This is a very nice place downtown. Then menu is great, it has some stand out items on the menu but I have one problem with the pizza: the crust. MacKensie gets its crust from another place in town and decided over a year ago to remove deep dish. I have eaten there very little since then because while the deep dish was really good, the regular crust is poor. I would rather have Dominoes crust. Mackenzies crust is dense and tastes of flour. It has none of the complexity of a crust you would expect from such a nice (and expensive) restaurant. I think they should bring back the deep dish crust. Deep dish was not sold well by the staff or highlighted on the menu even though it was by far superior. When I ordered a pizza I was not asked "deep dish or thin" and often when I ordered it I got regular crust by default. Otherwise this is a nice restaurant with good food but lacks what is important: good pizza.

Since I can remember, I have never liked pizza. Not just ambivalent, but I thought it tasted bad. Well, Mackenzie River Pizza is the only pizza I like, and I really like it! The sequoia pizza is tops. They have white sauces, and best of all, they dont over-cook the cheese. Yes, over cooking cheese is as bad as over cooking steak in my opinion. It gets all rubbery and oily and the flavor is ruined. The Caribbean-jerk wings are fantastic. Im salivating just thinking about them. You cant get a better lunch time atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and attentive, but not botheringly so. If you are from out of town, you have to stop by. Its a slice of Bozeman, started by a local who specializes in innovative pizza design.

Pizza is outstanding. The crust is probably the best in town. Most of their pizza are unique. The service and restaurant is where they loss 3 stars. If you order a carry out pizza show up at least 15 mins after they say it will be ready and still be prepared to wait. One time I went and they would not seat my party of 4 with half the tables empty because "there are not enough waiters". In the summer the restaurant is way to hot, more so than any other pizza place I have been to. The draft beers were hot, not warm, by the time we finished them. The service is very slow too, takes way too long to get drinks when you sit down and need about 3 refills by the time your pizza gets to the table.

This is a famed place in Bozeman! The people who work there are helpful and fun and the food you can get there is GREAT! They do not serve only pizza, my favorite thing to get there is a salad. They also have good pasta. This is a great place for the family, make shure to bring the kids!!! There is coloring and childrens art work to look at in the back. A little different, this place is where to go if you are search of a good Pizza. Also, though not on the map, across the street at the end of the block is Tarentinos (not shure how to spell that) and they have good pizza for cheep! also they go by the slice. Basicly, if its a meal, go to Mackenzie, for a snack go to Tarentinos!

We had a decent experience at this restaurant. We went with another couple and it was all of our first times here. The pizza was good and they had some interesting choices plus a couple of classics. I had the clubhouse which was quite good. My husband and my brother shared one with multiple meats as well as the Thai pizza. My brothers fiance tried an alfredo pasta selection, but it was pretty unexciting. We were there towards the end of the night and our service was still quite good, despite the waiter likely wanting us to get out.The beer selection was pretty unexciting, but had some good classics on it. Overall, this was a good place for interesting pizza!

I love their Flathead pizza (thin crust)! Its the perfect combo of grilled chicken, veggies and white sauce. Every time my husband and I crave for pizza, this is top of mind for us. We usually do take out or have delivery service so I cant say much about the service but I like the vibe of the place - its just right for a pizza joint. My hubby also loves their buffalo chicken wings - its a dry rub version with just enough spice and its not too greasy. Im not a big pizza fan but I always go back to their Flathead pizza!

Love their pizza but not at all impressed by service at this location. They cramed us in to a table for two next to an already over- crowed table of 8. Requested change to a booth that was open nstead...no one waiting. But we were told too many people were already seated in that station and the waitress needed to "catch up" before seating anyone there. We said we werent in any hurry but they still denied us a chance in seating...they said "its our policy"....that really spins me up!!

My husband and I are professional pizza eaters (Not really we just love pizza) I have a very unique diet where I cannot have dairy or eggs and this place was extremely accommodating. My husband and I recently moved to Bozeman and have tried just about every pizza place, this was one of the last ones on our list and it out pizzad all the other places!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Also, our server merita was so friendly and made the experience very fun! Thanks!!

For the past year I have been going here every week. After last night and this morning I will never go back. Took 20 minutes to get a server and then an hour wait just to be served cold and overdone pizza. I was then charged twice on my card, and told very unkindly that there was nothing they could do about it and the next time to just call instead of come in. If you want bad service, a long wait and cold pizza this is the place to go.

My husband & I ate here after landing in Bozeman a few weeks ago. The service was great, the decor was intriguing, & the prices were relatively reasonable. The pizza was good but a little disappointing to be honest. The nachos we got were ok, but the cheese was just melted cheddar which was a little different than what we expected. Overall, I would probably go there again but it just didnt quite live up to my expectations.

My family and I came to Mackenzie river for dinner. We had a large party of 12 and our server was a bit ruffled but did well. The food was absolutely fantastic. We ordered almost one of every pizza and each one was delicious and cooked to perfection. The AC was out at that time so it was quite warm inside. Other than that, great place to eat. Love the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend Mackenzie River Pizza and come back!

This by far the best pizza place in town. We come to Bozeman for a yearly ski trip and also make a stop at Mac Kenzie River Pizza Company. I have tried other local pizza joints as well and this one tops the list with its delicious fresh topping, tasty pizzas, and fun atmosphere. Also check out Montana Ale Work for great food and beer. Stay clear of Tarantinos, over priced and flavorless pizza.
