This is probably a fine place for drinks but food is not their thing...at least on the day that our family ate there. We were there around 6:00on a Thursday night. The dining area was empty so the kitchen should not have been busy. We had a meatball appetizer that was decent. Kids had chicken figers that were warm, cooked but pretty bland. Wife had a fish sandwich that greasy on a dry/stale bun. I had pulled pork bbq sandwich. The pork was real dry, even with the bbq sauce and my bun was also stale/dry. French fries were thin and very greasy. I can understand fish being "hit and miss" but how do you mess up pulled pork? The buns were probably old by several days. Usually a bar/grille has decent fries but these were oil soaked and soft. The longer we tried to eat our food, the unhappier we became. Waitress had a smile on her face but when I expressed my disatisfaction, she offered no remedy. We didnt finish our meal. Disappointing. We assumed that due to the location, they must be good but I think they rope in tourists (like us) and people from the excel center...one-time diners at this place. If i had to guess, I think their menu is WAY to big for them to properly manage it. Should probably simplify the number of options and focus on improving the quality of a more limited menu. We however will never "take a chance" on this restaurant again.

Brought in our company group of 20 and had drink tickets. Our bartender selectively didnt hear me say I wanted rail and our bill came out to $650 for 2 hours with 2 appetizers (which if youre doing a group event are absurdly expensive). Bartender first says she didnt hear me say I wanted rail, then when she spoke with her manager said that rail only applies to liquor, not beer or wine. Besides that being dumb in general, it doesnt make any sense since nothing on my bill was rail, not even the liquor. Owner was supposed to call twice, Ive given up on them trying to fix the situation and Ive resigned that all I can do is try to dissuade people from going there. Beyond that expensive mistake due to their bartenders hearing problems, I heard multiple complaints from our employees (and would agree) that the bartender had a supreme attitude problem. Guess you can get away with that when we have to pay 18% on the bill whether we like the service or not. Told the group she wouldnt serve us now that we had pushed the tables together, wed have to come to the bar. Apparently, we were a huge inconvenience even though we had the room to ourselves and she was our assigned bartender.

Hostess tried to seat 3 of us at a table with only 2 chairs and then acted like WE needed to go find another chair by asking other tables if we could take from them. They didnt tell us until after we waited 45 min to be seated that there was a 1 hour wait for food. Food came out later than 1 hour we were told ... one meal at a time...then appetizer came out after that, lol. Food for one was brought to another table that actually had walked out and then when questioned if it was ours, the waitress was very rude and said no. 10 minutes later when we asked our waitress where the food was she came back with the plate that had already been out and taken back 10 minutes prior...cold and disgusting. Refused food. Saw the rude waitress at computer with hosts and other wait staff bad mouthing either our table or someone elses...doesnt matter, it was gross behavior. Manager did comp meal and drinks and was very nice but unfortunately it was far too late, his staff had already screwed him over.

What a joke! We had a party of 3. Came in before a concert so we knew we were going to have to wait which was no problem. Told 15-20 minutes which was fine. 1/2 hour later still waiting while the hosts were seating other people before us. We asked the hosts how much longer we would have to wait. We were told 15 more minutes. Total wait time-45 minutes instead of 15. Got to the table and the waitress says "Just to let you know, it will be atleast a 45 minute wait on your food." Would have been nice to know that from the beginning so we, like so many others could have left and went some place else. People were leaving left and right as soon as they heard how long the wait was. They lost ALOT of business that day!

Service was really slow, not that it was the waitresss fault. She was very attentive, making sure our glasses were full and checking in on us at a consistent rate. I would think the kitchen was backed up, but the restaurant wasnt full. We didnt order lots of starters, just entrees (there were 8 of us). Again our waitress kept us in the loop on what stage our order was at, and when it was ready she brought it out quickly. According to others in the group the slow service was not common, so Im thinking today was just a fluke. Food was delicious, especially the french fries! Back patio/deck was nice, but the hotel that went up next to the restaurant has really killed the view.

This place was pretty horrible. It shouldnt be that difficult to make a decent hamburger. My husband and I both ordered a hamburger before going to a concert. The one small piece of lettuce was old and wilted and shouldve been thrown away. The cheese looked like they slapped on a processed American Single slice. If youre going to use a piece of processed cheese on a hamburger then you have no business charging $13. The fries were plain and sub-par. If I were the owner or the chef I would have been down right embarrassed to serve what we were served. I can make a better burger at home. I wouldnt go back to this place even if I was given a gift card.

One meal was forgotten and was at least 15 minutes late. We all paid cash and we were charged an automatic gratuity for a party of 5. One was comped and was free. It still wasnt right, she ordered grilled chicken and not fried chicken. Four people were paying and an automatic gratuity was charged (at 18%). One member paid with a $100 bill and was shorted $20 on his change. The manager was alerted to the gross shorting of change and couldnt care less. The waitress was told and didnt even look at the bill and the change to verify. (Implying that she knew of the shorting)... Overall worst dining experience Ive had in St. Paul yet. Stick Minneapolis...

I have never dined at your establishment, and I now know that I never will... I am outraged that you are supporting Emmers view that Minnesota cut down the minimum wage for tipped employees. These people work real hard for their money, and you believe that we should reduce that so that you can save $30,000??? Despite your claims that Emmers words were "misquoted" or "misrepresented" it is still clear that you support his views. SHAME ON YOU! I cant believe you still have servers working for you, when you are in favor of reducing their income. I will never support your restaurant, I cannot eat at an establishment that treats its employees so poorly.
