Food was very good. This place seemed very nice but service was awful. When we spoke to the manager about our dissatisfaction he seemed to not care at all. We made a reservation for 16 people 24 hours in advance and our table was put together as we were seated. We had one server for 16 people which wouldve been fine if our server was a bit more efficient. One person didnt get their food until about an hour after everyone else got theirs. I told her before we even ordered that the checks were separate but an hour after we were done eating she asked again if the checks were separate then spent another hour trying to separate them then another hour trying to hand them back out instead of just writing it down separately to begin with. Our server also brought out the wrong dessert and said that they would have to throw it away if we didnt take it (which we didnt order) but charged us for it. Overall the experience wouldve been better if at least the manager wouldve cared somewhat.

The food was okay, nothing great but nothing terrible. Slightly above average pub food and overpriced drinks. The menu did not reflect what they actually had, asking twice for items that they said were no longer served. The service was inexcusable. They sat a party of 16 right near the service door, after saying I didnt have a reservation which I had confirmed on the phone 3 separate times the day before. 16 people squished in the back of the restaurant after a confirmed reservation 24 hours prior. The waitress was rude, incompetent and overwhelmed. She was completely inefficient and the food took forever. One person in our part waited a hour for this food. The worst part was after a HOUR AND A HALF of finishing our meals she was still trying to get our checks in order. The staff seemed unapologetic. We arrived at 8:05 and didnt leave the restaurant until 11 PM, not by choice. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Ri Ra is a nice change from the typical of DC bars to cater either to college students (loud, crowded, smells like cheap beer) or the lobbyist/consultant crowd (empty, expensive, formal). Its Irish-themed, features at least occasional live music, and is generally not so crowded that you have to fight your way to one of the various bars. Theres a quieter "presidential room" with a restaurant-like atmosphere, a whiskey bar that offers whiskey samplers, and a range of other seating and drinking options that let you pick the noise, crowd and price levels. However, there is usually Irish music audible everywhere so if you dont like that, Ri Ra is not for you. I cant attest to its authenticity as an Irish pub -- Ive heard both that its quite genuine and that its completely fake from credible sources -- but its quite authentically pleasant.

Went there last weekend, the food service was great. Waiters and waitresses were extremely friendly and quick and happy. Food was good too. However, the security was extremely rude from the beginning, as soon as we walked in. Not sure if it was because we were a group of younger people, but he gave us an attitude from the start, as soon as we walked in. Also, the ladies in front were not very friendly, and when we were waiting for an uber drive to come pick us up, we were yelled at for waiting inside by the door. Not very comfortable, and it kind of set the night up in a bad vibe. I probably wont stop in again next time visiting because of the poor experience..

While I love their atmosphere and their live band I can say that their servers and bouncers are incredibly rude and abrasive. If you have a legitimate ID thats not from Maryland or Virginia they will tell you your ID is fake. Ive literally heard them say "wow this ID might be real." The make no effort whatsoever to make you feel comfortable here. I feel like every time I order a drink I run the risk of getting attitude from the bartenders. I asked them for a drink when they called last call and then and they told me sorry we called last call... I know this bar could be better but currently it is failing.

My wife & I stopped in for a drink after dinner in the area. The lady bartender was very polite & made great drinks. She reminds me of a sexier Natasha from the show Another Period. The Irish band playing was fantastic! They covered Irish songs & just about anything else. They hit U2, Prince, Snoop...he even drops his own beat! How often do you hear an Irish guy do that? They were amazing. Ive read some of the other reviews, we had no problem getting past the bouncer with Texas IDs & he told us to enjoy ourselves. Check this place out while youre in town.

As an Irish man living in the states, it is very difficult to find an Irish pub that authentically makes me feel like Im home again. Ri Ra has that in spades. There is nothing like being served a pint of Guinness from someone who actually knows how to pour one. They also serve a full irish breakfast, a must have for anyone who wants to know what great breakfasts are made of. My review is getting into the TLDR area, so I will end with this. Ri Ra, you are spectacular.

Para dar 5 estrellas tiene q pasar algo sobrenatural xD.... Muy buen lugar! Pensé que no me gustaría la visita a Washington, pero este lugar hizo la diferencia. Tienen que probar la Allagash.

Do not trust this pub. Had a very good night in DC last night. Thank you Washington! However, I had one drink in this pub ($11) and checked my bank this morning to find that Ri Ra had taken two lots of $78! I am disgusted by their dishonesty! I am about to fly back to the UK and will be unable to correct this issue. An excellent night ruined by thieves! Do not hand them your card!

Hambúrguer muito bom. O ambiente tem luz baixa e te tira um pouco do exterior. O atendimento é excelente. Vale a pena pra bater um papo com um bom lanche!

Great St Patties day performance and free show! Always good to get their poutine and fish/chips. Huge proportions and decent price (for most people decent means cheap). Only downside is that it gets crowded and you have to wait a very long time in order to get seated on events. But worth it ;)

The service was amazing! Becca gave us able guidance around the menu, drinks, appetizers, and plates! The atmosphere was intimate and romantic even while sitting at the window looking into Georgetowns M street. Food was exquisitely "taste-y". Cant wait to spend another date night here!

Excellent mules and I highly recommend the lamb poutine. Good beer selection. I feel like while I was visiting DC I found myself here almost every night. Big TVs to watch whatever events are on as well as live music every night with different bands coming in it seems at least weekly.

Every time we go to Georgetown we seem to end up in this bar. They had live music last week with a two man band that played non-traditional Irish music. There is also a whiskey bar upstairs that has some really rare beverages.

Decent food, but incompetent staff and an inability to expediently and effectively deliver food to any relatively large group, even with a reservation, made this an overall unpleasant experience.
