Im very familiar with Il Fornaio in Pasadena, CA, but I had never been to the one in the New York, New York casino. I went with my brother for lunch today, and it was just as wonderful as the one in Pasadena. We were seated promptly, served quickly, and enjoyed a great meal. I had the salmon salad, and my brother had the steak and eggs. The food was fresh (thats what I love best about Il Fornaio), portions were perfect, and the salmon and steak were to die for. Our server, Rosie, was professional, polite, and very warm. She answered our questions about the menu, served us, and then inquired if we were happy with the meal. We had gift cards and they were gladly processed. Even the manager came out to check on us, which I thought was a wonderful touch. Il Fornaio has always been my favorite restaurant brand, and I was not disappointed in any way. Keep up the great work. I hear theres another one opening in Summerlin in Las Vegas. Hooray, horray (I live in Summerlin) :))

Weve been to this restaurant twice in the past year. The first time was good. We were there a few days ago. The service was terrible! We asked for bread three times. It took 20 minutes to get bread! Our orders were also very slow getting to us. One order was great the other, a pasta order was under cooked. It was so undercooked we sent it back. My friend has Italian family. He knows how pasta is supposed to be. When we said it was undercooked they said it was fine. They did reluctantly replace it. The next plate was better but still pasta was undercooked. The sauce was yummy as always but pasta was so hard he left most of it. We told manager but he didnt care. My friend has been going there for years. Loves it! Not only was the food substandard, the service was bad, the manager didnt care and we were charged for bad food. I would not recommend going here. Its too hit or miss and there are many other reliable good places to eat at in Vegas.

I was so disappointed in the quality of the food here. I really wanted to like this place. My son had the linguine marinara which was bland. He said it reminded him of his spaghetti lunch at school. My other sons roasted rosemary potatoes which accompanied his chicken parmesan were lukewarm at best. He did say the chicken was tasty. We ordered calamari which never arrived. Our mixed green salad was exactly that...mixed greens. I think I was lucky to see two types of green lettuce varieties if that much. My penne pasta with vodka sauce was mediocre. The pasta was gummy. Thankfully, the sauce was that dishs saving grace. For dessert, I had a water-logged tiramisu. You can tell it was defrosted. The bottom layers tasted as if they were soaked in water...not espresso. Honestly, save your money and eat across the way at the pizza shop. Ive had better Italian food at Olive Garden for a third of the price of what they charge here.

As Italian places go, the menu was average but several daily specials looked better. We were guests of the hotel and just wanted a good meal without going to another hotel. The service was excellent, our waitress was on top of our every need. We were there at 1030 on a Wednesday night, so grateful for the attention. I ordered off the special menu, a NY Strip steak. It was cooked perfectly (Med Rare) but was a little tough, not the best cut for the price (~$35). My wife enjoyed her pasta, and the steaks flavors were there just a bit hard to chew. Guess I should have gone next door to Gallaghers if wanted a great steak! We rarely eat at the same place twice, have eaten at Mix, Circo, and a few other lesser places, but I would eat here again, decent prices and good food.

This restaurant is located inside the New York New York Hotel in La Vegas. We stayed here and decided to try it for breakfast on a Friday morning - wasnt too busy and we were easily seated. The breakfast was good, the servers were really nice as well. I ordered the crepe - I was hoping it would be fruit filled, but it was just a simple custard. The rest of my table got the omelette, waffles topped with fruit and an omelette. They give you a basket of toast as well, it wasnt too warm and the butter was stiff so difficult to spread it. But nonetheless, had good presentation of food and I would definitely go again.

We ate there twice. The first time was great, both food and service. We had a Margherita pizza and its probably the best pizza Ive had in a long time (and I eat a lot of pizza!). The waiter was friendly and atmosphere was nice. The second time the service was not as good. The food was still tasty (had another pizza), but they just kind of threw it on the table and walked off (no plates, no stand, no "anything else?"). Also, the pizza was cold, which is surprising given how fast it came out - dont know how it had time to cool off, but they managed somehow.

This is where I eat breakfast at least once on every stay at New York New York. They frequently have an BOGO offer if you are staying at the hotel. Dont tell them, but we would eat there anyways, even with the deal. For me, its the toast. I cant get enough of it. Really, everything on the breakfast menu is good and the service is top notch. We usually sit at the bar. Dinner is good too. My husband and I came here to celebrate our birthdays and the waiter brought a nice dessert for us with two candles.

Dined on 12/19/16. Our party of 4 was seated promptly and drink service was prompt but all other tables received bread and we had to ask for ours. Overall the food was average (1 Step above Olive Garden at best, but about 3 times the price). Portions were VERY small and I actually left still hungry. Service was friendly but seemed very rushed. Anyone that would give this place a good review must not get out too often. Verdict... Totally unimpressed and wont be back.

Ate at the bakery side for breakfast. I have had better. The egg, bacon and cheese croissant was not freshly made but warmed in the microwave (I watched). Big disappointment. I also had a hot Chai tea and it tasted awful. The individual making the tea did not know how to make it and started to make coffee but was stopped by another member. Trust me it still tasted like a mixed cup of something not tea. Overall, I would not go back and would try another breakfast place.

It was easy to make a reservation. Although they sat the table for 9 not 12. Which was rectified before we sat down. Host was a bulky handsome gentleman which was perfect for entertaining the bride to be, while we waited for bread. Bread was cheeewwy. The cheese and vegetarian Pizza, meatball skewers, and spinach ravioli were delicious. Servers were swift as we requested in and out service for a showtime, start deadline, we were headed too. We left full
