elsewhere and just figured it was a nice gesture. Prior to our entrees coming out we were moved to a nice corner table and were comped two glasses of wine "for the trouble" which was really no trouble to begin with. We had the spaghetti rustica and a penne vodka. Portions were large and the food was tasty. Lastly I thought the inside was nicely done and our waiter was really nice and attentive. We will return.

I was hopeful when we entered the dining room. Quickly our experience went downhill, Ralph "owners son" was awful. He cursed, loudly disrespectful to the waiters and waitress staff. He ordered them around out loud, condescending to the staff. REALLY REALLY bad... Lets get to the food, artichokes cold and raw, baked ziti, mushy, gravy was not authentic, pasta fagoli cold and not really fagoli. Attire, there is a long haired waitress, breasts were so exposed in her neck blouse, couldnt understand this. While some staff standing around. Their personal conversations werent appropriate and easily heard. Get it together or close.

Working here was the worst kitchen I ever worked in. They use cheap ingredients, never wrapped thier food for proper storage in their coolers, the kitchen equipment seldomly is clean. The grill, stoves, hood fans, and floor is very nasty! This was back in early 2013, pretty sure they r still the same. Knowing Patricia (the owner) she will look at this. I hope she reads this I only hope this place is shut down

Then Holy Grail of Pizza! Ate my first slice here when it first opened as a storefront (the Satellite Pizzeria) in 1961 with just a counter and a few booths. Now I live in California but whenANYWHERE near West Orange I do whatever it takes to enjoy a cheese pie and a hot dog sandwich at the epicenter of North Jersey Italian fare. BEST PIZZA on the planet... bar none!

This was a fantastic dining experience. From the scrumptious appetizers to the delectable deserts, this restaurant is worth giving a try. The service is great, the food is delicious, especially the pizza. Fantastic food, great family atmosphere, and an overall fantastic place to go and I would totally recommend it.

To start off, the restaurant has just reopened after a reno and there are wilted, dead flowers as we walk in. The floral carnage continued at our table where we found more dead flowers. The food was God-awful. My wife and I couldnt even finish our meal. Go anywhere else...youll thank me for it later.

Grew up on their pizza after soccer games. 35 years later still the best pie around. Eggplant, chicken, veal...doesnt matter, the most delicious parmesan ever. Eating there is like visiting your Italian side of the family. They always make sure you are happy and well fed.

Starlite has been a tradition for my family and I for years. It has consistently been one of the best pizzas in the area and beyond. I am a "regular" and always feel like one of the family when i go there. It deserves all the praise it continously recieves.

I have been going there for years. Went for dinner tonight with my wife and daughter who was in town. The service was good, and the food was incredible. Had whole wheat pizza, garlic spicy shrimp and we had a couple of salads. Great experience

Went here the other day with a few people the lunch was very bland and boring. I ordered a salad, no colors just lettuce and dressing. The only thing that hasnt changed is the pizza and bar.

Bar none best super thin crust pizza on the planet. Period. The veal parm has been one of my favorite meals on the planet for most of my life. Love this place! Keep it up guys!
