I was initially skeptical, because I really dont like the texture of tomatoes. That being said, let me explain our experience! We came as a party of two at about 6:00 on a Friday night. The restaurant wasnt too busy, but they had live music. Our waiter was incredibly friendly; I initially couldnt decide on anything from the dinner menu, so he brought me the lunch menu and offered that the chefs could prepare me something from the lunch menu if I wanted. In the end, I ordered the lasagne with a salad. My friend ordered an entree that came with goat cheese (I unfortunately dont remember the name). She doesnt like goat cheese, so she requested feta instead, and they were happy to comply. The lasagne and salad were both flavorful and delicious! They were much more flavorful than I expected, and I appreciated the lack of tomato texture that I dislike so much. All in all, it was a very nice experience.

Came in on a saturday around 7:00 pm. Was quite busy but we were seated right away without a reservation. The atmosphere is more of an upscale. Noise level is medium. We ordered the spinach and artichoke appetizer. I ordered the lasagna. The appetizer was full of flavor but a little too salty for my taste. Quite a bit of dip for the amount of bread given. It worked great for the two of us and would probably be enough for four if extra bread was added. The lasagna was fantastic! It was covered with a rich zesty sauce, noodles were perfect. Im impressed with how flavorful the the food is, definitely not bland. For dessert we ordered bread pudding. It was ok but had too many walnuts for my taste. Service was friendly and refills were timely. As time went on and it became busier the service was somewhat slower. All in all I would definitely come again good food and a nice atmosphere!

We enjoyed our meal at Caffé Molise immensely. We were in town for a show at the Eccles Theater and we were looking for a nice, unique place to have dinner. Caffé Molise was a perfect choice. We sat out on the patio and enjoyed the summer evening while listening to a jazz trio that was playing. Our server, Dillion, was attentive without being pushy. We were able to relax & enjoy our meal. The food was excellent. Well prepared, well seasoned & the price was reasonable. We had a smooth, sweet Moscato to drink. We had the Bruschetta appetizer which is almost a meal by itself. My husband had the Penné do Caprino & I had the Polpetta do Melanzane (eggplant "meatballs"). We barely managed to squeeze in dessert but I had read several reviews that said the Tiramisu was not to be missed & they were right. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Caffé Molise for a date night or special occasion!

I TRULY WANTED THIS TO BE A GOOD EXPERIENCE. DUE TO THE LOCAL CONVENTIONS GOING ON, THE PLACE WAS PACKED...SINCE WE HAD RESERVATIONS I WISH THEY HAD INFORMED US OF THE EXPECTED CROWD AND WE WOULD HAVE OPTED FOR ANOTHER NIGHT. WE WERE WAITED ON PROPERLY WITH NOT MUCH WAITING BUT THE FOOD WAS AVERAGE AT BEST. NOTHING WAS EXCEPTIONAL, THE SALAD WAS BORING...I HAVE HAD BETTER FROM THE THE GROCERY ISLE. I AM A LASAGNA LOVER...GIVE ME THE CHEESE! THE NOODLES WERE UNDER COOKED AND WERE LIKE CHEWY RUBBER AND I AM HARD PRESSED TO EVEN SAY THAT THERE WAS ANY CHEESE AT ALL. I ALSO LOVE BREAD PUDDING AND THINKING IT MIGHT BE THE EXPERIENCE THAT I HOPED FOR...I AM REGRETTING THAT WE EVEN ORDERED IT. I RARELY DO REVIEWS BUT I EXPECTED MORE FROM A RESTAURANT THAT CHARGES AS MUCH AS THEY DO. SORRY GUYS...I AM GLAD FOR YOUR SUCCESS BUT I DIDNT GET EXCITED OVER YOUR FOOD.

My girlfriend and I went here with a foodie group and had a private dining room. The place is very warm and inviting, couples were visiting and sipping a glass of wine. The volume of the room was just above a whisper, so we could easily visit with each other without having to strain to hear each other, talk loudly or have to repeat ourselves. Everything was clean and well presented, the serving staff were well dressed, well mannered, and very attentive to the needs of our group. The wait time on the food wasnt bad for a busy night and the appetizers were out to us pretty quickly. We had a special that was a steak with raspberry sauce over au gratin potatoes with some veggies. It was really good, I usually get what ever is on special, though usually at an Italian place I see Italian specials not french ones.

Wow, what a disappointment. This was reviewed by Epicuriosity (wtf?) as one of the top Italian in slc. Not even close. The food was decent, however I could have accomplished this at home. It felt dated, stale and so 80s contemporary. The true rub, maybe even a chaffe, was the speed freak waiter who was so high on some kind of substance we could not even disseminate what he was saying. Not to mention the volume of his voice which possibly could have been heard if you happened to be in the WC during his tirade. This is a wonderful space and it may do well in spite of itself in the summer with a beautiful outdoor space, but this place needs a time machine trip to the new millennium.

I have eaten at Caffe Molise several times, the location is convenient for those who are in downtown Salt Lake. The Antipasti Del Giorno appetizer was great, we shared it between 6 ladies during lunch. I am in love with their Gnocchi di Patate with grilled chicken. The pine nuts on the gnocchi is genius and the sauce is creamy and flavorful. My favorite! For dessert, we ordered one of everything :) I was most impressed with the Chocolate Hazelnut Mouse Cake and the Gelato and Sorbetto. The one that I had high expectations for and was disappointing with was the Creme Brulee. However, the outdoor seating is simply beautiful in the evening. A perfect place for a romantic dinner.

Wow! Excellent from beginning to end. If possible make reservations unless you arrive during a slow business hour. We started with the Polenta Con Funghi. Wonderfully delightful dish. The goat chese was my favorite part. We moved from that to Polpette Di Melanzane. The zucchini meatballs were "on steroid" fabulous! I dont know how they can make a squash so palatable; its more than magical. Dessert was sinfully rich, sensuous, and daring; chocolate hazelnut mousse cake. Yikes-o-licious! Wait dtaff very competent, attentive, and professional. Restroom was very clean, floors were spotless. This is a true Salt Lake jewel.

Ate here recently and had a good experience, although there were some shortcomings. We ordered the Orecchiette and Bistecca entrees. The Orecchiette was excellant but the Bistecca was a poor quality piece of meat that was tough and stringy, definitely unexpected, considering the $28 price tag for this entree alone. One of the side dishes was also cold. When I complained to the waitress, a deduction was made on the bill which was nice but I would have preferred to have the chef or manager come out and say something. Other than that, the service was good and the atmosphere was enjoyable.

We went there for lunch prior to the Nutcracker Ballet and the food was definitely AMAZING, more than we anticipated. They really make you feel welcome in their establishment. My teenager daughter really enjoyed it too. This was our first time at Caffe Molise and we will definitely be going back to enjoy more of what this restaurant has to offer. Good lunch spot thats close to the Capitol Theater. My creme Brulee is excellent but this is the only place that make a better creme brulee than mine! I still remember how delicious was the lemoney crust of my brulee! HIGH FIVE!!! Local Gem!!
