Im 5 months pregnant, and youd think just about any place that serves Chinese food could cure my craving for it, right? Nope! My sweet and sour chicken was very disappointing. The sauce was on the side, which was a good idea so the chicken didnt get soggy, but it tasted terrible. The fried chicken was way over cooked and had a super thick layer of batter. Also, the fried fried rice was like yellow rice with a couple marsels of pork. So the eggroll had to be good...Not that either! It was just cabbage and if you looked really close, maybe some ground pork. Im usually forgiving when it comes to food (especially when a craving kicks in), but this was inexcusable and I will NEVER eat at Mr Joes again.

We absolutely positively love this place. We can order ahead by phone to pick up our order, eat there, or order and wait for it to be prepared. The family that owns this restaurant is very friendly and always make our order right and the food always tastes great. This is a very family oriented restaurant that we prefer to eat at to support local members of our community. All of Slidell was sad and shocked when this place was victim to an armed robbery. We are happy that the family decided to reopen. You cant beat the food and service of Mr. Joes.

Odered 2 plates it came to 18$ they where very small portions and a 1$ extra for shrimp fried rice that 5 shrimp in it. When my boyfriend got home and started eating he noticed hair in his marderian chicken sauce. We called them and they played stupid like they didnt understand me..never again will we order Mr Joe and dont recommend it to anyone else if thats how they handle there buissness

The best Chinese location in Slidell. Comes in heavier duty plastic containers and portions are good for the money. Only $7 for lunch that is an entree, rice, and soup. Great Mom n Pop type place. Eat here often and not sure I can recall ever having an issue with anything. English is not great if you stray off the food.

I ordered this because of the other 2 good reviews. On the positive side, the food was hot and the chicken and brocoli was good. On the negative side, the shrimp fried rice was HORRIBLE. There were no vegetables just rice and shrimp and it was yellow looking. I would never order from this place again.

The food was terrible. It tasted like it was burnt. I usually go to the Chinese House on Robert Road in Slidell. Not only is the food much better, but you also get a egg roll with your order. I will not go back to Mr. Joes again

These folks have a small store front in a mini strip mall in Slidell, LA. I have found the food flavorful, fast, and plentiful. I like the Moo Goo Gai Pan especially. Try it.

Delivered our food to a hotel & put no utensils in the bag. No fortune cookie either. The sesame chicken had an odd taste but the chicken chow mein was ok.
