My wife and I had eaten breakfast a few times at The Windmill and it was usually decent, so we figured we would give them a try for dinner. BIG MISTAKE. The waitress suggested prime rib, so my wife and I both ordered medium-rare prime rib. It came with a meatball minestrone soup, which was salty and contained no meatballs, but was still okay. Then the prime rib came out. My wifes prime rib was grey and dry, definitely cooked well-done, almost past well-done. Mine was a bit better, but not by much. When the waitress came back over, we showed her the steaks and she agreed that they seemed to be overcooked. She took them back and offered to bring us cuts cooked more to the specifications we had ordered. When she took the steaks back I could hear the cook - I can only assume he was also the owner or manager since he wasnt fired on the spot - yelling at the waitress that there was nothing wrong with the steaks. His voice was raised enough so that we could hear him out in the middle of the restaurant. He was shouting at the waitress, saying that we didnt know what medium rare was, that he was running a business, and he wasnt taking the steaks back. After about a half a minute of hearing him argue with the waitress, I went to the counter and offered to just pay for our drinks and soup and leave. Another cook came out and offered to get us prime rib that was actually medium-rare. He apologized for the other cook and said that he sometimes had trouble reading the tickets. I told him that I have eaten a lot of prime rib and the ones they sent out were definitely not medium-rare. He agreed and offered again to bring us out new steaks. When the new steaks came out, they were medium at best, but at least not grey and dry like the first two. If I owned a restaurant, I would have been embarrassed to serve them as a $17 cut of prime rib. Ive probably had worse prime rib at a buffet or cafeteria, but The Windmills prime rib was close to the worst Ive ever had. At this point, my wife and I just wanted to get out of that restaurant as soon as possible. We could still hear the other cook/owner complaining as we ate. The other cook offered us dessert on the house, but we politely declined, paid, and left. In conclusion: bad food and terrible service (except our waitress, who was very nice). If you really need someplace to have breakfast, Id try them if everywhere else was too busy, but definitely steer clear of The Windmill for dinner.

Had a younger waitress who thought my order was ridiculous which was an eggs benedict topped with sausage gravy. She went over to her coworkers and said "yeah a breakfast menu means build your own meals". She brought out an eggs Benedict topped with beef gravy. Not really what I ordered and had no patience left so just tried to swallow it down so I could get out of there. Will never go back and will never recommend someone go too this place.

Delicious meals at affordable prices. They are very popular for breakfast but also have a great selection for lunch and dinner. They host a free Thanksgiving dinner for the less fortunate in the Concord area. It is an event that has been going on for decades now and have provided thousands of meals to the needy during the holiday season. Beyond the food, it is always good to support a business that does its part to better the community.

Breakfast is my favorite meal, and I love coming to the Windmill since I can count on them for a delicious breakfast at any time of day. Great prices, friendly and attentive staff and friendly customers all contribute to a leisurely and enjoyable experience. The only thing we would have liked was the bacon crispier and the English muffins grilled longer. Thanks, and Happy Mothers Day!!

Went for a nice dinner around 7:45 pm Saturday night. Just to have our meal interrupted from 2 workers yelling, swearing at each other. The situation should have been really with in private, not all through the restaraunt!! So bad that another couple came in and the "cook" had to come to their table with menus and take their drink order!!!

I ate at the restaurant the other day and my dinner was delicious!! Not to mention the wait staff was right on top of everything and I got my meal right away. They were very kind and it felt like they were all a big family. The menu has something that everyone will like and you will never leave hungry!

Busy, typical family joint serving typical restaurant supply food. Nothing fancy, nothing surprising, just comfort food for the masses. Our server was efficient and friendly but not overly so. Our breakast was cheap, under $20, lots of parking but two confusing front doors.

Nice Meal! Ate there Saturday - Early lunch. Late breakfast crowd was just thinning out. Food was great! Clams, twice baked potato and a salad. Service was a touch slow. But as I said they were a bit busy. My first visit, and would definitely go again.

Nice place. Pretty busy and real friendly staff. I would give 5 stars, but no maple syrup??? In NH??? I was soooooo disappointed. Like they crushed my dreams of having maple syrup on my pancakes in New England. Life will just never quite be the same...

The staff are fantastic, and the atmosphere is nice. They have all of the breakfast basics which is nice, and the French toast is very good. Overall good, but not knock your socks off good. Still one of the best places for breakfast in Concord.

Food is always good but when i came here for dinner there was NO ONE in the resteraunt and yet it still took 20 mins for a simple omelet and kids burger to be made. Thats seems like a lot of time when no one was here

The food came out fairly quick, it was cold, everything tasted frozen, the fish was definitely NOT fresh, and it was extremely chewy. Also the service was absolutely horrendous. I will not be going back there.

Good homestyle dinner for a fair price. Delicious homemade soup. Friendly & curtious service. We were too full to try desserts. Maybe next time, cause the pies sure looked good. Great unsweet iced tea.

Great food, atmosphere, and memories. Owned and operated by great people. They give back to the community especially every Thanksgiving where they feed those in need. One of Concords local gems.

Nice atmosphere. The place was pretty busy around lunch and after having their food I can understand why. The quality to cost ratio was high and the portions were filling.
