I found this place while going hiking with my friends like 12 years ago. It was a quaint little place that had surprisingly good food. I kept the place in the back of my mind. My wife and I were in the area geo caching and I remembered how good the burger I had back then was: The Jersey Burger - Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a juicy burger. It was so good I remembered it over a decade later! Sadly after going there today it was no longer on the menu but that is where my sadness ends. The guy running the place was very nice and super apologetic that his fryer was down (they had some amazing sounding buffalo-jack mozzarella sticks I tried ordering) . I ordered a southern burger and my wife a panini, both were very juicy and flavorful. The wait is a little long but it appears everything is made to order so the wait is worth it.

I grew up coming here late 90s...years later, at first bite I knew I found "THE SPOT" all over again. Ignore the tedious, insignificant, mindless, hair splitting reviews from the grumpy folk. If your looking for true value for your money, a knee slapping good meal and a classic old town rustic atmosphere, do yourself a favor and try anything they have. By far best burgers and sandwiches around and all made with the best most flavorful ingredients iv come to ever find from any eating establishment. This is your 100% American made historic home town general store. VERY WORTH PATRONIZING

Outstanding soup, deli sandwiches and milkshakes in a quaint folksy repurposed general store. Ate lunch items only but the gourmet specials would seem to be as spectacular as everything we ordered. We were made to feel at home and will definitely return on next business trip.

should be a four as the menu is inspired. they seemed confused though the homemade awesome lemonade was not cold. asked for a side of mayo twice to no avail. the bayou burger would have been perfect with this absent mayo. and the small and not cold was $3.00!!!

Was not impressed with the customer service. Owner got in fight with son in front of customers, and people who were not employees kept going behind counter and into kitchen area. Italian sub had way too little cheese.
