We dropped by Zookz during a recent visit to Phoenix, and it will become a staple from now on. The sandwiches are absolutely to die for. Crisp and very hot, and filled with all sorts of delicious, fresh ingredients! The sandwich I had is the most popular one on the menu, and I can sure see why... thing is, now I want to try them all. Both of us had the kale salad which was delicious as well. We met Carol, had a chat with her about how her shop came to be, as I had gone to the same international school as she had in Libya, but I had never met her. Because of our shared experience, she sent a delicious Nutella and peanut butter sweet sandwich over for my husband and I to share, and I have to tell you, I will dream about that until our next visit. Worth EVERY calorie. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean and bright and I cant wait to go back!

Absolutely amazing! Unique, delicious, and they have vegetarian options. I was rushing to order and misread the #25 which had black beans, ham, avocado, cheese, and tomato. I totally skipped the ham part, the owner saw me picking my sandwich apart and walked over to my table and asked if everything was alright. I said yes, and she again asked and I mentioned that I misread. She offered me two vegetarian options for no charge which was above and beyond on customer service. I picked the "Caprese Style". Its amazing! Out of guilt I ordered a drink to show them I wouldve been more than happy to pay for it. The green tea is refreshing and the drink cups are huge. Mashed potato salad is delicious! Will be going back and recommending to everyone! Had an amazing first time experience. Thanks so much for a great lunch.

First time was on 05/10/17, I must say... the food is amazing. Ayanna and Carol, just love them.. how could you NOT. Staff is always SUPER FRIENDLY.Prices are very reasonable and if you want something changed. THEY HAVE the "no problem" approach, they got it covered. The music is a classic range of Bryan Adams, Whitney Houston to all sorts. Its super clean inside and " WELL "organized. Those two ladys are awesome sauce. The menu....whats great about it, they dont have way too many option . Its simple and " non complicated". TO THE READER.....IF YOU DONT VISIT THIS AMAZING DELIGHT......YOUR SERIOUSLY DISTRUBED...LOL JK. Not really, lmao. PS..Be sure to ask Carol about the story behind the idea....very cute story ..

Just came here for the 2nd time and loved it so much that I have been compelled to look them up on Google just to leave this review. The sandwiches are so simple and yet Ive never tasted anything like them! They are so so good you will really be doing yourself and your tongue a disservice if you do not eat here! My recommendation: Try the #66 which is the best breakfast sandwich youll ever have and try one of their kale salads! I know, kale, but seriously it has fruit and nuts in it and it so sweet and delicious youd be crazy to not try it! I will definitely be back again and again! Oh, and to whoever put the music on this morning, you rock! Golden Oldies all the way! Most relaxing morning Ive had in a long time!

Today a few members from our office came down here to grab a little bit of lunch (a few of our other employees come in and eat here all the time). Granted we were asking a ton of questions (some of us are on a strict diet and were trying to be healthy about it all), the staff was really patient with us and answered all of our questions. When we got our orders, we couldnt have been happier with how they looked and tasted. I personally had a spinach salad with hard-boiled eggs (chopped), bacon, mandarin oranges, and nuts. Soooooo delicious!! Its a great atmosphere and makes you want to come back. Thank you Zookz! Well be back for sure!!

I absolutely LOVE Zookz! Their unique and flavorful sandwiches offer a near endless variety of the freshest ingredients all baked into a warm,crispy and delicious bread. They also have wonderful salad options to choose from. The restaurant is lovely and perfect for both dining in and grabbing on the go. The staff is extremely friendly and you can visibly see everyone takes pride in working in this great place! I will be back again and again, thank you!!

A sandwich is a sandwich is a sandwich...until now. These sandwiches are an escape from the old. They are round and toasted with all the deliciousness sealed inside. My favorites: #35 ham, cheddar, black beans, avocado, tomato and chipotle and the #55 peanut butter, nutella, bananas and toasted almonds...my boyfriend and I usually split this for dessert. This is not your grandmothers sandwich shop and must be experienced to really appreciate.

Zooks is a great and friendly salad and sandwich shop in this new and upcoming area. The side salads are pretty decent and a great side to a tastey breakfast sandwich. Kale and potato salads were fresh and delicious. The sandwiches are stuffed with your choice of options and basically sealed shut around the ends, much like a grilled cheese sandwich with sealed edges. Ill definitely return and happy to come here if Im in the area.

Found this restaurant accidentally ! However our experience at Zookz ended up being one of the highlights of our family trip to Phoenix. The owner welcomed us into her restaurant and invited us to a seat at her table . The customer service was absolutely refreshing ! Great food, great story ! Zooks is a favorite. My wife and I are repeat customers. Pleasant atmosphere, convenient location, friendly staff, and great food all at a reasonable price. Signature sandwiches made to order, can be enjoyed breakfast style (with poached eggs) or as a quick, delicious lunch. New on the menu are mimosas, screwdrivers and botanical beverages. Highly recommended!

Took my daughters here for a quick, light meal. I was unfamiliar with the business, and didnt know all their sandwiches were pressed. I had a turkey sandwich, with bacon, and feta. It was AMAZING! My daughters had turkey, and roast beef sandwiches, which were equally delicious. I met the owner, who was very pleasant, and gracious. I will likely return.

Incredible sandwich and service. Best sandwiches we have had in phoenix hands-down. We had the sliced turkey and avocado with the homeade mustard sauce. The black bean and corn salad is also great. Peaceful and fun atmosphere. The owner came over to personally thank everyone for coming in. Your making a mistake if you dont go to Zookz.

Great experience! Food was delicious, nice spin on the traditional sandwich. They make their horseradish from scratch and its delicious. Excellent customer service as well, two different people came to check on me and see how I was doing too which was appreciated. The bathroom was really clean too, which is always a good sign.
