A really awesome local dive! Im a big foodie and I love authentic food. This is not the americanized version where they douse everything in cheese and refried beans! My co-worker and I came here for lunch one day and we each ordered a $5 burrito and 1 taco each ($2.50). When we sat down we got confused because the paper menu said the burritos were $10+, but the chalkboard said $5. The food came and the burritos were quite large (think chipotle size). Needless to say the extra tacos were unnecessary, but we finished them. We were both stuffed by the time we were done. When we went up to the register to pay (separately), my co-workers bill came out to be $16 (with tax)....we were both like whoa, those burritos must be the $10+ like the menu says! However, when I went to pay for my meal, the cashier indicated that the $16 was for both of our meals! Unbelievable! The amount of food that we got for $16...a real bargain..and much better than any other mexican/latin american food Ive had since being in the DC area! Oh also, you get chips with your meal when you eat in the restaurant...and the restaurant has a salsa bar....a real nice touch!

My husband and I visited, we both are Mexicans and love authentic Mexican food. I ordered tacos and they were not good at all. The meat didnt taste fresh . The chicken torta with had wasnt good either. The chicken didnt taste fresh and was really the real "chicken milanesa". The steak quesadilla was great and drinks as well, Im sure the pupusas taste great as well but its definitely not authentic Mexican food. Its a shame because its hard to fine a good spot for Mexican food in this area and we thought this was it.

Am in this place 1 to 2 times per week. If am hungry and dont feel like cooking, my first choice is here. The tongue tacos are awesome. Quesadilla, love them. Fried pork n yuca, mouth watering...I bring my friends when they visit me. My gf fell in love with the chic quesadilla. Whenever she is in twn, she expect it. Great spot. Plus, i support the family owned spots.

This is your place if you are searching for authentic Mexican food. We ordered a chicken burrito and plantains. So much flavor in literally every bite. $20 for 2 good sized burritos, a side of plantains and two drinks. ! Worth it for sure. Also the staff are really friendly and try their best to accommodate you. Will definitely visit before my vacation is over.

Great little dive for Mexican! Ever since Ponchos closed down the wife and I have been looking for a good Mexican spot in the area. Well if you are in the same predicament look no further. The sign by the prep area says it all "We are not a fast food restaurant, each item is made to order" and it clearly shows. Do yourself a favor and get here immediately!

Ive lived right down the street from this place for the past 5 years and have never stopped in until today. I had 3 tacos and the yuca con chicharron and it was excellent. I tasted a piece of the quesadilla and it was the best quesadilla Ive ever tasted. How did I miss this place? Some of the best, most authentic, Mexican food in the DMV.

Fantastic authentic food. Huge potions. Small, unassuming place. You order and pay at the stand and the food is brought out to you. There is also an option to order online in advance. Tips are accepted in cash only.

My wife and I came here for lunch. We each got tacos (chicken for me, pork for her), and they were magnificent. The meat was roasted well, with good crunch, and the sauces were delightful. Well be coming back often!

From the outside you would not expect much from this place. But the food was really good, and their extra hot and extremely spice is not for the faint of heart. This is definitely a diamond in the rough.

I felt like I was in Mexico at this place! Very authentic dishes. I was only in town for a week but I ate here almost every day for lunch. I recommend the verde Enchiladas. So good!

Their 6x6 taquitos and their tostadas are my quick lunch choice. They are delicious and affordable. You can get a full meal with less than 10 bucks at this place.
