If I could give this place a zero, I would! My husband and I just left this establishment. Currently, it is 1:43am. It will take some time for me to express my thoughts so I am sure my post will reflect a different time. We arrived to Limerick Pub at 1:27am. The bartender, Billy William, as I was told by one of the other customers was extremely rude. He said that he would not serve us a drink because the bar was closed. The sign on the door says that this establishment closes at 2:00am. Please see my photo. My husband and I would have been okay with them closing early. I have worked in several restaurants and some nights were very slow. However, the bartender was extremely rude. He stated, "We are closed, I dont even know how yall got in here." A regular stated that, " Billy William is an a**hole and offended my friend so much so that he/she left and asked me to pay his or her tab." The regular asked me not to report him but it was inevitable. It is unacceptable for anyone to treat a customer in this fashion. I have no respect for this bartender and will not return to a place where I am treated unfairly. No one deserves to be treated rudely. It is one thing to close early but it is another to be a complete jerk about it. It is a shame because this place is in our neighborhood and my husband and I are quite successful and would love to support our local establishments.

Have been here a few times, be it for their Tuesday night trivia or just a local pint as there arent too many options for a good local brew. First the good: Its nice inside and there is outdoor seating which is a great addition. The beer selection is pretty good too. Now the bad: Service here is always slow. Even when its quiet it seems to take too long to get a drink. The food is poor too. We once had potato croquettes which were an appetiser but managed to come out after the main meal as they forgot to make them. Thats okay, it happens. But, when they were arrived they were frozen in the middle. This is pretty typical and why when I go now I dont order food. So in summary, beer good, food poor, service very slow. A real let down and why I go to Mcgintys in Silver Spring far more often.

There arent a lot of places to call "your bar" in Wheaton. The Limerick generally fits that bill. The food is generally fairly good, with their chicken wings standing out. Burgers, fish and chips and other daily entrees also try to impress, even if they sometimes miss the mark. Loss of fault specials and deals, plus a trivia night that can sometimes get a little intense. The best part about this place is that it suites at a nexus close enough to stumble home after a few too many drinks.

Good beer selection on tap with seasonals offered. Food is good - go on half-price burger night and you will not be disappointed. Billy the bartender is a jovial if not insulting a-hole most times but thats what gives the place its character. Service can be slow at times but they have gotten better with that. Wish the Irish music on Saturdays would last until at least midnight (like Flanagans in Bethesda) - but hey its Wheaton.

Called at 2:30a on a Friday to asked was the kitchen closed and the person on the phone was unbelievably rude with a response of what do you think at 2:30a. I have never been there a day in my life! That was the reason of my call because I didnt know! They will NEVER get a dime from me!

I used to go to this establishment on a regular basis. This was where I hung out. Like time, things change. I will cherish my memories with Charles Garris there but I will not likely return often. Service and food are still great but the atmosphere for me has sank drastically.

This is a great Irish pub with many good options including many authentic Irish options. They also have plenty of great beers on draft. The buffalo wings are a fantastic appetizer. On Mondays they do half off all burgers. I recommend the burger with cheddar and Irish bacon

This pub has so much potential but the staff kill it. The food is mediocre, but the staff will straight insult you and make you wait 30 minutes for a beer. I have no interest in ever returning to this place there are better Irish pubs in silver spring

Im from Ireland so I was delighted to find an Irish pub in town. The beer is great and nicely priced. Service can be a little slow if youre sitting away from the bar. I havent eaten here much, but from what Ive had Id describe the food as moderate.

A chill environment with great people at Sea Shanty every Monday of the first week of the month. If you are bored and want to just sing along with others, it is your place. Feel free to sing in any language but make sure you engage everyone.

Walked in, seemed pretty nice, saw a please seat yourself sign... no one ever came to the table. Waited 10min then walked out. On the way out, the people behind the bar asked how we were doing. I ignored them and went to Outback instead.

A great Irish pub with live entertainment such as Misbehavin Mavens or Shakespeare in the Pub. The vegan sausages are highly recommended, but be warned almost every dish comes with salad, so no need to grab one before your meal.

Great local dive bar if youre looking for a more relaxed, Irish pub feel. The Guinness beef stew is amazing on a cold day and Ive never enjoyed dipping fries into flavor infused mayo until I tried their rosemary variety.

Went here on an off chance with friends on a Saturday night after dinner for some drinks. There was live fiddle music and a relaxed atmosphere. Solid drinks and friendly staff. Id definitely go back, hopefully soon.

Good beer selection, great stew, excellent folk music. Wonderful little pub, all told. Sat and listened to an older gentleman play & sing for a few hours with friends and had a great time.

For a chain establishment, this is one of the better ones. Pretty good value for decent food and a better than average beer selection. They also show most of the ppv events.

Warm atmosphere. Great service. Food is consistently wonderful. The Irish Reuben is to die for! Waitstaff has a great sense of humor (talking about you, Kyle).

Great spot, great community, great music and good-old Irish pub food (love the beer batter fish and chips) . Snake Dog IPA on tap is a plus.

Eh. Mediocre food with worse service; our waiter was aloof to the point of being rude. Expected more personality from an Irish pub.

Best Pub food anywhere. Billy at the bar pours a careful Guiness draft and must have learned how in his native Ireland.
