Well... this was my 3rd time to go here and like the last 2 it let me down. You would think for the prices they charge the service, ambiance, and food would be great. Sadly, this is not the case. 1st visit there I got a raw lobster tail brought out to me which isnt that big a deal, they took it back and cooked it properly and even removed it from my bill so this visit was decent. 2nd visit my order was simply forgotten about all together. I did get my food a short time later and was comped for the delay, so it was not terrible enough to keep me from ever returning. This last visit was on Christmas eve, which I understand the strain and such the restaurant is going through, but what was experienced left me dumbfounded. As we were waiting to be seated, reservations were made, the greeter cut in front of us then said to follow her. We were sat in an aisle table, which again isnt that big a deal, where I was ran into twice by wait staff without so much as an excuse me or sorry. I then asked to be moved to the open table right next to us. We got moved and all seemed well again. Drinks were ordered and an appetizer. My fiancé and myself decided to try the crab mac and cheese. We got our waters and had no straws. Then we got our adult beverages, we got the swampthing, and again no straws as you need a different straw to drink them with. Then we got the straws for both and the appetizer so all was well once again. Then we took a bite of the crab mac and both got mouthfuls of shell, then took another bite thinking surely that was just the one spot and again shells. We sat there for about 10 minutes or so until our waiter came up and we informed him we were just going to enjoy our drinks and then leave. We asked if we could get the crab mac removed and he said he would go get a manager for us. The manager came up to our table and almost word for word said this, " I removed the crab mac and cheese I hope yall come back sometime." Then dropped the check and walked away... there was no sorry, or an explanation, or even anything at all. We truly felt invisible the whole time we were there. We paid for our drinks and even tipped our waiter. Then we went to pappasitos and had great food and service.

I dont know where to start on how excellent our dining experience was yesterday at Pappadeaux in Fort Worth. This was a fun day with my oldest granddaughter and her friend who are both Seniors so we were kind of celebrating them both going away after school. I want to give my humble gratitude to Pappadeauxs for hiring THE BEST waiter I have ever had the pleasure to meet. His name is SETH. He took the time to answer ALL of our questions. He knew details of every menu item. He knew questions to ask to narrow down suggestions for us!! We could not have been more pleased with our choices of appetizers of lobster bisque, sausage seafood gumbo and our uniquely stacked mozzarella sticks!! These were followed by our selections of Alaskan King Crab, Sampler Platter and the Blackened Catfish with Red Beans and Rice. I LOVED the looks on my granddaughter and her friends faces as they were served this extravagant meal!! To top it off, the Manager stopped by and offered us a dessert on the house because he had heard from our waiter that it was our first visit there. Seth asked if we trusted him to pick our dessert for us. Of course we agreed!! By this time, we all had agreed we would trust his decision on just about anything to do with food or drinks!! Seth came out with the largest slice of cheesecake we had ever seen!! It was covered in fresh berries, sauce, cool whip and topped with mint leaves!! It was absolutely heavenly!! THE BEST we have ever had!! Our night was fabulous!! Thank you Seth for being the best waiter I have ever met and for giving my granddaughter, Taylor and her friend, Breanna, THE BEST dining experience they have ever had!! Thanks to the Manager for our free desert!! Seth has definitely made long term customers out of all of us!! Pappadeauxs was excellent!! I highly recommend it!! Get there early on the weekend before the wait. Seth, we will definitely ask for your section in the future!! Thanks again for making the outing with my granddaughter more memorable!!

This was our first time at Pappadeux. It had been recommended to us from a friend time and time again. He knows of our love for Seafood. Its quite hard to find a decent restaurant that serves great tasting Seafood that also has great flavor and great wait staff. We have finally found it! Pappadeux is awesome! The walk up and the garden, beautiful. The outside seating, tasteful and inviting. We were seated inside the restaurant and everyone was friendly. Our server for the evening was Lindsey. She was totally awesome! She was courteous, friendly, nice, had an outstanding knowledge of the menu and drinks. We had the crab cakes as an appetizer. Crab melted in our mouths. Warm bread with soft, soft butter. My husband had Jumbo Sea Scallops with Broccolini. Sumptuous! I had the Crispy Atlantic Salmon. The sear was perfect. It was topped off with crab meat, shrimp on a bed of spinach. Stunning dish! Our drinks were Frenchman Street Spritz,. Not heavy not too sweet, perfect with our meal. She always checked on us, we were extremely satisfied. Finally she asked about dessert, normally this is a no no for us, but we said, Lets take a look at your menu. To our surprise she had a platter of actual samples of the desserts! One look at that platter of goodies, we opted for the cheesecake. To our delight the Manager on duty , Corbett comp our dessert, being our first time there. PAPPADEUX is our new Seafood restaurant! Loree & Bruce Brown

Today, Friday, I had a two person business meeting scheduled at Pappadeaux Restaurant, which was rescheduled, but since I was in the restaurant as I learned of the rescheduled, I was seated, and began asking questions since this was my first time in this really nice place to eat. Lots of people chose that restaurant today also. David mentioned his name and I found a fish item, with his advice, we ordered. The bread he brought out was delicious, fresh, warm with butter and a pull type bread. The salad came with the order which was fresh and crispy, WOW, Yumm, The main dish was placed in front of me, the fish was warm and very tasty, the vegetables of green beans and a red potato, with herbs, OMG. Really flavorful. He offered desert, but the meal was so yummy and delicious I was full. I will go back to the restaurant for the really nice staff. Pleasant and checked on me several times, with smiles and making sure my meal was the best in the house. Ruth

Pappadeaux has been a favorite of ours since we moved here from Chicago five years ago. All of the food is fresh, delicious and interesting (none of the rehashed Sysco crap like you find at almost every other chain restaurant), and their fish is top notch! They fly in their fish fresh every morning, and you can really taste the difference. I would definitely steer you towards the Halibut or Mahi Mahi, as their exquisite preparation of both (and the quality!) have me coming back at least once a month. Sure, its a little pricey, two people typically dine for $30 at lunch or $45 at dinner, but the exceptional waitstaff (mostly), fantastic bartenders and congenial managers go that extra mile to make it worth every penny. Look, I know the restaurant industry, and every shrimp you buy in DFW is going to have been frozen, and no matter where you get it, Tilapia is Tilapia. If you want an exceptional meal and are feeling adventurous, Pappadeaux is the place for you!
