Upon entering the cafe I knew that I would love it. My boyfriend, friend and I had been given the idea from a hotel hostess at the Best Western just down the street when we asked for a good place to get a good breakfast. The style and home decor immediately gave me the small-town cafe feeling (which I greatly appreciate because I am from a small northern Minnesota town). Norman Rockwell has been one of my favorite artists since I was young and I was pleased to see the business utilize this artwork throughout their cafe. I ordered the Keys Original omelette because it sounded amazing and it was. Every bite was better than the previous and it was so large that I had to take it home and eat the second half later that night. It had broccoli and cauliflower, which I had never had in an omelette, and that made it even more interesting. I also got a cinnamon roll to-go and ate that in the evening at home as well. It was equally incredible and large! Overall, the experience was great. I cant wait to get back to White Bear Lake and visit Keys Cafe & Bakery again.

We went to the downtown White Bear Lake location. I had moved back to the Twin Cities a year ago, after living in Kansas City for nine years. I took my step daughter to breakfast. Shes almost 13. She had the Greek omelette and said that it was "really good!" I was looking forward to coming to Keys. I had missed being able to go their while I was in Kansas City. Keys has the awesome homestyle food and atmosphere! I had the "Everything Omelette" and two pancakes. I was looking forward to the huge delicious pancakes! Of course we couldnt eat it all, so we get to enjoy our meal again at home.

A downtown favorite! Keys home style cooking does not disappoint in any way. We love having breakfast for lunch, but lunch is just as good. They also serve Morningstar Coffee, which has a pleasant, medium roast, perfect for breakfast. The only reason I wouldnt give 5 stars is the restaurant itself could use a little modernization and the eggs are often overcooked. However you will find a wait on most mornings, and usually a wait for brunch on weekends FOR A REASON. We dont mind waiting. Baked goods are also pretty tasty.

Yum! Every time I go to Keys I tell myself that I am going to try something new - but I always end up with the Loon Omelet! Just the right amount of egg, loads of gooey provolone cheese and of course the wild rice, add the tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and mushroom cream sauce and you have a taste sensation that will make your mouth smile :) Try it with the multi-grain toast and the homemade raspberry jam (only at this White Bear Location). If you have room - the House Cake and the Cinnamon Rolls are to die for as well!

Im a local and I gotta tell everyone that Keys Cafe in DT White Bear Lake is awesome! The food is fabulous (my favorite is the chicken fried steak) and the homemade bread and strawberry preserves that come with your breakfast is the absolute best. The service is great and for a little fun the place is said to be haunted! Try whatever is on the menu - you wont be disappointed!

Good food, though can be really busy so please forgive staff if they mess up. Please ignore rumors of being haunted, people that claim to be psychs or paranormal investigators are trying to make money if they live in white bear. Lived in white bear forever and have been going to keys forever and nothing has happened.

The only Keys that sells country fried steak (that I know of) . I would give a definitely recommend to this dish for breakfast. The only thing missing is a bloody Mary, which you cant get here, but the coffee is really good instead. Every thing Ive eaten here had been good.

Well, Im sure I will catch flack for this but: I had an omelette and it wasnt that great. The veg inside was inconsistently cooked and pretty greasy. Service was not that great either. We have always been happy with our experiences at other locations, so we were surprised.

My French dip had packaging paper from the kitchen in it. On top of that the meat was dry and piled in so many small awkward chunky pieces I couldnt even pick it up to dip it into the au jus. They still charged us for it. Luckily I dont live here and I can avoid this spot.

Definitely the place to go for breakfast! You cant go wrong with anything on their menu. Definitely recommend their omelettes, their hash or their pancakes. Fair warning: their pancakes are as big as a plate but oh my, they are good! Cheers!

Every where we have lived one of the first things we do is find a great local restaurant to have our traditional Saturday breakfast out. For us, Keys is it. The food is great and two waitresses have become like our adopted daughters

Been going to Keys Cafe at least twice a month for over 20 years. Great comfort food and happy and helpful wait staff. The breakfasts are the best and Mark loves the hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and stuffing!

Very friendly staff and great comfort food. A couple of my favorites are the biscuits and gravy and farmers omelette although you cant go wrong with a couple pancakes or French toast.

I like the small town feel. My family is from white bear and there is always someone I know here. The forest lake location is not to my standards by any means. White bear lake!!!

I eat at Keys once or twice a month. I appreciate their value and taste. You cant find a bigger breakfast or lunch for $8. Keys will always be a place I like. Check it out!
