Reviewing again after an year! After visiting atleast 70 - 80 times in last 2.8 years, Im updating my review. Only pure vegetarian restaurant in Parsippany! (I highly doubt any other place in USA has a veg only restaurant!) New review: Fantastic and authentic Karnataka taste. Mango rice, Vaangibath, Bisi Bele Bath and Veg Pulao are my regular menu. Plus Veg Cutlet. And Curd rice. Customer service: Its a self service. Weve to pick our orders when called upon. Weekend or weekdays evening is peak hours, Ive returned back once without having food after standing in a long queue. They wont smile unless they know you very well, so dont expect them to smile like other restaurants, you will get a tasty food. So enjoy. Restroom: Its always clean. Never made me feel uncomfortable. Old review: Lovely!!! Id Vangi badh & Bisi Bela Badh from here...Taste was very nice & authentic Karnataka food. Very glad :) :) :)

Alright so this place is more like a small eatery. It really isnt a fine dining of any sort. You enter a see a board which says you come to the counter and order food. Then the arrangement of chairs and tables is also pretty ordinary. But those are small things. The menu is also relatively ordinary. The food is very average and its really bland. We ordered a vada, idly and the specialty dosa and it was very average. The styrofoam plates are a spoiler to say the least. The vegetable dosa just consisted of boiled vegetables and the 7 layer dosa had just no spices in it. There are far too many better places than this place. I think if you are typical south indian and know the taste well its best avoided unless you have no other option.

Our dosas that we ordered werent the best and the service when placing the order was completely hostile where 1) we were waiting at the counter for ages to place the order and then a phone order comes in and the lady who was supposed to be at the counter swoops in and takes the phone order leaving us waiting for another 10 minutes 2) we were forced to order either tea or coffee as they couldnt prepare both, so we had to choose one of which they would make. What sort of restaurant service is this ??

The dosa here is amaze balls!!!!!!!! I cannot get enough of the mouth water idli wada combo!!! The hostess always treats us tenderly and pampers us to our fullest needs!!!! She even accommodates nut allergies and special request!!!!! I cannot get enough of this place and amazing service!!!! It feels like Im in India every time I step foot into DOSA EXPRESS

Bad food, bad service, never go to this restaurant again, it will be nicer if cashier smile a bit, rude , never go with family, insulting , small amount of sambhar which is not enough for one Dosa, when asked again he behaving like I asked for kohinoor diamond. Black listed this restaurant from my list , advise to go somewhere else.
