Disgusting place. Worst experience ever and Ive lived at the shore for 23yrs. Caters to selfie-taking drunk 20-somethings. Was meeting a friend for dinner and was told 1 hour wait and was directed to outside bar where they made me pay $10 just to go in. Within 5 minutes 3 diff employees put their hands on me saying, "You cant stand there." I was trying to fig out how to get a drink or food until my friend arrived and was surrounded by tons of drunk young ppl. They obviously over-serve. As a grown woman, I was extremely uncomfortable w/ staff touching and even pushing me. When I told the woman who took my $, she had a major attitude and said, "Thats what we do if you dont listen the first time." Incredulous. That was the first time. Very shaken, I asked for my $10 back-which apparently only paid for the privilage of being around drunks and manhandled by employees-and she called the manager. He came and returned my $ w/attitude. When I headed out to leave, she grabbed my arm and said, "That way!" Again, I told the manager it was highly unacceptable for his employees to be treating ppl that way. There was no need to touch me. I was never confrontational, merely confused and calm. He told me, " You dont belong here." Major attitude. I am so disappointed and shaken. My friend and I were hoping to go there and eat well. I am in disbelief of what transpired. I will tell all of my friends to steer clear of this place. Horrible, humiliating experience. If I could rate it neg. stars, I would.

This was our destination for my Moms 91st Birthday lunch. I just assumed that there would be some form of an entrance that would be easy to access, not necessarily regulation " handicap" but never expected a long fight of stairs that have to be climbed to reach restaurant. There was a door on the street level but this was locked and appeared to be for deliveries. Carefully and slowly and with assistance my Mom made it up to the porch. I asked where I could park and the waitress told me you just have to look around neighboring blocks to find a space. The Parker House has no parking lot. Its only one block from the beach so parking this time of year can require some walking. Other than that the food was fresh, delicious and the view of the surrounding neighborhood and the magnificent homes from our table on the porch of this once lived in Victorian home was lovely. The lunch menu is limited, and there was one daily special of a pulled pork sandwich. I probably wouldnt visit again because the menu left me a bit disappointed in choice. Again, this was the lunch menu and I dont know what is offered at dinner.

As a lunch spot, Parker House was great! It is a block away from the beach and since you cant eat food on the beach itself, Parker House was a welcome respite after a couple hours in the sun. Our waitress was very competent and was able to answer all our questions no problem. Calm outdoor tables and good food. Shrimp cocktail was delicious and there is tons of horseradish in the cocktail sauce which is always a plus. We went back at around 7pm for dinner and it was a two hour wait, so we opted to go back to the City. The bar attached to the restaraunt is packed at this time with 20 somethings looking to party. Totally cool but also very loud. Definitely recommend the lunch, quite idyllic and actually good food for a tourist attraction.

Only accept cash, in the whole bar but there are no signs posted saying so- would be nice to know going into this place. Cover always ($10). The only saving grace is the deals on drinks (which they should have after making you pay a cover). Basically this place is like a frat house for kids who are in college or still think they are in college. not my scene to be packed into a house/basement that has no ventilation system with a bunch of drunk young kids.

A few things to mention about this place: The food was overpriced for the mash of crab and 15 fries I received. Drinks tasted like they had half a shot in it. However, if you’re a bro who subscribes to Barstool Sports, wears a SnapBack hat, and loves to rep Vinyard Vines with your other bros, this is the place for you. Pay 10$ cover for absolutely nothing and a swampy basement to relive the glory days. Gave it 2 stars because the hostess was nice.

I felt like i went back on time. It was extremely victorian. The service and food was fine. My husband needed to buy a shirt because he was wearing a tank shirt. He was not allowed in restaurant with a tank. This I felt was puzzling since it is a casual restaurant an right off the beach where u probably wear tanks. Other than that it was a awesome victorian experience. Cant wait to go back.

Food is over priced and under quality. My friends and I have been going the past two years with no complaints however this year we have been twice and were disappointed with the food (breakfast and dinner) service, and cleanliness. It is a real shame because it is a prime location, such a waste of a restaurant, I would have thought they would uphold quality service. Disappointed.

food has declined tremendously and the hostesses are rude and inexperienced. no customer service. if you put your name in and wait at the bar for a drink, they will not come and get you so spend money at the bar at your own risk. none of the bathroom doors in the ladies room close completely. all they care about is there 20 something club crowd after 11 pm.

The Parker House is great. You have the live band downstairs and the electronic music upstairs. The line gets a little crazy at times, but its worth the wait. The drinks specials end at 9 on Fridays, but they still dont get crazy expensive after that. It does feel a college frat party when you walk in, but its still a great place to go, dance, and have fun.

THE place to go for sliders on the shore,,,right after the beach or better yet later on in the evening. Drinks are good and fair priced, the back porch is great. If you are looking for a dining experience, probably not the place to go. If you are looking for fun it is. If you are a nut about service wait a couple of weeks for the kids to learn their job.

The Parker House is a definitely one of the best venues for a summer meal at the beach in Sea Girt but the food is nothing great. The proximity to the beach and outdoor dining on the porch is really nice. Their cocktails are also tasty. I got a burger which looked like it came out of a box. It tasted okay but I dont think it was worth the $12.

Nice place, young crowd. I went with a friend to check out the band playing and the venue. It was a bit of a glorified frat party but it ended up being a fun night. The bartenders were fast and the staff was polite. Would definitely go again if I was in the mood to dance and hear live music :)
