I seriously dont know whats wrong with the 14 other people that left comments on here. My family and I, were looking for a good Chinese restaurant to eat at. Preferably one with a buffet, and that we have never been to before. So I pulled up my Google Places app on my Android phone and searched for Chinese restaurants in our area. After reading the 14 reviews for this restaurant, I was like WOW. Lets go here. Sounds like a great place........... Wrong!! When we first walked in, me and my girlfriend, looked at each other, both thinking well I hope the food is good. We set down in the far right corner of the restaurant. Our table cloth was obviously taken from a Mexican restaurant. The selection was horrible. Wheres the General Tsos? Fried Rice? Kung Pao Chicken? They had rice, but it looked and tasked like the cheap brown rice you get from walmart. The rest of the food had a weird taste too it. The sweet and sour sauce tasted as if it was contaminated with some type of cleaning agent. For myself, my girlfriend, and our 6yr old. The total came to $29. We left very unsatisfied, and I would definitely recommend eating just about anywhere else in Tallahassee...

To those that read the low reviews: are you the type of person that wants REAL Chinese / Taiwanese food? Do you not know the real flavors but are open to experience them? OR Must the food be the same menu as every cheap Chinese joint youve ever found? Are you the type of person to judge tastes as "cleaning agent" because you have no experience of palette? Follow the real reviews. Is it a classic tucked away "hole in the wall"? -Yes! Does that take away from the atmosphere? No! This place is the REAL DEAL! fantastic, unbelievable. If you are tired of the buffet? Heres a novel concept: order off the menu! :) The buffet is actually amazing! But after going here for the last 15 years I do order off the menu sometimes for the reason of change. Know yourself. You like the good stuff? Go here! You like To go to the macaroni grill in every city in the us cause its the same? maybe, maybe not.

Bamboo House is this amazing little restaurant on a side street that is one of Tallahassees best kept little secrets. You usually only catch locals and a few college students in there, along with a ton of Asians (so you know its good and authentic!) They have great quality food with a ton of selections for everyone. Theyve got meat, chicken and even Tofu dishes for everyones pallet. And the food is very fresh since they are constantly replenishing the buffet! My boyfriend and I love going to eat their; its very quaint and cozy and just an overall great little place!

Ive been going to this restaurant since I was a baby and my parents brought me. It has never dissapointed me! I absolutely LOVE the food and atmosphere. It is the best Asian buffet in town. Even though the food selection is smaller than the "big places" the QUALITY of the food is way better! Quality is always better than quantity! The owner knows my face and my whole family and makes us feel very special any time we come in!

This place is awesome. Great buffet with lots of vegan/vegetarian options (the eggplant is the best). Everything was delicious and clean but the cook was relaxed enough to come chat with us at our table. One of the owners heard us praising the tofu dish and had some packed up for us to take home. Overall, an awesome local-vibe with both Americanese take-out and more traditional food options.

This is, hands down, the BEST Chinese restaurant I have ever experienced. As a vegetarian, I get stuck with the same 4 choices of noodles and rice and lame veggies every time I go to a Chinese buffet, but this place BLEW MY MIND. They had like 4 different tofu dishes on the buffet, all outstanding, and the service and selection were awesome. I could eat there every day.

I go to the Bamboo House regularly to meet with friends and I just noticed that they have recently painted, got a new canopy, and re-surfaced the parking lot. I just wanted to say that I think it looks great. It makes the place look so much better than before. The food quality is always great, but before it was a bit shabby looking. Now, its got a better appeal.

I enjoyed my experience here. I got the buffet and really went to town. The atmosphere is great overall and the food really didnt disappoint. I liked that it is family owned, and the service was really friendly. My gf, who is from Japan commented that this was some legit Chinese food. I would recommend it.

I wish that I could give this restaurant a good rating. It came highly recommended. The buffet was ok but the condition of the restaurant was appalling. I wish that I would have seen the mold on the walls before I sat down. The bathroom was disgusting. Worst restaurant i have been in tallahasse. Disturbing

Ive loved this place since before my son was born. Their best cook is back too, so its even better, like it was when I first fell in love with the place. The owner has seen my boy grow up as its the only Chinese place in town well eat, aside from the rare trip to Far East. Bamboo House buffet is the best!

Flat rate Chinese buffet. A great variety of food, and very friendly staff. Dont see something in the buffet that youd like to try? Ask! Its usually made to order for you - and the selection of buffet items is always changing. Do not let the one way street prevent you from coming to this restaurant!

After personally spending quite a time in China, I highly recommend this restaurant. The woman whom welcomed us to her restaurant made us a special plate of 鱼香茄子 (a eggplant specialty dish). I highly suggest this place because the atmosphere and people are supreme.

Food isnt bad, price is right, I wouldnt take a date here but if you want a buffet to slay after youve been fishing out at St marks all afternoon, and bring a flask, this isnt bad. Wings are solid AF. And I dont mean air Force.

One of the better oriental buffets witth good vegetarian choices. They really prepare outstanding items from their menu and those are the best choices. Friendly folks. Cleanliness is not the best but typical in my experience.

FOOD IS HORRIBLE! DONT DO IT! RUN AWAY! Won tons taste like soured cream cheese, sweet and sour chicken hard as a brick the noodles were absolutely horrid. Buffet is tiny and cramped.

Terrible food! The food was cold and had a weird flavor. I havent been happy with their food in the last six months. I will not be eating there ever again!
