The last 3 times I experienced Namaste Flavours I had excellent food, believe me I dont eat there because they make you feel like a valued customer on the contrary they make you feel like they are doing you a favor by serving you. They seem to treat the AMERICAN HERITAGE with LESS RESPECT than there own IT OBVIOUS.. Today put the icing on the cake so I am writing this review. I entered Namaste Flavours and it was pretty empty there was only one table besides myself.the host said to sit anywhere and I sat at a table the he approached and said you can"t sit there, I have sat there almost everytime ive been there, so I moved. for those of you who know Namaste Flavours they charge good money but you have to go to a table and get youre own plate, napkin, fork, drinking cup. They give you a pitcher of water. After eating I went to the rest room and when I turned on the lights the cockroaches were running for cover baby ones and adult ones. They say you can tell a good restaurant by how clean the bathrooms are. That whole hallway leading to the bathrooms are unacceptable. . Then when I went to cash out the host said, "GO AND CLEAR OFF YOU"RE TABLE" I did"nt feel small in front of the customers waiting for to go orders, Im better then that. Then I handed him my AMEX card and he said they dont except that card. My recommendation is put up a sign that says NO SEATING in this area at this time, Get your own set ups instead of letting someone sit there waiting for them and post something thats visible for people to see what credit cards you take. Treat people like PEOPLE not like OBJECTS and call an exterminator, its noy mandatory that ROACHES have to be in the building. Other than that they have GREAT FOOD>

First off, It is very hard to find delicious indian food that is not masked by colors and okay spices in Detroit. I absolutely love the taste of even the vegetarian food. I do travel an hour to this place. I dropped a star because its very unlike a restaurant at dine-in. 1. You grab your own plates, plastic-ware and cups, and you clean up (we were rudely told to do so the first time we were there). 2.But, the prices are significantly less as compared to other indian restaurant. So mehh.. 3. It is very dim and can get noisy since the tables are close. 4. It does look like the place can use a renovation, there is a lot of health code violations with cracked tile, greasy floors etc 5. I recommend you get bottle water since it tastes funny and once tasted muddy. The young lady that served us was very nice and had a good demeanor.

The atmosphere was nice....but the look I had gotten from a couple people made me feel uneasy. The food was very flavorful.....I was confused at the fact that my chicken tikka masala did not come with rice but when I asked they brought it. The chicken biryani was looked good and was plentiful. The mango lassi was not like I remembered from a previous place I visited. Also, We had to grab our own takeout tray and we also threw away our own plates and silverware...(due to paper plates) the best thing was the food was to our liking. If in the area I will visit....but will not do the extra trip to visit again.

One of the worst service i have ever seen in my life in restaurants..This is a Service Industry, but there is no service in this restaurant...we need to go and take plate, water, tissue papers and after eating we need to clear the table...one more thing i want to share...i went inside with my family...i was reading the food menu..i didnt complete reading the menu, but they pulled the menu card from my hand.I really got frustrated...and at that moment, i decided not to go hereafter and i will not refer anyone to go to this hotel..they really have to improve the service...

This is the most dangerous place Ive ever eaten. I ate twice and both times my stomach got upset. Lots of pain. My parents who had come from India too suffered the same symptoms. I ate there recently, having completely forgotten my previous experience and my stomach got upset again. It took a whole week of omeprazole, nexium and completely bland food to bring the pain down. I still have a tender stomach and cant blame myself enough for putting my poor stomach through the torture. Im not sure whether it is me or vegetarian food. But this restaurant sucks.

One of the very exquisite, delicious and authentic indian food with aromatic flavors. I personally like their eggplant curry with butter naan/puri and chicken biryani. Their price range is also pretty inexpensive when you compare with other indian restaurants. I should say their ambience is not up to the mark or standards as par compared with others but dont let that ruin your enthusiasm over food. You guys should definitely try this restaurant if your nearby or crave for south indian food especially "Telangana vantalu ".

The worst Restaurant ever.. he tells me to sit at a dirty place close to overflowing and filthy smelling garbage. I moved to different place which is again dirty but still better but was a table for 4 people and we were 2. After having that pathetic food in plastic/foam plates while billing he tries to charge double the amount only because i occupied the bigger table (4 people) such an ass. Dirty and unhygienic food with a open garbage cans everywhere with filthy smell. go there if you want to fall SICK

This is a restaurant with self service. They will take ur order on the table and serve the food but then u r on ur own. Get the spoons and glasses urself. Food is served in plastic plates. The place has a feel of a college canteenwhich is not bad depending on your mindset when u r going to rest. I ordered rava masala and a veg uttapam. Dosa was reasonable but uttapam was half cooked. I am still experimenting with indian restaurants around this place. I will be disappointed if this is the best around

This used to be our favorite restaurant. But today it lost its respect. We ordered our favorite chicken dum biryani to carry out. As my husband was eating this he almost swallowed a sharp piece of glass.. When I went there and complained they just said a sorry and didnt even bother to return the money unless I asked them to. The lady at the counter behaved so rude over the phone and also in front when I dropped by there. Such a bad attitude.. You guys dont deserve one star too. Should have sued you!

Not much satisfied with the food. We ordered pepper chicken and it was not freshly made (got the order within 2 minutes which is impossible to make unless it was just heated and served). Dosa and idly didnt taste as they were supposed to. Only item which was okay was biryani which again had just rice for one of us with no meat. Coming to ambience, served in foam plates with plastic spoons is the worst and cheapest experience to have. Only good part was their carryout which they served in good quantity.
