Visited on a weeknight with our son (a pretty well-behaved 6). We were told to expext a 40 minute wait, but a table cleared in 15 minutes. We were well-treated by a friendly hostess and an efficient server. The food was excellent. We had a calamari appetizer (light and crisp), special pasta (Arrabiata, which was good but a bit too acidic from the peppers), pea ravioli (yum) and our son had good old spaghetti and meatballs (just right--he ate every bite of a large serving). Tiramisu was great: smooth, rich and creamy. The place was warm and bustling, but not too loud or raucous, and felt comfortable for our small family. The server knew without asking to bring our sons food right away, and was very attentive and helpful. All around a great experience: this is the casual neighborhood Italian place Ive always wanted Carmelos and Scusi to be.

Small, intimate atmosphere. We arrived just after opening at 5 pm Sunday and already the place was filling up quickly. Decided to go for the montanera pizza (deep fried crust). But they also serve fresh pasta which looked mouth watering. The pizza did not disappoint. Outstanding. Not greasy. My favorite was the Athena, complete with lightly fried pieces of dark meat chicken perfectly balanced with sweet and spicy tomatoes. Update 6/14 I have now have had the doughnuts twice now and they are the best Ive ever tasted. Its Wednesday and Im still fantasizing about the doughskits I had Sunday.

You wont find better service or better Italian food anywhere in the twin cities. The two times Ive bee to Muccis have been hands down the best dining experiences Ive ever had. Everyone is so incredibly and genuinely friendly and the food is sooooo good. You can expect a wonderful aesthetic, honest and helpful advice from the servers, and an absolutely amazing meal no matter what you go with. 10/10 would recommend to anyone without any hesitation at all.

I have now eaten here twice. The focaccia is a must try. You wont be disappointed. The pasta is homemade and amazing. The pizza is topped with interesting choices that make it unique and delicious. The restaurant is clean and the service is great. Only problem is theres not enough room if you have to wait for a table. They encourage you to walk to the bar thats a block away and then call you when your table is ready. Its worth the hassle, though!

They wont be open in 6 months. Its a tiny wooden box with a horrible door staff. Yes, its busy now due to all the press but taking a mocking tone with questions like "what do you want" and sing song "we dont take reservations" while walking away from customers who drove to this poorest of locations wont keep a clientele. Hows the food? Didnt get a chance to dine and wont take the time after receiving that attitude.

This place is amazing. Great food. Good quick service. I would recommend going here if you want good Italian food. Just a small little place (makes it a little hard to find) but once you find it you wont regret it. The lasagne was amazing, the garlic bread is a must, the campanelle was good and tiramisu was a good way to finish it all off. I went about 8:30pm and there was no wait.

This place was excellent! Great food and great service. The gnocchi was the very best Ive ever had, kind of like potato croquettes that melt in your mouth - and the sauce that went with them was outstanding. It was a long drive for me to get there (about 40 minutes - I live in Brooklyn Park) but it was totally worth it. I would absolutely go there again. Highly recommended!

Excellent Italian with homemade pasta, exquisite sauces, a neighborhood slant and touches of Nouvelle cuisine. The chefs three course dinner should be tried by at least one in a party. The service is good and the wine list solid. From spaghetti to risotto balls to an enormous ravioli with a poached egg inside everything was tasty and pleasing to the eye.

The first time we went, it was amazeballs!! Excellent food, excellent quality. The second time we went I could barely choke it down. Literally, it was terrrrrible. We dont have the kind of money it takes to waste on hit or miss dining. Well stick to our usuals for now where we know the good quality stays the same. Sorry, Muccis, we really wanted to love ya!

Dont come with a party of more than 4. There is literally one table in restaurant that can seat more than four and they refused to make any exceptions even after we waited an hour. We saw plenty of opportunities for the staff to move things around for us but they wouldnt and decided to split up our group and at that point we just left. Good luck!

Stopped for dinner after going to Mn. Opera on Sunday. We lucked out and got seated right away. Small place so a wait can be expected. Our meals were amazing good! I had the lasagna and my sister had baked dish with lobster. And the Tiramisu for desert was simply delicious! Very attentive and friendly staff and service. Will be back for sure!

High quality food and service, neighborhood feel, fun drinks and menu items, lots of love out into each and every detail. The West Seventh Neighborhood of Saint Paul welcomes you here with nostalgic home style American/Italian fare designed with a chefs artful hand at this lovely little spot. See you there!

No matter how many times I click, a sixth star wont appear so I can give this place 6 instead of 5 stars! My wife and I went here for our anniversary last night and the food was phenomenal! Due to the small venue it does tend to get loud in the restaurant but it isnt unbearable. Highly recommend Muccis!

My wife and I really enjoyed Muccis. We shared a chopped salad that was crisp and fresh. We also split an order of some of the best clams Ive ever had. The pizza was excellent with a crispy crust. The spaghetti was superb, fresh made pasta with a thick red sauce that cant be beat.

The homemade pasta here will ruin you for life. Everything here from the appetizers and pizza to the entrees was spectacular. I highly recommend the pizza; its crust is deep fried and savory. Cant go wrong with the entrees either. A small selection but all are great.

The restaurant has a cozy feel, and even when its full, it doesnt feel crowded. The service was superb; they were quick to refill our water, which was very appreciated! We ordered their lasagna and one of their pizzas, and everything was flavorful--we loved it.

Excellent housemade noodles. Definitely get the bucatini! Loved this dish. The deep fried pizza is amazing too! Wasnt quite as happy with the agnoloti (basil pesto dish) as it was swimming in olive oil. Nice, relaxed atmosphere and good service.

The pizza was excellent-- the crust was crispy to perfection, not a trace of burning. The cheese was plentiful, but didnt with the pizza down or make the crust soggy. I chose to call in and have my pizza to go, and the staff were very friendly.

Small and cozy, but humongous tasting food. Home made pasta is amazing and the donuts on the weekends are a highlight. Because of its size, tales are a bit close together, but it just gives you a chance to buddy up with some new friends.

Awesome food, great atmosphere, and good service. Took the GF here for her bday. The little wait was worth it! Camilla pizza was amazing, and my gf loved her lasagna. Make sure to get a side of the hangover kale. Will be back for sure.
