We came here since I like seafood and it is close to where we live. I have eaten here before, and while it never really struck me as great seafood, it was never unpleasant, especially for a chain restaurant in the Midwest. The decor is dark and dated and could use a remodel, especially given the newer restaurants opening nearby. I had forgotten how overpriced the food was. I ordered the Fish and Fries dinner and my wife ordered the Parmesan Crusted Talapia. The menu stated that the Fish and Fries came with a generous portion of fish. This generous portion, included one piece of fish. The fish looked unbreaded, unseasoned, and overcooked. It was tough to chew and dry. I couldnt even eat it. The waitress was apologetic and asked if I wanted to order something else. I declined and asked if they could just fry me another piece of fish. While I was waiting the manager came out and apologized and said a new piece would be out soon. While waiting for my fish to be replaced, I tried some of my wifes talapia. It was only okay. The dish was tasty and I could see that it had the potential to be really good, but the fish and "crust" were a soggy mess. I could only manage a few bites and put it to the side. My second piece of fish finally arrived but was indistinguishable from the first in both looks and taste. I finally just told the waitress it was the worst piece of fish I had ever eaten. She apologized again and had it taken off the bill. The manager came out again and apologized and asked if I wanted anything else. I declined. He finally admitted that the fish was cooked frozen and that they couldnt thaw it out fast enough, which explained quite a bit, but not everything. My wifes meal was approximately $17.50 and mine, before it was removed from the check, was approximately $12.50. That is awful expensive for low cost fish, which was clearly frozen for God knows how long and not thawed properly before being cooked. The manager and waitress were both apologetic, and I appreciate that they offered to fix me something else. However, if you cant get something like "fish" right at a seafood restaurant, how likely are you to get the other seafood dishes right? With drinks, my wifes dinner, and three kids meals, the check still totaled over $60 with tip, which I did not withhold from the server who provided very good service, despite the problems, which from her demeanor appears to be something that the servers deal with regularly. Of course the cheese biscuits were as good as always. The shrimp nachos, which I tried, were also surprisingly good. However, neither of these are sufficient to make me want to go back to this restaurant again.

My sister, brother in law, husband and myself recently (9/18) visited this red lobster and it was just one negative experience after another. First we were told it would be a 20 min wait and we ended up waiting almost an hour as other people who arrived after us were seated. Finally my brother in law said something and we were seated. We were put in the very back of the restaurant and were ignored. I ordered the lobster artichoke dip and they brought out a pizza. Then my husband ordered endless shrimp and it took the waiter so long to fill the second order that we have to leave bc my husband had to go to work. We also had to go find someone else to ring up our ticket bc our waiter was no where to be found. To add insult to injury my husband got the charge to his card today and the waiter added extra money to his tip. Only visit this red lobster if you are looking to be ripped off.

Havent been to Red Lobster in a few years and now I remember why. Took my 2 nephews out for a bite. 1 of my nephews and myself, ordered, the Ultimate Feast (lobster tail, crab legs, scampi x2, mash, and broc). Sub scampi for the fried shrimp. Stephanie was our server. Very nice, polite, and great with the boys. When the food arrived to the table, the legs were flavorless and cold. Told Steph. She said she would notify the mgr. Mgr never came to our table. Walked by, but never stopped. By the time replace legs came out (by the mgr), we were done eating. The legs were much smaller than the originals and they were supposed to bring 2. They forgot to bring the other legs. So, he had to go back to get another cluster. The Ultimate Feast was a joke. For that amount of money spent, to only leave hungry, was ridiculous.

I am not a big seafood fan. I generally go when I am with a group of seafood-loving friends and I am out-voted. In my opinion, I would prefer King Fish or Joes Crab Shack because they both have a larger selection of non-seafood choices for folks like me. I felt the Red Lobster menu was limited. However, seafood-lovers will probably be satisfied. I cranked my rating up a notch because the server was excellent. The decor and atmostphere inside was relaxing. I have noticed that the crowd here is usually that of older, retirees... this may not be the place for a group of 20-somethings to celebrate a birthday.

Told our wait would be 25 minutes (totally fine with that we asked for a booth we had a 2yr old) after we were seated server was very prompt drinks came quickly order was placed quickly thats where it went downhill ... salad bowls smelled like dog water ... everyone around else received food before us as we were seated before most ... when our food finally arrived everything and I do mean everything was cold except the shrimp scampi ... just be warned we wont be back ...
