Quality gem in Rockaway Beach. What an interesting set up. Hard to get a table without a reservation on a weekend. Very social bar seating with public sharing tables where you sit with a group or look at your neighbor. Also offers booths and traditional seating in the back of the restaurant. Mexican restaurant with above average tacos creations. The tortilla is not a true California/Mexican made burrito but its very good for New York Standards. Ordered something unusual for a Mexican restaurant, the double cheeseburger with bacon. It was pleasantly and uniquely seasoned and was enough for two. The bacon was thick cut almost like a steak house. Came with fried onions on top. Would come back for that dish. Also ordered the rib eye burrito which was cooked to order. Time consuming but tasty. Again, great place, great scene, and above average food will keep you coming back.

Dont come here looking for authentic Mexican food. 70% of everything me and my friends ordered was over seasoned. It was my 1st time there. Maybe it was a bad night, not sure but the waitress said thats how it comes when I tried to return the rice and onion strings that came with my steak, even the guac and chips. Has potential if they lay off the salt. Wasnt happy that they only have a Kansas city steak on the menu. Was hoping for a nice skirt steak. Pastrami tacos, burgers and their steak had me question if it was a Mexican restaurant. Its more of a American/Mexican fusion type of menu. Would like to see more authentic Mexican food served here.

My boyfriend and I had the chicken enchiladas. The chicken was tender and smokey. The guac and pico that came with it was good. Generous serving of nicely seasoned rice and beans on the side. I also had a margarita, which was also good. Our friend ordered the taco sampler platter and was pleased. Our waiter was really nice and attentive and the bar had the hockey games on. Only complaint was the noise level was really loud, but understandable for a Saturday night. Overall I would highly recommend.

I love this place so much that I frequent it at least once a week. As a matter of fact, I even had them cater my last birthday! Try the specials, but dont skip the Fires Out margarita, or one of the fabulous, ever changing beers on tap. The wine list also rotates, and the wines are procured and curated by the lovely hostess Katherine, who is a certified sommelier. Finally, you MUST have dessert, and you MUST have the bread pudding. The finishing touch!

Loved the food. We ended up ordering a bunch of food including a pair of duck tacos, a grilled rib eye burrito and the pico burger. They were all great. They had the best guacomole Ive ever had. I enjoyed everything, but the burrito would keep me coming back.

Great Restaurant! fantastic bar and food that is authentic and creative. Really recommend asking what they have on tap and getting that with the latest Tacos. The staff is friendly and caring, a cornerstone of the community and a great place for a good time.

My friend and I went for a quick bite and drinks. We sat at the bar and ordered with the bartender. She was very attentive and helpful with us. We ordered Buffalo wings, shrimp tacos, and drinks. Everything tasted very well especially the shrimp tacos.

Best fresh dip ever! If you dont like red onions, only add a little amount or you can soak it in water to take some of the intensity away. I make it just as the recipe says and we love it. Thanks, Ree!
