This was my first visit to the Lone Oak Grill. My two friends and I walked into the door and up to the hostess stand. The young hostess gave us an irritated look but didnt say anything to us. I asked if we could have table for three. Our waitress come to the table about 5 minutes later and asked us if we wanted something to drink. She was very impatient while taking our order. My friend ordered a BLT which arrived burnt. She did not complain but the waitress never returned until her food was gone and her pop was empty. We waited so long we went to the bar and filled our own pop. The waitress come back while the gentlemen in our group had gone up to the bar to ask for a refill. We told her we sent him to get the refill she then got a pop and dropped it at our table saying nothing to us. She then brought our bill. We were not impressed with the rude service and felt the sound on the televisions was too loud for those dining. The bar is nice but the personnel was rude. We were not in a hurry and a simple apology would have gone a long way. We are not likely to return.

This place is great! Its a little tucked away, but its a total gem in Eagan. They have tons of taps, which they cycle regularly-so theres always something new to try! And they have a bunch of IPAs! Their food is tasty, with options ranging from burgers, bbq, and fancy salmon dishes to classy, delicious desserts. Their prices are also really good, especially on Sundays during their all day happy hour! We had awesome service throughout the night with food coming out within minutes and always getting more beers. The only holdup was our inability to decide on our next beer off their massive beer list! They have a great big bar with inside and outside seating during summer, with a great, modern industrial aesthetic. Lots of big TVs for watching sports and a stage for bands. They also started a weekly live trivia on Sundays at 8pm with some great fun and awesome prizes! We had a blast and will definitely be back next Sunday!

Our waiter was honest with us when we finally sat down that one of the cooks called in "sick" and that our food would take awhile. It was 2 hours before we ate, which we understood after what he told us. What we didnt understand was what kept tables from being cleaned (we waited for our table to be cleaned for 20 minutes), drinks from being delivered (took 30 minutes - wasnt worth getting another), and not having an attentive waiter (we were rarely checked on, empty waters and charged me for a much more expensive beer). I had the brisket dip sandwich, which was delicious and a unique idea. They had a good selection of local beers, large patio and great live music. Unfortunately, it was being very poorly managed, which led to a poor experience. I would maybe give it a second chance if Im in the area, but I wouldnt go out of my way.

Went Friday night and the band was playing and a lot of people were there for drinks so it was a fun atmosphere. Ordered the fish and chips and was disappointed that for $12 I got two small pieces of fish with a lot of fries. The pieces of fish were about 4 inches long and looked like a small panfish fillet. I just wish on the menu they wouldve noted the amount because that was the smallest fish and chips order Ive ever had. The waitress seemed like she had gotten that question before when I asked if a piece was missing because she said it was pretty small and should include another. Oh well the beer was cold and will go for drinks just not food.

Went to the lone oak grill on Sunday early evening just as we sat down the band started to warm up , not good. we asked to move it was so loud several people asked to move . The garage doors were open and all you could smell was the smoke from smokers on the patio ,mentioned it twice to 2 different servers. Our server said the band would stop playing at 6PM it was almost unbearable SO LOUD. That band didnt have to play that loud and your restaurant didnt absorb any of it. Will not come back if we see a band there.Could not talk the whole time the band played. NOT ENJOYABLE!!

I usually just sit at the bar, but the service there is always exceptional. All of the bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of beer and it is nice to sit outside during the warmer months. The food can be spendy, but is good, The Hangover Burger is great and will fill you up. The Jambalaya is good, but very spicy. They do have a reasonable happy hour menu to choose from if you are there during those times. The only thing that sucks is the evening happy hour food doesnt start until 10 PM.

Great food and really good service, great beer selection that rotates around too... Ive never had a bad meal here, and although they offerings like similar restaurants in the area, they seem to put a unique twist on everything on the menu. I would knock off half a star though, because its so loud inside that half the time its hard to have a normal conversation, and if they live music forget talking to someone without nearly yelling. The patio is a good solution in the summer for that though. Still, the food is worth it.

Ate here 3 times while in town. The ribs are really good so I ordered them twice. Stay away from the seafood gumbo, the taste and smell were not pleasant. Not sure if it was a bad mix of ingredients or something else, but I could only take 3 bites and I generally like gumbo and jumbalya. Had 1 order to go and they didnt give me any ketchup or bbq for my fries. Its insignificant but small things do matter. Overall, I think this place has good food and a good atmosphere. Hear their burgers are great as well.

Great Food, good beers, too bad nobody I know knows of it. Cheese curds are good, but the rasberry or blackberry sauce really makes them. Only problem I ever had was this god forsaken bee that would not leave me alone. After about twenty minutes of waiting with a fly swatter (which they graciously provided) for it to land anywhere except in my berry sauce for cheese curds I eventually gave up the cause and trapped it. They took care of the bee from there. Not their fault everyone likes their food.

Pros: Quality of food is good. The different craft brews that rotate in and out is a perk. Also they have a medium-large party room that can be reserved for events. The live music can also be an attraction for an evening out. Cons: The food is good here but is a bit pricey for the type of food it is. The Lunch specials are much better but service can be a bit slow as they get a lot of lunch time traffic. If you only have an hour for lunch, you sometimes can be a bit pressed for time.

Good food and drinks, in fact they have a large selection of drinks on their happy hour. However, they encourage their live performances to turn the volume up so that you struggle to talk with the people you came with. When we asked if they would turn it down we were blown off. Dont get me wrong, the music is good but I also want to hear the conversation that I came to have. If I didnt want to talk to the person I came with I wouldnt have gone to the bar with them...
