Ive never had a worse dining experience in all my life. I would NEVER treat my customers the way that my party was treated at this restaurant. I come from an extensive restaurant (waitstaff and managing) background and have never seen or experienced such a lack of professionalism. A plate from our table was sent back to the kitchen and we were assured the correct order would be out once ready. No biggie. There was no issue until the angry owner approached our table in an offensive manner. There is no exaggeration here. We werent airing a complaint, we simply received the wrong meal. One member of our party simply returned the incorrect order to the kitchen because it was not what he ordered. We have no idea why the owner approached our table so angrily. Ive never experienced such a response in such a simple situation. The issue was no longer the incorrect order, but the completely unprofessional manner in which things were handled. This owner/cook or whatever he was (he seemed to wear all hats) was very rude and ruined our partys dinner. I had eaten two bites of my meal before leaving. I will never return. They are the reason that consumers are afraid to ask for what they ordered or to simply send something back to the kitchen. Completely appalling. I hate to give them even one star, but have to to post.

Very disappointed. Before they added on it Was a great place to go. My birthday choice since I havent been there since the remodel. I am so sorry I asked my family to take me there. Large closed in room with 4 long tables no windows. Blown lights over the table. The waitress (who gave herself a 20%gratuity) was rude snippy and for sure not taking care of the table. We had 7 adults and 5 children. Seated at 5:10 Left at 7:30. Some of the food was cold. 2 of us ordered the country fried steak that was suppose to be tender breaded rib eye was the same ground up breaded stuff a box in the frozen section of the super market. And to slap it to me a little more was the size of a fried egg. And it costs $15.49!!! 1 ordered a Caesar salad for his meal and was brought the same size salad you get with your dinner. Heck could have saved over $7.00 giving him mine that came with my tiny meal. So sad that a great place it Was when it was small is now horrible. Would love my family to get their hard earned money back.

The food and service has always been outstanding at the Green Olive. I go there frequently with clients, friends from church and dates with my hubby. Today, however, I say, "good bye Green Olive". The owner was extremely rude and then completely un-apologetic after a misunderstanding with my order. I know that restaraunt staff has to deal with "jerky" customers at times but I promise, I am a happy, appreciative and kind patron. I seriously wish that he had offered a sincere apology for the misunderstanding instead of a bad attitude. In an attempt to make $2 he lost two customers and tainted his reputation. Bad business practices...Especially while attempting to renovate and expand the business. It is a sad day indeed. I will sincerely miss their chicken parm!

I went on mothers day and it was clear they were not ready for the rush. It took 45 minutes to be seated (after 2 staff members gave us different wait times of 15 and 30 minutes when we first got there) and over an hour for our food to come out. If our waitress hadnt been so nice and obviously cared about her customers, we probably would have left. I know people who go there very often and never have problems, and the food was good, so I would go back and give them a fair shot.

if you have nothing else to do hang out here.. im here right now and its been one hour and 12 minutes, 2 glasses of soda and still waiting for my burger.. this place gone down hill alot last 2 yrs or so.. update food is here! and its wrong..cheese all over which i ordered without..time to go off.. well i got 2 free sodas for my past hour and 20mins.. Ashame this place looks nice but another dump in town..wate ur time if u want as I did..or go to McDonalds

Overall I had a horrible experience here. One time I ordered a plate with Alfredo pasta and shrimp. Instead they gave me a plate of pasta with tomato sauce. I simply returned it and asked for what I really wanted and they made me pay for everything at the end. Even the plate that I hadnt ordered or eaten. I will never come back to this place ever again. Theres flies allover the place and it smells like piss because of the dirty bar inside the restaurant.

Service was awful. My wifes order was totally wrong, and she got her food cold 25 minutes after mine. She complained and she got he food back scolding hot. Complained to manager and he told us oh well. We will never go back, and would not recommend to anyone. Some way to run a business. Complained on their fb page only to have it deleted and no appology or promise to fix it.

I dont think they where happy that we showed up unannounced on the day that I got married.. They didnt think they would be able to give us great service. I have to say my wife and I where very pleased with the service and the food! We where seated uncomfortably together! We were very happy with them we stayed smiling on our wedding so you all shouls be proud!!!

Food was great. Place looked clean and spacious. Breakfast menu was great. Weeks later, tried the bar. Lots on the menu to choose from. Staff friendly and patiently waiting as we decided. Food came out a little fast with apologizes. Chose the special which was delicious and large enough for leftovers.

The food was about average as well as the wait staff, they could use a lesson in how to clean dishes and silverware properly because we had to send for new spoons. The atmosphere since they remodeled is more of a bar/diner than a restaurant and Im not sure if I would call it a restaurant anymore.

Food is pretty hit or miss at times but for the most part you should expect a solid meal and drink selection when going. Even with its spotty food quality its convenience of being so close to home, and its nice atmosphere make it a staple of Hopewell and Bridgeton alike.

I am in love with this restaurant. Nice spot to go with ur partner or coworkers. Food is always great. Very authentic. I was looking for a good italian restaurant down this way... this is it!!! Decent price. Friendly staff. Beautiful building

Gross. My husband delivered food there went into the kitchen and told me all about how dirty the kitchen is. He said there were flies in the food the chefs were sitting there swatting flies. Utterly disgusting. Definitely loss my business

Nice place where you can dress up a little or go casual. I wasnt over the moon either my pannini, but that was probably just me, we had a large party and everyone seemed happy. Excellent service, especially because there were 11 of us.

Great place! Huge selection if items from a simple salad, sandwiches to steak. Breakfast menu has great items including crepes. Cant wait to go back again. Friendly staff and decor with fireplace and a fountain are really nice
