Food good. Waitress service good. But there is a problem at the hostess stand. I entered the restaurant and went to the restroom before talking to the hostess. I passed four empty booths on the way. When I returned to the entrance, I asked the hostess if I could have a booth. She said, "No. All of the booths are full." Not only was this obviously not true, but a couple was seated in one of the open booths I passed after I agreed to take a table. At the time, the back section where there are booths was not closed. They put up a sign for that. An old acquaintance sitting in a booth towards the front of the restaurant left before I was done eating, possibly before I started. The hostess dont give me that booth either. Another bad experience occurred at this restaurant when I stood for five minutes at the hostess stand with employees walking past me. No one acknowledged my existence, let alone seat me. I left.

Recently I went to Keys Cafe. I was in the mood for pizza/hotdogs/burgers/pizza rolls and none of the listed foods was on the menu. Already enraged, an employee named Dan served me. He was very sexual, blowing against my neck and stroking my thigh. After declining a request for my number, he began to hurl baked goods towards me. One of these projectiles struck my lower back, giving me slight bruising. In an immense amount of pain, my father, who I was eating with, rushed me to the emergency room where I found I had 5 broken ribs, a broken tailbone, shattered tibia, sprained wrist, dislocated shoulder and torn ACL. These injurys required 11 stitches on my right ankle. I was not pleased about my trip to Keys Cafe.

The service at this location was atrocious!!! We have never seen a waitress as rude as ours. She told us to hurry up and decide what we wanted to order because she had others to wait on. We overlooked that rude comment and placed our order. When our order arrived, it was nothing like the menu. Our Belgium waffle was very small and missing fruit and powdered sugar. When we spoke to our waitress about this, she replied, "Oh, you expected it to be THIS thick?", as she gestured with her fingers. At this rate, we told her that she was rude and we walked out. As we were leaving, she told us that she was "just playing". We will NEVER go there again!!! Their customer service is HORRIBLE!!!

Disgusting! Do not eat here. The grapes we were served smelled like raw fish. Couldnt even notify our waitress because she wasnt around, so had to flag down someone else. She went to tell the manager and he never came to our table to apologize or rectify the situation. We were never offered a discount on our bill until I said I wanted one and wasnt paying 42 dollars! The Pepsi was nasty tasted like diet even after I got a new one. Finally went with mountain dew. In the end we got our drinks for free. Big dissapointment. Not worth eating here for quality and price.

Abundantly average at best. I live nearby and have eaten here a handful of times when up early and looking for breakfast. I have only eaten here once when the service was fantastic and the food was as well. This morning I came craving a caramel roll and coffee. Who would have thought a caramel roll would be so tough I could have used a steak knife? Also served room temp with hardened caramel? Isnt serving them at least warmed common practice? This will be the last time I eat here

I came at a busy time, but would have thought the hostess would have been polite enough to tell me how long the wait would be. Walked up to the podium, and asked for a table, she wrote down my name and just walked away to seat another party. When she walked past again I had to stop her to ask for the wait time, and she replied very brashly and seemed very annoyed that I asked... My first time here and not a very good first impression.

This is the best place to eat in Woodbury - and the other locations are marvelous. Keys is a Minneapolis elite level type of breakfast - at normal people pricing. The staff is great, churning tables over efficiently while providing great food. Keys cafe ommelletes, pancakes and turkey dinners are amazing. The chicken tender sandwich, chili cheese fries, and the pastries are also noteworthy

The food was delicious and almost like home made with the bonus of not having to do the dishes after. The portions were large and our server was knowledgeable enough to warn me. Mid range pricing, but considering the portion sizes, a good value. We got in before churches let out on a Sunday morning, but there would be a wait later in the morning.

Had the hostess seat us outside, she brought us waters and asked if we wanted something to drink. Asked for pop, she then tells us the pop machine is broken. So sat for 15+ min with just water, no service. Waitresses had been in and out to other tables on the patio and not one peep to us. Walked out and wont be back! Horrible service.

I enjoy this restaurant. Some of the best cafe food around. This location is inside of a little strip mall and also has outdoor seating available. Always seem to be moderately busy but the staff keeps up. I have felt rushed here before probably because of how busy it gets. The carrot cake is absolutely, devastatingly good!!

This is the original of a chain of local restaurants run by the Keys family. The food is comforting and friendly, and so are all of the restaurants, including this one. I ordered my BLT on pumpernickel, and when it was served, the waiter remarked on what a good choice that was. And yes, they have tater tots. This is Minnesota!

The service was terrible, and it wasnt even busy. It took the waitress 10 minutes to bring us our drinks, and then she never brought refills. I got the pancakes, which were ok, but I didnt know how big they were, and theyre the size of the plate. So when I poured syrup on the pancakes, the syrup just dripped in my lap.

Great servers family owned and awesome food. Nothing to complain about unless your a little too critical of mommas cooking. Prices match corporate breakfast diners and cheaper for some plates. Not worth going to Perkins for a quicker table that's for sure. Give your money to locally owned buisness!

Definitely the go-to place for a greasy-spoon breakfast. The food is great but unfortunately the prices keep rising. Its hard to get out of there for less than $15-$20 per person for breakfast...hard to justify in this economy, especially given the amount of veterans who are looking for a good deal.

Keys is diner food, so keep that in mind when you order. Trying to get something health conscious doesnt go very well, but get something greasy and delicious for your hangover and you will have a great experience. Service is always great. I like the meatloaf and the hot turkey sandwich.

Its all about the breakfast menu, which never fails me. Pancakes are massive and my eggs & bacon are always done just right. Lose a star for not having biscuits/gravy/grits combo ... and because Ive never ordered anything but breakfast. Service is adequate for a breakfast place.
