My family is visiting Harrisburg for the first time. We are desperately missing our Mexican restaurant at home so we decided to try this one. Mistake! Let me start by saying that we went at 8 on a Tuesday. It wasnt exactly crowded. We were served chips and salsa. The salsa wasnt terrible. It isnt the best Ive ever had, but it wasnt bad.The chips were not fresh- almost stale. I let it slide though considering the time. I ordered the steak quesadilla and so did my husband. My kids both ordered quesadillas too. My sons did not come out at the same time as everyone elses food. He had to wait for about 5 minutes. That is my biggest pet peeve. Its not that hard to send everyones food out at the same time. At least make me wait - not my 3 year old. Also, the place was pretty vacant, yet our waitress seemed too busy to bother refilling my drink. Honestly, the food was edible, but it was far from good. Maybe our Mexican place back home has just spoiled us, but our trip to Fiesta Mexico was very disappointing. At the end of our meal, my husband stated that he would have rather ate at Taco Bell. Also, it wasnt cheap. It was about $45. We go get steaks at Texas Roadhouse or Outback for the same price - for a way better meal.

Sure, the food at El Rodeo in Mechanicsburg is more flavorful, but I wouldnt call the food at Fiesta Mexico "bland." They do the nachos and chips thing too. ASK for as much as you want! When you finish the salsa, ask for more--theyll give it! I went on a Tuesday, and it wasnt busy. They dont seat you upstairs when its not busy. The place is big and beautiful. I got the taco salad in the edible bowl, and it was wonderful. There was plenty of it, and I took a to-go carton of the rest of it, especially after having more chips and salsa than I was really due. ;-) The service was great... the waitress was probably back about ten or fifteen times for salsa and beverage refills while we ate and chatted. They dont do the auto-gratuity thing when you split the check, so make sure you check your check (you always should! whats with you, other people?!). I let her keep the change on a ten because the service was good. And a check WAS missed for one of my friends at first! The waitress had to go back for it. So yeah, check your check... ANYWHERE you go! The seats are a lot more comfortable, especially when you get the big ones. I dont know what weekends are like, but the Tuesday I went, it was great.

Decent but not great fare on the more authentic Mexican side; horrendous service! We went there on a decidedly UN-busy Monday evening and yet we sat for at least 20 mins before anyone even came to take our drink order. When the "waiter" did bother to show up, his disdain and lack of courtesy made it clear we were not welcome. He seemed impatient at our unfamiliarity with their menu, which is extensive. We got no utensils and no napkins and when we asked we were given 6 napkins. There were 6 of us and most of the food is eaten by hand and some of it smothered in sauces, etc. So we asked for more napkins and lo and behold we received 6 more. I am not one to want my waiter hovering all the time but he was completely inattentive bordering on absent; his manners were lacking, from his exasperated sighs to rolling of eyes and blatantly rude stares. I would never go back there and never recommend it to anyone.

My brother, sister-in-law and I were actually looking for another restaurant when we happened upon Fiesta Mexico. We took a chance and were all so glad we did. The decor was somewhat like the lovely Hotel Hershey at the entrance to its restaurant, but that was the only similarity. When I dine at a foreign-style restaurant I much prefer that it typifies the country whose cuisine they serve, not only with their menu, but also with the ambiance and the dinner music. Fiesta Mexico has it all. My sister-in-law was delighted to find that all we met on the staff spoke Spanish, which is also her native language. This was more than what we would ordinarily pay for lunch, but it was well worth it when all factors are considered. We had ordered different menu items and we found each enjoyable. The amount of food was neither too much nor too little.

STAFF WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND! Pofessional, friendly and honest folks in this restaurant. I have nothing but good things to say about Fiesta. I am from New Jersey and while visiting Harrisburg on a business trip, one of the locals recommended Fiesta Mexico for some great authentic Mexican food. I was impressed! Amazing food (I had "Joses Combination") and tasty tamales and at a great value! When I returned to Jersey I realized I had left an important personal belonging at the restaurant. One simple call to their management staff and not only did they find and hold on to it but mailed it back to me in Jersey. Thank you so much for the excellent food and great hospitality! I will return again on my next trip!

I personally like this place. From what I understand its owned by the same people at El Rodeo which makes sense since the menu is exactly the same ahaha. Ive always had excellent service here and good food. Last time I was there I had the fajita salad and it was really fresh. When they served it my vegetables were still crisp. Our servers always seem to be happy and willing to go the extra mile for you and its always fast. I cant say Ive ever been left sitting there just waiting. They keep the chips, salsa and drinks filled at all times. I just enjoy going to this place and would actually send someone here over El Rodeo. The parking is better and the restaurant is larger.

We were there to celebrate a family members birthday & our party was large. The service was "standard," as expected. The food came out promptly, & those who like Mexican enjoyed it very much. I dont care for Mexican. The alcoholic beverages were inconsistent in quality. Two of our party ordered frozen strawberry margaritas-one was frozen well, & the other was not. The decor was lovely, & the restaurant was clean, except for the old, dried up salsa stuck between the pages of my menu. Overall though, not a bad place if you like Mexican.

Im not going to bash the whole joint, but Ill give you an idea on how we made out... 1. Prices were a bit high for what you got. 2. Server acted like he wanted to be anywhere other than working there. 3. Salsa was awesome, but again... server was distracted. 4. Flavor of the food wasnt the best. Very blaa. 5. Huge resturant, pretty clean, but middle of the day was empty. Maybe it was the time we were there and the server that we had, but I have had better food and service at other Mexican resturants that I will go back to.

Our first time at this restaurant, Wednesday August 23 at 8pm. When you enter the restaurant the hostess are so busy talking to each other that you have to wait until they notice you. The food is excellent, the waitress is okay, but the service in general needs to improve. Now, when they give you the bill the tip is included, which I dont understand why the list the % that you can choose from. When we left no one was at the exit.
