I hope the owners take into account some of this feedback on my experience with my carryout order and make some changes. First, I asked if the Vegetable Masala contained any wheat or butter or cream or dairy in the "special sauce". The host checked with the kitchen and said it did not - so I get it (I love veggie masala - had it many many times at various places). 20 minutes later I had my food. I looked and first thing I noticed was "where are the vegetables". With other places, I could see the vegetables stacked up to the lid. This placed only filled it 4/5 of the way and I all could see was sauce....and then I noticed the sauce was a creamy tomato sauce. Sigh - not good...dairy makes me sick. I go back and and say this sauce looks like it contains dairy. The host says they add a heavy milk to it. I remiind him that is why I asked about the dairy in the dish. The host says the vegetable biryani does not contain dairy. So, I decided on the veggie biryani...and they charged me for the difference in price and I pay it. (I wait another 15 minutes). I get it home and open it...and am thoroughly disappointed at the look of it. Looks like it contained some frozen veggies (corn, peas, carrots and a little bit of green beans) - and they tasted like it too. The only thing that was fresh was the onions and jalapenos (and rice). I also ordered the dish mild - but all I could taste was the jalapeno heat and very little of the fragrant spices (which was powdered by the way - seems like it came from a jar). Not pleased at all.

So if you are checking out reviews on The Delhi Hut then you see that they are mixed. We have been eating there for nearly 2 years from the buffet. Some days are excellent and some days are just okay. The best selection is on the weekend and the service peak seems to be around 1 PM. Try Saturday or Sunday around that time for a best first visit and to try the widest variety of dishes. My theory on the food temperature for the buffet is that they prepare a lot of dishes before they open and place them on the hot table, but many have cooled while in the kitchen. They reheat while on the hot table, and stirring up from the bottom is a good plan as the food is warmer by the heating element. The butter chicken is always solid, chicken curry is good. Cabbage porial is a favorite of mine. Husband and I both like the Indian potato salad that has onion, jalapeno, cilantro and cumin. I would stick with the buffet if you are in any kind of hurry. Indian dishes made to order are generally not quick and there is usually just one person on the floor seating people, taking orders, and taking money. From what I have seen there may be two people working in the kitchen.

Food is good, quantities are plenty, prices are reasonable but none of the South Indian dishes (dosa, idli, vada etc) listed in the menu are served anymore. How long does it take to change the menu then so we dont waste time looking at dishes that they dont have? The lonely waiter was slow even though when we arrived, there was just one more table with two people! We were six of us, it took forever to get the appetizers/tea/coffee we ordered even before the remaining dishes. We ordered just two appetizers and a coffee, tea. That took a long time to come. The attitude of the waitress was not helpful! By the time we left, the restaurant was filling up and I can only imagine how delayed a service these folks would get. Why have one waitress on a Sat night?

Ive gotten carry out from Delhi Hut three times over the past two years. The third time was this weekend. All three times the food has been excellent. I havent had the buffet, but the food off the menu has been really good. We got Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Palak Paneer and Sambar. The Palak Paneer was a little too spicy for my wife but I loved it. The food does take a long time for carry out. They tell me 20 minutes over the phone but its more like 35 minutes. The good part is that when you get the food its hot. So its not sitting there. If youre on the west side like me and miss Priya, this is a good place to try. Their buffet looked pretty scant when I was there, but try the menu.

Prudently disappointing and perhaps a shatter at the respective of Delhi cuisine, well they also have a self-service bar that makes it very undemanding for a rather entertaining Indian cuisine. If I am having a meal, I do need a good ambiance but I prioritize that individual who can make me feel at home without its visualization but only through the click of my taste buds. They might have to take to pioneer their meals than create an epic interior designing adventure. When I am hungry I need more than empty words to do the work, and this place didnt employ enough responsibility to understand its reflection of a Delhi Heights meal orientation.

Nice ambience..but the food is not good. Most of the delhi specialities on their menu was not availabe. Maybe they will start it later. So, very few choices and that too poorly made. I ordered baigan bharta...which was basically lots peas in a tomato curry, couldnt find or taste any eggplant. Its a self service place. Also after specifically telling no butter on the breads, it was pouring off butter. May be I went on a wrong time..but this is my experience.

We order food from here every week. We will not be doing that any more. The lady spoke with "eastern" European " ascent -Was extremely rude. She was demeaning in her tone.... I get you may be having a bad day at work but should always be aware, how to speak with a customer....extremely frustrated.... I hope she learns this or management trains her....or else .. Customer with loyalty are going to run away from this business......

My absolute favorite place to go in this area. The service is fast and friendly with a comfortable atmosphere and the food is always flavorful and fresh. The person with the zero rating has obviously no real experience with Indian food so please ignore him. He cant even count to 3 (he references getting stars, spelled "starts"). I go here whenever I can and am never disappointed!!!

Food was okay, service was slow, I waited 45 minutes for takeout. They were cleaning the steam table and it looked pretty nasty and dirty under the trays. That didnt give me confidence the kitchen was the cleanest but to be fair, I didnt see the kitchen.

Good service, wonderful Indian buffet. They are open every day of the week except Tuesdays. Next time I want to come back and order off the menu because their buffet was so delicious and fresh I cant imagine how great their menu items might be.
