I have been dining at Yees restaurant for more than 20 years. I have always enjoyed the food and the egg drop soup there was my favorite until last night on 08/12/2017. The only way I can describe what was in my egg drop soup is to say it looked like baby oysters in my soup or bad eggs. The pieces were greenish/grey color and the pieces were firm. I brought the soup back and ask the waitress/hostess or just down right rude person. What is this in my soup. She said soy that it changes the color of the egg and the other girl said it was something that came off the wok when they cooked the egg and the girls tell me that they are supposed to pick that stuff out before serving the soup. Can you say gross. The so call professional waitress/hostess tells me she can replace the soup. I explained that I dont want another soup so she asked what do you want in replace of the soup. I said maybe some pork fried rice with attitude she says um No that its more in price then the soup. I was like really she said here is your money back on the soup. If this was my restaurant I would eat the 3.00 dollar difference in price to make my customer feel appreciated so they would Keep coming back. Really I dont think 3.00 dollars would break their bank account. From what I understand Mr Yee is no longer running the Restaurant that his wife and sons are. Well since they have been the food has gone down hill in the last couple of years. Their once upon a time awesome fried rice now taste like frozen fried rice from the grocery store. Like they have cut corners on some of their ingredients to save a few bucks. Well I have never until this point been served food that looked that bad or had an rude, hype up on something attitude from hell waitress/hostess. If I could upload a picture of the greenish/grey stuff that was in my soup I would. From this point forward I will never spend another dime at Yees that i would go spend my money on Chinese food from the mall. Good luck to the ones that still dine there. May your stomachs be made of cast iron and your shoulders are strong to handle that rude, unprofessional, unapologetic, insulting waitress/hostess that they have working there representing the restaurant.

Save yourself the money and a night of diarrhea and cramps. Disappointing to say the least. Everything is microwaved and nothing is fresh. My dogs wouldnt even eat the leftovers. I dont know how this place has good reviews unless they are fake. No one in my group liked anything. The shrimp are the size and texture of a pencil eraser. The meat is chewy and terrible quality. Everything tastes microwaved. I tried cutting a piece of sliced carrot in half but couldnt. I had to pick it up with my fingers and I could actually fold it completely in half without it splitting. I had to literally tear the carrot in half and it wasnt easy. It took muscle to do it and shocked everyone at the table. So there we were, 3 adults playing with the rubbery vegetables on our plates amazed because we have never seen carrots or any other vegetable with that kind of texture before. Maybe they were dehydrated the rehydrated? Who knows? They definitely werent fresh, frozen, or canned. The dining room was empty and dirty. Food and price stickers still left on plates. Rude waitstaff. Where are the chinese people? None work here. There is a mexican who works here tho. Not worth the price at all. Nothing made to order. You couldnt pay me to eat here again.

Been going here for years..the best chinese place in Slidell by far. The food is always fresh, staff is always friendly (unless they are very busy- the place does get pretty packed) The prices are unbeatable for the amount of food you get. Just dont expect them to substitute anything..for example extra veggies instead of fried rice..you will be told they dont do that there. My favorite is the Boneless fried chicken w/chinese veggies. A few times I have gotten dried/hard chicken but not often..so thats why I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. As far as dining inside..I highly suggest it. My first date was here and had a blast. Clean, and relaxed atmosphere =)

I thought that this place would be great, given all the reviews. Prices were reasonable; we paid $26 for two people, including an appetizer and entrees ($7-8 all-day specials). But there were a number of things that made not even that price point worth it. Cleanliness of the restaurant and facilities was questionable. Sweet tea tasted old. The entrees were not good at all. My husband and I ordered two different dishes, but both were dowsed in a funky, soupy brown gravy. Couldnt eat more than 25% of it. The only redeeming factor were the eggs rolls, which were delicious. If you have another option for restaurants, you might want to pass on this one.

The food is so fresh and prepared while you wait. Nothing bad here. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. I love a place that treats you like a close family friend. Service is fast and efficient. I really like the shrimp chop suey. So good I order it to go and take it to my parents in Hattiesburg!

I have been going there since before Katrina and they have he to mess anything up. Wether you are eating in or getting your food to go it has been my favorite place to go for some home made chinese. To add the owners are the sweetest people you will meet.

One of the best Chinese take put restaurants in town! They have an amazing homemade sweet and sour sauce that I make sure to ask for every time I go. Been eating here for years and its always been really good, freshly cooked food. Highly recommend!

Best Chinese youll find in the Greater New Orleans area. If you like Chinese food then do yourself a favor and check it out. Ive only had better at one place on the West Coast. Yee Chinese knows how to make good Chinese food.

Yees is the best Chinese food around. Great pricing, portions and quality. Its the stardard that I compare other Chinese restaurants too and the competition usually doesnt even come close.

I love their food and friendly service and normally I would give them 5 stars but on busy days they really need more than 1 waitress in there, thats my only complaint .

Been coming here off and on for years. Quality has always been consistently good. For such a small restaurant decor was decent. Service is also good.

The owner is awesome as well as the staff. The food is also great. I recommend anything on the menu with some Chinese doughnuts for dessert. Yum.

Just plain better than your average Chinese. Small family owned place where you are always greeted by a familiar face and great Chinese Cusine.
