When I say this has got to be the worst IHOP experience I have EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER had, I mean the absolute WORST!!!! (Why didnt I heed the advice of my fellow Yelpers???) For starters, on the day of my visit, Ms Phyllis the hostess, was manning the hostess stand & taking names as the restaurant which was kind of crowded; no biggie, ok. I noticed 3, not 1, not 2, but 3 sets of diners enter, put the names on the list (bc I personallllllllly saw 2 sets drive up after us, exit their vehicle & THEN give their names) after myself & my family entered, listed our names & sat await a table. When the 3 sets of diners were seated, I walked to Ms Phyllis she consulted the list & advised me "they were here already"; hmmmmm puzzling to me because as she looked at the list, so did I & I clearly saw our family name & another dead smack in the middle of names that had crossed through with a line... Maam, how are you skipping folks like this???? Then magically, after the Q&A session with Ms Phyllis, a table became "available" for my party of 3.5 (3 adults 1 baby); what miracles never cease #sarcasm Mr Donald the server was ever so pleasant & made sure our food was delivered & was not only pleasing to the palette, but also in temperature & appearance. But the proficiency of his food delivery, he lacked in memory. We had to ask several times for condiments & drinks to be refilled. When asked for the check, we got it, but didnt know what to do with it: pay at the register, give it to him or possible eat the check, sheesh #moresarcasm The one & ONLY bright spot of the visit was Ms Sharnyta; she seemed to be our personal attendant. She made sure we got the things that Mr Donald failed to provide & additionally she visited frequently to check if there was anything more we desired to have; #IHOPsuperstar. Id like to see her transferred out to another location where CUSTOMER SERVICE matters. Apparently, here, its all about the food. The other tom foolery that can be noted & which attributed to a poooor poor rating in my book was: -the table we were seated at, we had to ask it be wiped down ONCE we were seated; thought this was supposed to happen PRIOR to seating folks; IJS -shouting across the restaurant by fellow employees, one to another; I mean lets use our professional inside voices people -trashed napkins strewn about on the floor & in the walk way, thanks Ms Sharnyta for attending to that -more loud talking & huddling of employees at the register; I mean I came here to dine, not to overhear conversations about who shot John (figurative reference) -my sister asked for a high chair; I think my niece grew 12 inches by the time we got it... My sister literally walked over to get it & once she was noticed, someone came to assist her with delivering the chair I was appalled at this visit; never have I seen such un-customer friendly type, unprofessional, backyard antics in my life thus far. I paid the bill & we were outta there... That was an experience I never care to repeat.

I have been to many IHOPs and I must say that this one is without question, my worst experience. It was about 5:30 Sunday morning on 8/20 when me and my party of 3 arrived after a long night at the casino. Immediately upon entering, I noticed a foul scent emitting from the restaurant. It smelled like a nasty wet rag. There were two other tables occupied when we arrived, and that is only important because it eliminates being busy as the excuse for why this place was so disgustingly dirty. Wait for it...there was a bug in my menu!!! Yes, you read correctly; a bug! The tables and floors were all dirty with food, and the edge of the seats between the spine and the actual sitting piece, were full of nasty stuff that was clearly not from the previous customer. My sister in law insisted on washing her hands prior to ordering, and the look on her face when she returned said it all. Why would the bathroom in this establishment be any cleaner than the actual place? Nevertheless, we were famished and ordered. ( I know...but we were very hungry). Fortunately, the food was fine with no complaints. The waitress was also good at taking the order, and making sure we were being attended to. At the end, we ignore the nasty atmosphere and ate our breakfast. We even left the average 15% tip for the waitress. That said, I really hope someone takes a serious look at how this place is managed. It was appalling to me that a big name like IHOP will allow this place to operate in such a manner.

I didnt like my experience here at all. We waited 20 min to get in which is understandable but when we sat down it took us 30 min to get our order. Our server did not have customer service at all. We asked him for something and he questioned us and even was restisting. Our mugs had stains on it and the hot water wasnt hot. For half of the time when we were trying to ask our waiter something he went IMA we had to ask other waiters for the things we need . My pancakes were cold and the meal wasnt very tasty at all. Because I am a good customer I tipped but I shouldnt have.I will not be returning to this I hop.the name of the server who assisted us was TIM . Do not have him serve you. When it was time for the bill to come he took out money and didnt come back for about another 15 min. Then he forgot how much we gave him and had to go back to the machine AND DIDNT GIVE US A RECEIPT. When I asked him for the receipt he Said he cant give it to me because he already put the Order in the machine. THEN he questioned why we wanted It like we didnt believe that that was the exact change.VERY VERY poor service and should fire almost all the employees. NEVER AGAIN AND THEN we walked outside and there was a loiter around and he was trying to sell us socks. When we refused he kept pressuring and Im surprised I hop didnt kick him off then property

The Salaried Manager Has Established A Less Than Professional Standard. 7 Jan 2017, we arrived to a busy restaurant with a wait time to be seated at 15 minutes. Not unusual for this restaurant chain on a midday Saturday. Here is an overview of the events . We arrived at 1:08 PM, we were seated at 1:40 PM. We counted 17 red shirted staff members including two hostesses literally standing around the kitchen pick up point. At 2:08 PM we finally were able to put our order in. At 2:35 PM we asked to speak with the manager on duty. At 2:45 PM our meals arrived and again we asked to speak with the manager. At 3:00 PM the manager never arrived to enter act with us. My experience and conclusions; during this excessive wait time, not once did I hear the customers waiting to be seated became unruly. Once we were seated, we noticed a lot of tables with beverages only and they too appeared to either waiting to order or waiting for order delivery. Next management allows staff members to stand around on the clock for better than one hour and not provide a service to the seated customers. The manager on duty, well, she never arrived. Management is not responsive to its public. Management here has a dim view of its patron. My recommendation is to drive the 5 miles to the IHOP in Forestville, MD, responsive, courteous, friendly and respectful.
