This restaurant adds 12% gratuity by default and then waiters add 15% by hand on the check on top !! making it almost 27% gratuity.. When asked were told they do not get 12% from restaurant so they add that on their own...what a rip off. Waiters roam around the area always checking their phone which seems probably more important than customer service. Was made to sit in their extended hall which is not maintained properly .. ambeince is not good compared to main sitting area.. bathroom in this area stinks. Dishes from other guest lying outside around bathroom area of extended hall. Food no where close to authentic or homestyle.. Use your own judgement but not going there another time..

Had a very bad experience in the Memorialday Long weekend buffet. Fish fry dish was just horrible as they had Fish heads and very oily fish fry. Never seen this dish served. The Meat pulao was too too spicy and no pieces of meat at all. Had to search for pieces. Its very expensive (19USD) for this dishes. My Kid was not able to eat this spicy food this time. This is not our 1st visit to this Restaurant Been there in March 2017 but never had this horrible experience.Feel its complete waste of money when compared to the price paid. Suggest people to check the items served in the buffet before booking the table as its very crowded in weekends.

I am a frequent visitor of Mirchi at Edison mostly Friday evenings. My suggestions are as follows: 1. Stay away from buffet in the afternoon. Food taste good, you eat more and you will not feel hungry in the night. They have to avoid that secret ingredient thinking that people will eat less. This will affect their business on the long run. Like me there will be several people who will be dropping off for lunch buffet. 2. Chicken Biryani is awesome!!. Again this is at night times. I meant not in the buffets. 3. Appetizers are ok. I tried almost all chicken varieties. Lollipops are not good. Rest of them are ok.

Hands down my favorite restaurant. Makes me feel like Im back in Hyderabad eating dhum BIRIYANI!:) its crowded because people love eating there. I wouldnt want to eat at an empty restaurant which means they dont get customers for some reason. If youre looking for a quiet romantic dinner then you need to do more research before coming. You cant expect every restaurant to suite your personal requirements. If youre a foodie and dont care about the crowd then this restaurant should be on your list to try. Also, food is reasonably priced for the amount of quality food provided

It is a worst experience ever in any restaurant. They suppose to close at 10 pm and we reached at 9, we had 1 hr to have food, but the waiter was so rude and unmannerd. He informed us the timing, finished menu and we have to order in 5 mins only. We said, its ok. Then in just 30 sec he came back and asked the order we asked 5 mins and he was not ready to wait..... it feels like they dont want the business. This is really ridiculous. I dont know how affective will be this review but this is not the way to do business and treat customer.

Overpriced $17.99 buffet. The shrimp curry were tiny baby shrimp. The fish was fried anchovies, which ive never seen. The biryani was dry n no taste. The lines were so unorganized n out of control. Everywhere was madness. The place was to cold. Very impersonal overcrowded. The best food was dosa station. But for 17.99 ill be returning to our favorite n most tasty place Red Chutney on oak tree rd.

Ordered biryani and Coke , Coke came with no gas . It seems they served the Coke from the tin which were used earlier for some other customer. Asked to replace , could see even the new one is at same condition. Biryani could have been better , as its South Indian restaurant thought biryanis will be similar to Hydearabad based ones. Not met expectation. No soup in the menu during dinner

The food is really good. Me and my family enjoyed eating there. But it was really crowded. Even thought we got a table there was a very big line for the buffet. The non veg items were really nice, but there were not a lot to eat. I as a non veg mostly go to mirchi to eat their fish fry. But today when I went to mirchi it was not there. This was very disappointing.

I had a lunch on Saturday. Credit card machine was down, hence I was asked to give card details..this is weird:) I trusted. They charged me twice that too with wrong charges. I called hotel 3 times in last 3 days, manager is not available to call back and no response..This is not the place we should trust. Food was also not good, very expensive for the quality.

Just had the mega buffer. 53 items. Some items were really good.. some were below average, especially for vegetarians. Veg biriyani was average .. loved their dosas and vada. Bonda and pakoda were below average. I loved the eggplant curry and mushroom. Hot and sour soup was extra ordinary .. around 20$ per person. Not a every week go, but once in few months.

EXCELLENT Indian restaurant. Great and smiling service. Their new location has very nice decor. The buffet is awesome. Probably the best variety. The weekedn buffet was super but a bit over-crowded during rush hours. Friendly waiters. Good staff. Excellent taste. Authentic South Indian indeed. Nice addition to the North Brunswick location.

Spicy appetizers. We went there on a Saturday evening for dinner and the wait for the food was insane, even though we arrived early at 7:30 PM. Food was ok, not the best of the lot. Service could have been better. They could also work more on the interiors and create a better ambience for a restaurant. Seating area was little dull.

Mirchi used to be ok some time ago, but now this place really bad, food tastes bad. I have visited this place quite a few times and went back satisfied , but last couple of times was very disappointed, the quality has gone down drastically. The management has to look into this, otherwise they loose customers quickly.

I dont have access to this type of Indian food where I live. So any Indian restaurant in the Edison area would probably taste really good to me. That said, the dishes here are not the typical chicken tikka marsala. Dishes are full of flavor and spice. Chicken Pepper Fry is highly recommended.

I wish I could give zero stars. The food is TERRIBLE and you will pay close to $30 for 2 people. Not WORTH it. Better off eating dosa at Galaxy in edison for $5 a person. The chutneys taste a WEEK OLD, and the food is ridiculously over priced. I wouldnt eat there for FREE if I got the choice!

Omg! Authentic, delicious, great portions, outstanding prices for the amount of food you get and byob...what more can you possibly ask for?!? Perfect amount of flavor and spices, highly recommended! This restaurant takes a typical Indian restaurant completely to another level....
