I dont know where to begin, I have been going to this local Indian spot for years, back when it was "Haandi" I worked there, which made my knowledge of Indian cuisine a bit more experienced, since then it has changed to royal cuisine of india & now Raj.. Apparently every time someone new buys it, it gets worse. Haandi had great authentic Indian food, royal cuisine of india was hit or miss sometimes great sometimes not, Rajs Indian food went straight into the trash can. I could not believe my service, and was even more shocked they choose to serve me the food they did.. Ill break the down from beginning to end. I ordered: Samosas, chicken 65, chicken maakani, & garlic naan. Some staples in Indian cuisine & very popular apps, the samosas were hard as rocks, chicken65 looked old and gray, chicken maakani looked like they poured a whole bottle of fish sauce in it, the smell made me gag. There was a thick layer of oil on top, the garlic naan had a life time supply of minced garlic on it and was burnt to a crisp.. Lesson 1 in cooking 101: burnt garlic ruins any food it touches! Onto the serves, I called ahead and ordered, on the phone the gent taking my order tried to tell me chicken tikka misala when I clearly said NO I want chicken maakani, after repeating that back and forth 3-4 times he said 15-20 mins. When my boyfriend got there they tried to give him chicken tikka misala he said no, repeated the order then the host said "here it is",(on a peice of paper) and then placed the order in the computer. They didnt start cooking it until after we were there to pick to up & they tried to pawn off someones no show carry-out order on us, twice! Save yourself the money & go some place else!

I love this restaurant. Ever since we find it we get take out from there at least once a week. The service (take out at least) is excellent. Weve eaten there many times in the past and the dine-in service is usually good, but can be a little slow depending on who you get. They are awesome for take out. They make sure to wrap everything individually so nothing spills and then wrap all the containers in plastic wrap. They did get our order wrong once and actually called us while we were on our way home to have us go back and get the correct food and much to my husbands pleasure allowed him to keep the incorrect food as well, which certainly did not go to waste. I love the buffet. it is different every single day with a couple staples that are always there. My favorite is their chicken tikka masala, but I have never had a dish I didnt like. Strongly recommend this Indian restaurant!

Stumbled upon it and what a great find! The service was impeccable. Have been craving good Indian cuisine for a long time and have been repeatedly disappointed by taste and price. Now we have finally found our new place! Complex flavors, excellent quality, great quantity and the dishes were really amazing. Everyone in my family found something to suit them and our six year old loved it as well! From the paneer to the naan to the tandori and the ras Mali, we are hooked! Last of all it is very affordable. We will be back soon!!

Went for fathers day. Fantastic service. Food was great considering the low price tag for a buffet! Would go back. Id recommend this and Dhabas (8 Mile and Haggerty in BP station). This has a very outdated feel to it like ancient Indian culture (wallpaper, paintings, music). Definitely could use some updates to its look with more lively Indian music in todays time. Overall, its improved from before and I get the feeling its under new management.

First time visit, going to be a long time customer! I went in hungry, and left full to the brim. I had veg dishes, chicken dishes, and goat dishes. I cleaned my plate 2 times. The goat curry was out of this world. All the dishes were great. This will be my new go to Indian restaurant. We were here for a party and it went very smoothly. All the staff was great. Even Joe the dishwasher was pleasent. My family and I will be back.

I LOVE this place. Best Indian food Ive ever had in Michigan. We come here every so often for dinner. The service is always really great and the food is even better. The portion sizes are good and served in an appealing way. This week I went to the lunch buffet for $9.95 and I was overjoyed. There were so many options and not one thing was sub-par. Cant wait to bring my family members for the lunch buffet sometime soon.

Great service, food fresh too order. Joe is a very hospitable owner/manager, considerate of vegan/gluten free/soy & oil free cooking when I told him what I do/dont eat. Hes very creative and can make any healthy dish delicious. Hard working jovial bunch makes for a nice atmosphere. Great variety of authentic home-style Indian food (havent tried Chinese part of menu). Looking forward to renovations and expansions here :)

Great food. I operate a cellular repair center a few mile away from this place and I literally order delivery every single day. The owner Joe even gives free samples here and there of new entree items for me to try. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves indian/Pakistani style cooking. If you ask for very spicy its actually very spicy as opposed to these other restaurants. Thanks for great service!

Have been enjoying this restaurant for lunch and dinner for many years. And even turned my coworkers on to it. From Haandi, to Royal, to now Raj Palace, it has always been a pleasant experience. My Father-in-law is from India and am very familiar with the cuisine. Im sure we will be dining at Raj Palace for Fathers Day as we usually do every year. Hope the good experienced continues.

We just ate at Raj Palace Indian Cuisine & loved every entree we ordered! This is the best Indian restaurant in the area. The food was delicious and the service was great. If you are GF -- this place caters to you as well, which is a rare find in Indian restaurants. Overall, we really enjoyed our Dinner and coming back here again. I am so glad to have found this awesome restaurant!!

The new owner Joseph is amazing. He always greets our family and remembers us from previous visits. The food is great, naan is fluffy and buttery. Lassi is thick and traditional instead of watered down like some places. The entrees are clearly made fresh and taste authentic as well!!! This is a must go if you are in the area and looking for good cuisine!!!

Found this gem here on google and what a great find! Food was outstanding and the Staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience there. Notably it was not very busy that day, however all of the staff was friendly. This place certainly ends up on my top 5 list of local restaurants. Will be back for sure.

No welcome guesture to guests. Drove in from Indiana for a conference. Was there at 11:00 am. While the lunch buffet starts only at 11:30, I asked if i can wait inside until ready. The person there bluntly refused saying nai (no). As if I was an unwanted guest. I got nice welcome treatment next door at the Thai restaurant.
