Asian Kitchen is nestled in a neighborhood shopping center along with a Quiznos and a Dunkin Donuts. While not big on ambiance, this Chinese-Thai fusion gem deserves to be recognized. Asian Kitchen is in two parts: a small entry with a couple of tables, an open kitchen and a condiment bar designed for take-out orders. To the right is a semi-private dining area that seats an intimate crowd with the restrooms towards the rear. The chairs are moderately padded, the tables are utilitarian and the decor typical (red and white Chinese Zodiac place mats, big ornamental fans and faux flowers). However austere, the place is spotless - including the restrooms. Service is friendly, not familiar (no writing their name in crayon on the table and other such nonsense). My glass was filled without having to ask and the dishes came out in good time. I think you can tell a good Mexican restaurant by the salsa and a good Chinese restaurant by the soup. I had the Chicken Tom Yum soup which was divine. This broth based delight carries the notes of basil, lemon grass and ginger with an intoxicating hit of spicy Thai paste. Mushrooms and skinless chicken breast strips swim around accordingly. My husband had the Hot and Sour soup - a staple that can be extraordinary or disappointing. Hello, extraordinary! For the entree, I chose the Goddess Chicken: all white meat breast gently battered along side an assortment of bell peppers and red chilies. But the crown to this dish was the sauce. A perfect yin/yang of sweet, sour and spicy. The husband had Chinese Fried Rice which he assured me was good (not my particular favorite). Dinner was so delicious and satisfying that I forgot to ask for chopsticks. I cannot comment as to the beer/wine list as we drank only water, and our dessert that visit came with the bill - the ever present fortune cookie (not as tasty as the ones from PF Changs but just as fun). The bill for two, including tip, came to $25. Nice. I will definitely be returning. Treat yourself.

So i was trying to try something new because I always go to Sonny Lees or China Moon to eat Chinese food. I ordered the Pad Thai and it was absolutely awful. The Pad Thai was tasteless, my noodles were still white and it looked like it had no sauce on it. Also, everyone was still eating their food and our server put the check on the table, she came back 5 minutes later and said are you guys ready to pay. We said no because we were still eating, granted it was only 8 oclock and we were the only table in the restaurant and they close at 10. When I am dining in somewhere i do not want to be rushed. Finally, our server came over to the table to ask us if we were going to tip and I am still eating my food. I thought this was completely unprofessional. I work at a restaurant and understand how important tipping is but do not ask me am i going to tip when Im not even finish eating yet. This will be my first and last time eating at this place.

Best chinese food Ive ever had. This place is a step above your typical hole-in-the-wall chinese place. Quality ingredients here. The General Tsos is so much better than anywhere else. I order it with white meat chicken (at a small extra cost). The sauce is more of a sweet thai chili sauce than the brown sauce at other places... so good over white rice. Fresh vegetables too. My wife loves bean sprouts in all her dishes and theyve always happily accommodated. I can also vouch for the Crispy Beef. The chicken fried rice is not a side item like usual but a meal in and of itself due to volume of chicken in it. They dont have delivery drivers but you can order through Carryoutmenu.

Drunken noodles with tofu is my bellwether for Thai restaurants. So what does Asian Kitchen offer? A dish thats way too salty... clumped up noodles... and what was going on with the tofu? Soft and mushy when it should have been firm and slightly crisp. Were those jalepenos and not Thai peppers? Seriously? On the plus side, the vegetarian spring rolls were hot and tasty, and the service was good, but way overpriced. Clolsest "Thai" to my office, but never going back.

This is a great hidden secret located in Owings Mills off Lakeside Boulevard. Danny, the owner is super nice and always very helpful. Asian Kitchen will deliver lunches to the office for large meetings and their food is always hot! I recommend the shrimp toast, the honey sesame chicken, and definitely the house lo mein!!! Very very good food, you will not be disapppointed!

It seems many Chinese restaurants want to try to offer Thai food now as well, except good Thai Chefs are not as easy to find. Many Thai chefs are in cities like DC, NOVA and even downtown Baltimore. All I can say is one doesnt reside here at Asian Kitchen. Their Chinese food is great, but their Thai doesnt resemble any authenticity at all. Stick to the Chinese.

I dont get any Thai food or dine in, so cant speak to that but overall it has the best Chinese food Ive had in this area. There is a place on the corner of 40 and 29 that is even better but doubt they deliver here. If you like Kung Poa chicken, this place is far better than the other places that just throw peanuts in the other greasy dishes.

I chose to carry out and ordered shrimp fried rice...OMG!! The best chinese food Ive had in a while especially in this area. This is my new home for anything chinese or thai. You will not be dissapointed...the ingredients are fresh! I didnt even need soy sauce for my shrimp fried rice!! Thats how good it is.

Worst Kung-pao shrimp... Ordered Kung-Pao shrimp and the whole dish was floating on the sauce. Sauce is supposed to be an ingredient but it shouldnt be like soup where everything gets dipped in. Ate kung-Pao in numerous restaurants and the one here is definitely the WORST of all. Would never go again....

I am a vegetarian and they mixed my order and put chicken on it. To fix the problem, they took out the chicken from the soup, which does not make it vegetarian. The waiter was nice, though.

Not the most luxuriously decorated place but the food is delicious. Great lunch menu and you will be taking a to go box for your leftovers because the portions are huge.

Great selection of Chinese and Thai dishes. They can substitute meatless chicken in just about any dish. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
