I paid for the buffet and concluded my meal by grabbing two cookies from the buffet table. To my surprise, after taking my first bite I found a sharp piece of plastic sticking out (Yes - inside of the cookie). The manager took the cookie off my plate after I showed her and seemed somewhat surprised. The next time I saw her was when it was time for the checks. Not to sound entitled, but I think something as dangerous as that warrants a free meal, coupon, or even a discount. Im not the type to complain and they should thank their lucky stars that it wasnt someone more dramatic taking a bite out of that cookie. Good food otherwise.

Good points: excellent food, great service (but we were the only ones there!). Negative aspects for me: if youre not familiar with French words, they should give you a dictionary. Otherwise theyll be explaining every third word to you. Its one big room - for the prices you pay, theres no ambiance/atmosphere. Weve gone to equivalent restaurants that were just gorgeous. This looks like a converted store. Lastly, the meals did not fill us up. I give 4 stars because the food was very good. The menu variety was very good too, because Im fussy. They even have a cheeseburger.

The food, restaurant employees, and service is great. You pay for excellent service and delicious food. I am very impressed with the restaurant owner, who is out on the floor making sure everyone is having a great experience, even helping his staff by refilling drinks, and bringing out food. Edit as of August 2016: The food selection and quality here are mediocre at best anymore. Shoneys is a better option for less price then the Brasserie. The staff is more attentive also.

My husband and I love Northshore Brasserie! It has become our restaurant of choice for special (and even not-so-special) occasions, alone or with friends. The service is the best in Knoxville (with the same faces every time!), and the flavors of the food are so complex and delectable that we savor every bite. Its not as expensive as you might think, especially if you go on Tuesday (half-priced wine night). If you try it, Im confident it will become one of your favorites, too.

I eat here all the time and never have a meal that was not excellent. The service is nice, though they can get very busy at time, and the atmosphere is nice, though it can be noisy at time. As for cost, they are a little expensive for dinner but they are somewhat inexpensive for lunch, especially their lunch buffet with soup, salid, fish, meat, sandwiches, quiche, and some other stuff. If you go here try their hamburgers, they are the best in town.

Thursday nights are a real treat at the Brasserie, which is our favorite restaurant anyway. The pris fix tasting menu is inventive, fabulous, and always great. They are playing around with different dishes and flavors and are scoring every time. And, you cant beat the price. Without a doubt, this is the place to be on Thrusdays.

Chesapeakes is the best place in Knoxville for fresh seafood. The crab bisque is the best you can find - even when I traveled all over Maine I didnt find any to compare. My friends meet at least once a week for happy hour. Its our local get together to find out whats going on in K-town.

This is our favorite local hangout with great food, a lively atmosphere and everyone remembers your name. It is equally fun on a casual night after work or when you want to get dressed up. I dont think there has been a time where I havent seen someone there that I know.

Great French and Belgian standards - awesome burgers and a wonderful croque monsieur at lunch. Staff is very friendly and professional but the kitchen can be slow. Great stop for some small bites and a cocktail.
