Usually only order take out salad from here but went there for a birthday dinner and I will never go back. We had the owners wife as a waitress and she was terrible. She was rude and never checked on us. I was never asked if I wanted a drink and then when I finally got her attention to bring me one I guess theres a limit on how much water your aloud to have due to after that glass I was never asked if I needed a refill. My glass was dirty to boot, but along with that after our pizza and stuff was brought out by someone else we never seen our waitress (aka the owners wife) again. It wasnt that busy in there maybe 3 other tables so it wasnt even like she was overwhelmed, I use to be a waitress and I understand its not an easy job but the customer service is terrible. We had to grab the bus boy just to bring us our check. I will never go back and never recommend this place to anyone.

The food at this place was good, but the service was awful. Waited 45 min for a veal parm and a chicken parm. Also, when we initially entered and asked to sit outside we were given a table. The owner (female, blonde, huge attitude) comes outside to tell us they will not be serving outside anymore (6:30pm). We go inside to sit down and no less than 5 minutes later she seats three more tables outside and serves them. They get their meals before us and get their waitress coming back and forth to service them. My waiter acted as if it was his first day, came to get our order, drop the food off, drop the check off.... thats it. As someone who lives next to this place and was looking for some place new to eat I am not pleased.

Food was (and is always) excellent. Service was bad. No water refills without asking, no attention during the meal at all. One person in our group ordered two slices instead of a meal and her slices came out in 10 minutes. Only problem? The other meal didnt come out for 30 minutes more, so we got to watch her eat and then she later watched us. Will they substitute a vegetable for the pasta side? No, they wont. My daughter wanted two vodka slices. They had one left. Would they make another vodka pie at 7:30 pm on a Friday night to accommodate us, and maybe sell some more of it? No, they would not. Their inattention to customer service while still serving good food is really more weird than anything else. I dont get it.

Went there for dinner for the first time and the last time . That is not Italian and if you are really Italian that the food is trash and tastelesspeople running around like a chickens without heads had to ask for everything even my change of a hundred they only worried about their steady customers not their new ones as I watched I only saw the wife and husband worried about people paying their check you can see they are cheap and portion their food not once did anyone wipe the table outside after people ate on them I dont even think they are Italian I can go on but I wasted enough time on this glorified pizzeria

What a welcome addition to our neighborhood! Delicious food, nice, friendly and welcoming owners and staff, reasonable prices and beautifully renovated. My 7 year old daughter loves the "upside down" slice and I love pretty much everything! Ive tried a variety of their pizzas, pastas, appetizers, salads, rolls and seafood. Delicious! I brought my parents here as well for a family dinner. They loved it too. I waited a couple of months to write this review because I wanted to try a variety of foods and really wanted to be accurate and sure. Well, Im sure! We love this place!

Okay...Hands down the best pizza in town!! I dont know why they have a 3.6 because everything is fresh! You dont know what to choose because everything looks amazing! Sauce is so delicious! I had the meatball slice and there upside down slice, it was so good! I am from NY and have lived here for 6yrs..Ive been everywhere! Nothing tops these guy! The customer service was very friendly as well. I have a local business in town and will def recommend these guys to my customers. Great Job guys continue to do what you do!

ordered delivery from here tonight and was very impressed. the grandmas pie was cooked perfectly, huge, and delicious. The garlic knots were fluffy and not too oily, they even threw in cups of sauce at no extra charge (which I find is getting more and more rare). My only nitpicky complaint is that the Caesar salad seemed hastily prepared but, honestly its salad and it all goes in the same place. Ill be ordering from here again for sure! A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

My family and I were calling to place an order for dinner and they clearly do not care about their customers. We simply asked to have bruschetta added to a salad and they told us it is impossible to fulfill that request, even though they offer bruschetta throughout their menu. The hostess and the owner were rude on the phone, so we hung up so ordered elsewhere. We will no longer be customers at La Madona.

The food is always great,as well as the staff.I have read the reviews some are not so gracious as a former restaurant owner I can see they try very hard to please everyone but sometimes circumstances cause that to not always happen.Give them a second or third chance,this is a family run restaurant and they are really concerned about our happiness !!!

Delicious food and great atmosphere (got to listen to the Beatles while I ate the awesome garlic bread). Had the ranch wrap and it was awesome. Also had the chicken saltimboca which was awesome as well. The waitress was real nice and awesome. The only downside is I gained around 3lbs in a half hour sitting because of all the food they give you

. Thought we found a new place to eat but when we went just the 2 of us to eat we were turned away at the door. Reason, dont seat only 2 people. They will never see us again. This is not NYC, you are a Matawan Pizzeria. We will be sure to let the Real Estate community know how we were treated on our blog. Good by La Madona. Shame on you.

Food was okay. It took over an hour to get our food, which is redicilous for a small town pizzeria. They are in serious need of hiring another chef, especially on a Saturday evening. I understand that it might cost more money, but it ruins the whole experience when you wait an hour and a half to get sub-par food.

We had a wedding rehearsal luncheon at La Madona for about 28 people. The staff were well prepared to handle our group, the food was excellent and the service professional. We are not from the area and were able to coordinate everything over the phone without any issues. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Stopped in last night with a party of 7. The place was pretty full but we were sat immediately. Service was great and food was amazing. Everyone in our party was happy with the quality, portion and flavor of the food. A few of us even took doggy bags home! We will def return!
