Genghis Grill has the best food around in my opinion. The restaurant seems to be owned by and indian american family. They are super-nice, friendly, check in occasionally at appropriate times, and provide overall quality service from the time you enter to the time you leave. In fact, there is this one waiter who is super-bubbly and happy that really enhances our experience ten-fold whenever he is working. The hispanic cooks on the other hand really bring down the overall dining experience. They will gawk, stare and speak sexually explicit comments in Spanish about female guests. You can also hear them complaining about people that dont tip in Spanish. Heres a note to the hispanic cooks: perhaps if you could 1. speak english 2. didnt gawk, stare or make sexual comments about guests 3. were friendly 4. were interesting... you would DESERVE a tip. I refuse to tip them. I used to but they dont deserve it or earn it. If you get a white girl waitress, you will have a 50/50 chance of getting good service. This place could be so much better if they hired more friendly, RESPECTFUL cooks and trained their waiters and waitresses better to be more prompt and aware rather than standing at the bar chit-chatting when new guests walk in and are seated. Lastly, Id say the atmosphere is somewhat confusing. Its a sports bar, yet with a Mongolian theme. I feel the two themes dont really mix well. What do sports and the 13th - 14th century have in common?

The food here is pretty good, thats why I give them two stars. The service here is HORRIBLE. The wait staff rarely comes to check if you need extra beverages, and for a place thats usually deserted and is serving food that could be spicy, theres no excuse. My girlfriend and I went here quite often for a few weeks, and would always share a single bowl (not even being able to finish one between the two of us). The last time we went I got my bill after eating and it was over twice the normal price. I asked the waitress why we were overcharged and she explained "Its our policy to charge you for two meals if you share one". I was furious, I spoke to the manager who explained that "People could potentially try to sneak up for extra food and then just pay for one meal, so anyone who eats gets charged for a bowl of food no matter what." I told them it was BS, and that we had never been charged like that before. I also mentioned there wasnt anyone in there, and if our waitress actually paid attention to us to refill our drinks when needed instead of hanging out at the bar, theyd know if we went up for multiple trips. So after basically accusing me of trying to steal food, he said "well if the extra charge is that big of a deal, I guess I can waive it for this trip...", like I couldnt afford it, not because of the fact they wanted me to pay for something I didnt get. I told him we would never come back to that place and havent gone since.

I will say that I agree somewhat with the previous people. The cooks were the most annoying thing. My wife and another woman we were with were stared at, commented about, and they even were making remarks about how much food I had in my bowl. Just plain Inappropriate, please speak english and be curtious to those who make it possible for you to recieve a paycheck. The waitstaff sit around the bar area until someone comes in, and then sit there talking during your meal. I felt I shouldnt leave a tip at all, not even for the waitress who didnt even check to see if we needed a refill until the meal was over. Which i would have loved because I like my jalapenos. It isnt like the waitstaff does much, I say just put in a fountain machine and ditch the servers... Over all they have great tasting food, and we can ignore the comments and stares, but doesnt make for a good evening out, nor will I tip a cook that doesnt greet or act appropriate.

You know overall this restaurant is filled with a bunch of spoiled prude workers who run the place in the same annoying order. They always come to your table when your glass is still is still pretty much full and ask how things are doing. 2 minutes later the spicy food makes me thirsty and I realize my drink is empty and they are just goofing around while I wait 10 minutes to get a refill( and I have to ask for it) which is pretty rude of them on their part because the wait staff should always do rounds to make sure the customer is satisfied. The hospitality of this restaurant is very poor and the service is definitely not with a smile(more of which a grunt) and this is coming from American workers from Minnesota. I like leaving tips at restaurants but only when they deserve it and a couple times I wasnt tended my needs or treated right so I left without leaving a single penny.

Ive been here three times now. Each time tried one of their suggested recipes and found it to be pretty bland. Ingredients seem to be of good quality and there is certainly a large selection of them. Service is fine and atmosphere about what youd expect. Prices seem excessive for what you get. One bowl of food + a drink + tip costs as much as two lunches at other nearby restaurants. I personally prefer Khans Mongolian over in Bloomington. Their sauces seem more flavorful, plus they include a small appetizer plate with your food.

Line is confusing. You go up to build your food and typically there a list of what you can make like a recipe. You learn after youve guessed what spices go with what that they have recipes on their wall. Same with the sauces. You guess and later discover the recipe is on the wall. The rice is SOOOO hard. They gave me the wrong order. Their root beer tastes nasty which is surprising because its a Coca-Cola product that comes straight out of a machine. Looks fancy but lets remember.... Looks can be DECEIVING.

We were rushed too our seats and only thing that was asked is how many. The girl that sat us had a jacket on and I did not think she even worked there. After we were seated I noticed she was walking around with her hoodie on. We went to the food line. It was so dirty with food all over the place. No manager around . The cooks were taking to each other in Spanish ...I think. We have been to one before in Florida. This one was very dirty and the employees did what they want...very disappointed.

Simply the best way to build your own stir fry and watch it cooked on the giant circular grill. You have complete control over what goes into your stir fry. They also have some meal cards to help you if you dont know what to put in your stir fry. Small, medium and large sizes available so that gives you plenty of options in terms of pricing. I have been there twice and it has been a great experience both times!

This is the FIRST time I went to a mongolian bbq where it was ONE bowl only, this was not mentioned by the server OR on the menu. It took 15 minutes to even get the bowl to go make the bowl. It took 45 minutes to get a refill on my soda and ONLY after I asked for it. They rushed us out the door bringing us a to go box when we were still eating!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!
