Worst restaurant experience ever. The server needed more training before being put on the floor alone. In the middle of taking our drink order she needed to stop everything and go check the beers on tap. She took the time to write them down before coming back to finish taking the drink order. Then forgot to bring the waters that we asked for which was the only thing one of the kids ordered to drink. She said she didnt hear the request. When I ordered mine she was standing right next to me engaging in the conversation with me and people at the other end of the table heard me ask. When my husband had to go get more straws from the bar she was just sitting chatting with a co-worker. The kids refill on mac and cheese was hot when it came back out and the food runner (with her rude demeanor) handed the hot food across the table to one of the kids. This was done because there was no room in front of her on the table. Rather than a grown up trouble shoot this and remove the empty plate she handed it over and left without even taking the other plates. We were there for a birthday. Two in fact. My husband went over and told the server she walked over to the table and informed me that they were waiting for clean ice cream dishes. The were dead! Not one birthday for the hour that we had been there already. Then she came with the caramel sundaes (we ordered chocolate) to the wrong end of the table and asked who they went to. Nice surprise for my adult sister. Ordered a tall Oberon and it was about 3/4 full with no orange. I could go on! None of these things alone are a huge deal but when you add it all up... Where was the manager all night so that I could tell him instead of posting on here to feel better? No idea. It seemed that there were problems at the bar, front and back of house when we were there which makes for a terrible experience. Maybe they recently had all of there employees walk out and they had to go to the mall and ask anybody to fill the spaces. We will never go back to this restaurant again!

My daughter and I decided to try Red Robin for the first time today. We were seated quickly, and the server, Collin, came to our table after only a minute. I told him it was my first time there, so he took his time to go over the menu with me, suggesting one of the burgers they are famous for. I ended up getting a chicken sandwich with cheddar and bacon. They put four strips of bacon on it to my surprise. My daughter got the burger, which she loved. I asked Collin if he would bring the fries out first, and he had no problem with that. He was very friendly and fast. They have steak fries here, which I am not a big fan of. I will order them well done next time because I prefer a fry with a crunch. I ordered a water originally, but the water in Novi is not very good, so I ordered a drink at the end of my meal. The drinks are very expensive because they have free refills on them, so if you are going to get one, do not wait until the end of the meal. The only reason I gave 4 rather than 5 stars is because while the food is good, it is pricy for what you get. I have been to similar places and gotten the same quality of food for much less money.

I dont know what happened. Ive always liked their burgers, but tonight something was off. Like, WAY off... I got the Whiskey River bbq burger, and got the hangover version. The party was flat & tasteless, exactly like a frozen patty tastes. I couldnt eat half of it. The manager came over to ask us if everything was ok, & I asked when they changed to frozen patties. She said it wasnt. Well agree to disagree. She comped the burgers off our tab. Waiter was attentive & better than normal. I may come again, and hopefully this was simply an off night.

The decor has been toned down after a recent remodel, and feels more mature now. The staff is usually very good, but the one thing holding down the rating is the consistency of the food. When its good, it is very good, but when its bad, it makes you not want to come back for a while. On a recent visit, we ordered clam chowder, and my dates soup was good, and mine was like dishwater. They replaced it with a different soup which was thick and tasty, and room temperature...

This place is hit or miss when it is busy. On many occasions when full the kitchen cut too many corners on the way the toppings are applied. I ordered the Billion Dollar Baby and I ordered it medium, it came very rare sauce glooped all over it, undercooked bacon, but to top it off the fire grilled tomatoes were just sliced underripe ones. Ive been on other occasions and it was good, so I guess one has a 50/50 chance of a good experience.

I love the food but this bald headed bartender was rude and a asked for two cokes to my kids meals and he said very fast "can I just put it in a huge big cup" so said sure obviously not thinking so he gives me a regular cup and my food and I was just mad so I started to walk and I realized I forgot to pay so he said "ARE YOU GOING TO PAY ME"? I was luck oh sorry I forgot.

I got the southern charm burger and it was AMAZING!! Not trying to boost up a chain restaurant, but this location is the best red robin Ive been to as well as one of the best burger places Ive been too period. The wait staff are all very friendly and the kitchen staff prepare the food almost perfectly. No complaints and I will be frequenting this red robin.

Didnt actually get the food but my car broke down and I nursed it into their parking lot. The manager was extremely friendly and courteous. He offered us food on the house and asked us if we needed a jump. While we declined the food as we were not hungry the service and management is obviously top notch. Will stop here the next time we are passing through!

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday after visiting the petsmart and I was very impressed! The waitress was quick and courteous often fillling our drinks. The cool thing is they were even selling girl scout cookies towards the door, which we totally took advantage of! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars was the bathroom was rather icky.

The food is great at this location, but the service can be questionable from time to time. Just depends on the day and how busy they seem to be, but if you can get past that, the food is always good! Will continue with Red Robin, but maybe not this particular location. The one in Novi is good too!

Today I visited the Red Robins location in Livonia on 6 mile road east of I-275. I went because they offered a Veterans Day lunch to all Veterans and Im a veteran. They the staff treat me so that I felt like I was the only person in the building that they wanted to serve and the food was great.
