Excellent food, service, specialty drinks at the bar, and reasonable prices. A new favorite place of ours for Kansas City. Will definitely order the chicken and vegetable pot pie with a perfect flaky crust again. A couple sitting next to us convinced us to order the mussels on our next trip. They really enjoyed them. We will be sure to get evening reservations next time, although sitting at the bar was fine for this time. Dont rely on having a table available since its a very small cozy place and then there are only about 8 stools at the bar. Call for reservations. Love, love, this place!!!

A restaurant devoted to pot pies?...am I in heaven? Having grown up on a steady diet of those mini 30 minute bake pot pies in my youth...I had forgotten about their savory goodness for years until I stumbled upon this tiny mecca of pies. Yeah its small and can be cramped (and cold in the dead of winter..request a table at the back).. But damn, after that first bite of hot pot pie, all your worries will fade away. Be sure to make a reservation early as it fills up fast.. And be sure to let that pot pie cool before digging...And enjoy!

Beef pot pie was delicious. Light flaky crust - good for my waistline but I would prefer a slightly heavier pie crust. Roasted chicken also delicious. Very good wine list and service was great. Reservations are required if you want a table. Didnt know this but we were able to eat at the small bar. Had quite a long wait to order and then a longer wait for our dinner, but the quality of the food made up for it. They would greatly benefit from a larger space.

Awesome! What a great atmosphere and the staff was really friendly. Great spot with amazing eats. We had the (yeah, you guessed it) Chicken Pot Pie which was AMAZING. Best Ive ever had - the chicken was absolutely amazing and the seasonings were exactly right (no need to add any salt or anything). There was some live music going on as well which just made it feel really cozy. As a huge fan of Pot Pies, Ill be dreaming of that one for years to come!

We were excited to try this highly rated restaurant that is recommended by Food Network. But it left us underwhelmed and was lacking for flavor. I kept looking for salt and pepper on the table to help my roasted chicken have some seasoning. All four of us had the same issue of under seasoned food, even the pot pie. We spent $100 and left feeling like we were robbed. Perhaps it was just an off night.

The beef & mushroom pot pie was outstanding. The crust on top was as flaky as the best croissants, and the filling was rich and flavorful, with beef so tender it practically fell apart when you touched it. My wifes chicken & vegetable pot pie was quite good as well, but the filling lacked the major "wow" factor that the beef had.

Rebecca and I had dinner at Pot Pie in Kansas City. Wow...we both had the chicken pot pie. Amazing, awesome and wonderful are woefully inadequate words to describe the food. Oh yeah, the nectarines cobbler was the bomb. The staff was incredible...constantly at our table to make sure everything was to our liking.

I had the grilled cheese and it was amazing! My wife had the chicken pot pie and the crust was perfectly flaky. Everything was made fresh after we ordered it. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable. It is a smaller restaurant but it didnt feel like we were crammed for space. I highly recommend it.

Nice comfortable atmosphere and good service. I had the chicken pot pie and it was "OK". No seasoning, a lot of chicken but only a few pieces of veges and the crust was a bit too thin for my liking (almost paper thin). I wouldnt order the pot pie again but I would try another menu item.

Met the owner and discussed the different libations he can create! I had to get my order to go, but once I got to my final destination and opened the package... pure enjoyment. I had the chicken Pot Pie and the crust was perfect. Definitely worth the trip, the meal, and the drinks!

Hidden gem of KC! This place quietly delivers one of the best dinner experiences available in KC. It is a perfect mix of comfort food, comfortable setting and fantastic ambience. Recommended especially during the winter months this is a perfect date spot to enjoy a cozy warm meal.

EXTREMELY overpriced for a potpie that wasnt even as good as a Marie Calendars. Paid $8 for an appetizer that lasted 4 bites. Cocktail was also $8 and had very little alcohol. Wait was about an hour, which would have been fine if the food was worth it. Seating is elbow to elbow.

We walk in and 80+% of the restaurant is empty. Its 5:40. "Do you have any reservations? Oh, we cant seat you until 9." You have 15+ open tables waiting for people that wont be there for another 20 minutes to an hour. what was the point Pot Pie? You should not be so rude!!!

Nice place but ordered the chicken pot pie which I read was outstanding. The pot pie was the most bland food I have ever ate. Marie Calendar frozen pot pies are better than this. Also, way overpriced for what you get. I will not recommend this place to my friends.

1st date with my wife was here. Ive known the owner/chef for about 25 years, and John really hit a home run with this place. Impossible to find bad food or service here, the prices are very fair, and its a great place to take a date.

The food was exactly what I had in mind. I really enjoyed it. The waitress was very nice, cute, and attentive. It isnt proper, more like a old town type of place, which fits for its location. Highly recommended.

I went here with my fiance and I had the steak and she ordered the chicken pot pie. Both were delicious. Both service and food were good and we plan on making another visit in the future.

Originally I saw the restaurant on Dinners & Dives. It took me two years to make the time while in KC MO. Well worth the wait and planning. Excellent service, great food. I will return.

The food is great. I had the pan roasted chicken which was juicy and delicious. The spinach and brie tart was so enjoyable. The chicken pot pie is the best pot pie you can ever have.

Very unique idea for a restaurant! The food was delicious and it was VERY hard to choose which dish to order from the small, but quality menu items. Cant wait to go back!

Delicious! I dont actually get pot pies here, but rather the roasted chicken, which is incredible. Fairly small, worth getting a reservation on weekends.
