First off, dont listen to other idiots who posted (Joseph and Saw) saying this place was bad. This is by far and away the BEST restaurant in all of Toms River area. The service is fantastic and courteous. As an example.. 2nd time I was there, the waitress accidentally dropped my bottle of wine in the kitchen. They sent out someone to the liquor store to replace it. As for the selection.. you will have a hard time selecting from the menu as there are at least 30-50 different items. They will also allow you to mix and match dishes at your discretion (ie, if you want seafood instead of chicken with a dish). The portions are enough for two. Ive been there over a dozen times and always take some home. And yes.. the food is very fresh, no warmed over or microwaved dishes here. If there is any downside, it is that they do not take reservations... but I dont really find that to be a big deal. The wait you experience will be worth it.

This place is a tiny hole in the wall. the servers will continually bump into your chair as they try and squeeze past you. I had the Porkchop scarapalle and one of the two porkchops was raw in the middle. The sauce was good but that was the high point of the meal. The waiter Danny was horrible, we asked for a coke and he never brought it yet charged us for it. We disputed it and it was removed. Later he overcharged us for the entire meal on my credit card. Dont use a credit card in this place they will rip you off. He added a larger tip for himself to the bill without authorization.

This restaurant has really gone downhill in recent years. The food is old and dried up, not fresh. The bread is usually so stale you could break a tooth trying to eat it! Staff is good but that doesnt change the poor food quality. The interior is old and stale and the chairs are SO uncomfortable! Its really a shame because this used to be a great little bistro to enjoy a good italian meal. I hope the chef/owner realizes that the food is not good and that is why they are losing customers!

Went to dinner here the other night. We were a party of six. We ordered appetizers from a small foccacia to calamari. All were very good. Dinners were gnocchi, shrimp parm, Seafood Risotto, Branzino..all dinners were EXCELLENT!!! I love their red sauce. The only negative is that one of our dinner Companions ordered meatballs and they were not very good. We didnt have any room for dessert unfortunately. We will definitely be back!!

I wanted to try this place because it was new to the area. Bad choice. The food was not fresh and was tasteless. Poor presentation of dishes. Service was even worse. This restaurant needs to get its act together. Unfriendly staff and inattentive. Unfortunately I will not be returning to this place and would not recommend it to anyone.

Well I will recommend anyone to come here its a great restaurant and no only has good service but the food is Fabulous! Its really good the smell makes your tastes buds druel over the food! Its great for all the family not even for the food but for the price they give you for all the family! See tou guys there!

We have been eating at Hot Tomato for at least ten years. Great food, great portions, good price and great employees. Food is always great and always consistant. Very cozy and quiet not like other restaurants that are always loud. A must try restaurant with great food.

My girlfriend and I have been coming here since our first date just about 6 years ago. The food is the best around and is consistent. I will admit their has been good and bad employees over the years but nothing major. If you never been its worth going.

Their pizza is fantastic, thin crust and delicious sauce. This is our new go to place for pizza! Dinner Entrees are very good and portions are generous.
